²⁰ She replied to them, You must not call me Naomi. Call me Mara, for He Who-Suffices has brought intense bitterness on me.

¹⁸ He does not allow me to get back my wind, But rather He surfeits me with bitterness.

³ You have shown Your people hardship; You have made us drink wine that causes tremoring.

¹⁷ Rouse yourself! Rouse yourself! Rise, Jerusalem, who has drunk from the hand of Yahweh the cup of His fury. The dregs of the tremorous cup you drink, have you wrung out." ¹⁸ None is conducting her, of all the sons she bears. And no one is holding fast by her hand, of all the sons she brings up." ¹⁹ Two things, they are meeting you. Who will condole with you? The devastation and the breaking and the famine and the sword--who will comfort you? ²⁰ Your sons swoon. They lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a noose, full of the fury of Yahweh, the rebuke of your Elohim." ²¹ Wherefore pray, hear this, humbled one, and drunken one, yet not with wine:" ²² Thus says your Lord Yahweh, and your Elohim, who is contending for His people, "Behold! I take from your hand the tremorous cup, the dregs of the cup of My fury. You are not continuing to drink it any longer,

¹⁵ Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am causing them--this people--to eat wormwood, And I have caused them to drink water of gall,

¹⁵ Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, concerning the prophets:Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Has profanity gone forth to all the land."

¹⁵ `For thus said Yahweh Elohim of Israel unto me, Take the wine cup of this fury out of My hand, and you have caused all the nations to drink it unto whom I am sending you;" <sup>16</sup> And they have drunk, and shaken themselves and shown themselves foolish, because of the sword that I am sending among them." <sup>17</sup> `And I take the cup out of the hand of Yahweh, and cause all the nations to drink unto whom Yahweh sent me:" ¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day."

²⁷ And you have said unto them:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts Elohim of Israel, Drink you, yea drink abundantly, And vomit, and fall, and rise not, Because of the sword that I am sending among you."
