¹ A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches; Grace is better than silver and gold. ² The rich man and the destitute one encounter in this:Yahweh is the Maker of them all. ³ A prudent man sees peril and conceals himself, Yet the simple pass along and are mulcted." ⁴ The consequence of humility is fear of Yahweh, Riches and glory and life." ⁵ Pricking thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse man; He who guards his soul shall keep far from them. ⁶ Train up a youth corresponding to his proper way; Even when he is old he shall not withdraw from it. ⁷ The rich man rules over the destitute, And the borrower is servant to the man from whom he borrows." ⁸ He who sows iniquity shall reap sorrow, And the club of his rage shall fail." ⁹ He who has a bountiful eye shall be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor." ¹⁰ Drive out the mocker, and quarreling shall go forth, And suing and dishonor shall cease." ¹¹ He who loves a clean heart, on whose lips is grace, The king shall be his associate." ¹² The eyes of Yahweh preserve knowledge, Yet He overthrows the words of the treacherous one." ¹³ The slothful man says:There is a lion outdoors; I shall be murdered in the middle of the square. ¹⁴ The mouth of the strange woman is a deep pit; He with whom Yahweh is indignant shall fall thereinto. ¹⁵ Folly is tied to the heart of a youth; The club of discipline shall put it far from him. ¹⁶ He who extorts from the poor to increase his gain And he who gives to the rich will surely come to want. ¹⁷ Stretch out your ear and hear the words of the wise, And let your heart be set on my knowledge." ¹⁸ For it will be pleasant when you keep them in your inner being, When they are established together on your lips." ¹⁹ That your trust may come to be in Yahweh, I make them known to you today, indeed you." ²⁰ Have I not written for you threefold With counsels and knowledge, ²¹ To cause you to know verity, words of truth, To reply with sayings, truth for those sending you? ²² Do not pillage the poor, for he is poor, And do not crush the humble one in the gate." ²³ For Yahweh Himself shall contend their contention, And He will defraud their defrauders of their soul." ²⁴ Do not associate with an angry person, And do not set out with a furious man." ²⁵ Lest you should become trained in his paths, And you get into a trap for your soul." ²⁶ Do not be among those who clasp the palm in pledge, Among those who are surety for loans;" ²⁷ If you have nothing to make a repayment, Why have your bed taken from under you? ²⁸ Do not move away the eonian boundary marker Which your fathers have made. ²⁹ Do you perceive a man who is expert in his work? He shall station himself before kings; By no means shall he station himself before obscure men.

⁴⁷ and also the servants of the king have come into bless our lord king David, saying, Your Elohim does make the name of Solomon better than your name, and his throne greater than your throne; and the king bows himself on the bed,

¹ A good name is better than the best attar, And the day of one's death than the day of his birth."

²⁰ However, in this be not rejoicing, that the spirits are subject to you, yet be rejoicing that your names are engraven in the heavens."

¹⁰ and extricates him out of all his afflictions, and gives him favor and wisdom in front of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and constitutes him governor over Egypt and over his whole house."

³ Yes, I am asking you also, genuine yokefellow, be aiding them, these women who compete together with me in the evangel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the scroll of life."

³⁹ And these all, being testified to through faith, are not requited with the promise of God concerning us"

⁷ Yahweh dispossesses, and He makes rich, He makes low, yea, He makes high.

¹⁵ Did not He Who made me in the belly make him also, So that the same One prepared us both in the womb?

¹⁹ Who does not repute chiefs, Nor is He partial to the rich-man above the poor,For they all are the work of His hands?

¹ {A Psalm for the Sons of Korah{ Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all dwellers of this transience!" ² Both common sons of Adam and noted sons of man, Rich and needy together."

³¹ He who extorts from the poor shows reproach to his Maker, Yet he glorifies Him who is gracious to the needy."

¹³ The destitute one and the fraudulent man encounter in this:Yahweh gives light to the eyes of them both.

¹⁹ Now a certain man was rich and he dressed in purple and cambric, daily making merry splendidly." ²⁰ Now there was a certain poor man named Lazarus, who had been cast at his portal, having ulcers,

²¹ Yet the eye can not say to the hand, "I have no need of you,or, again, the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."

² For if there should be entering into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in splendid attire, yet there should be entering a poor man also, in filthy attire, ³ and you should be looking on the one wearing the splendid attire and be saying, "You sit ideally here,and to the poor one be saying, "You stand there,or, "Sit here under my footstool, ⁴ were you not discriminating among yourselves, and did you not become judges with wicked reasonings? ⁵ Hear, my beloved brethren! Does not God choose the poor in the world, rich in faith and enjoyers of the allotment of the kingdom which He promises to those who are loving Him?

²⁰ The one fearful of the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee to the houses. ²¹ Yet he who was not setting his heart on the word of Yahweh, forsook his servants and his cattle in the field.

⁷ And I saw among the simple, I detected among the sons, A youth who had lack of heart wisdom."

²² Suddenly he was going after her, Like a bull that comes to the slaughter, Like a calf to the bonds of foolish creatures, ²³ Until an arrow thrusts through his liver, As through a bird that hastened to the snare When it did not know that it was set for its soul."

¹⁶ Let whoever is simple withdraw hither, And whoever has lack of heart wisdom; And she says to him:" ¹⁷ Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in concealments is pleasant." ¹⁸ But he does not know that the Rephaim are there, That those she has called are in the depths of the unseen."

¹⁶ A wise man is fearing and withdrawing from evil, Yet the stupid one is congenial and trusting to it."

¹² A prudent man sees peril and conceals himself; The simple pass along and are mulcted.

¹ The man receiving reproofs who is still stiff necked Shall be broken in an instant, and there will be no healing."

²⁰ Go, my people! Come into your chambers, and close your doors about you. Hide for a little moment, till the menace shall pass." ²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);" ¹⁶ then let those in Judea flee into the mountains. ¹⁷ Let him who is on the housetop not descend to take away the things out of his house. ¹⁸ And let him who is in the field not turn back behind him to pick up his cloak.

² for you yourselves are accurately aware that the day of the Lord is as a thief in the night - thus is it coming! ³ Now whenever they may be saying "Peace and security,then extermination is standing by them unawares, even as a pang over the pregnant, and they may by no means escape." ⁴ Now you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day may be overtaking you as a thief, ⁵ for you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness. ⁶ Consequently, then, we may not be drowsing, even as the rest, but we may be watching and be sober."

¹⁸ that by two immutable matters, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong consolation, who are fleeing for refuge to lay hold of the expectation lying before us,

⁷ By faith Noah, being apprized concerning that which is not as yet being observed, being pious, constructs an ark for the salvation of his house, through which he condemns the world, and became an enjoyer of the allotment of the righteousness which accords with faith."

⁹ Fear Yahweh, all His saints, For there is no lack to those fearing Him." ¹⁰ The sheltered lions, they are destitute, and they famish, But those seeking after Yahweh shall not lack any good."

¹ {Praise Yah{ Happy is the man who fears Yahweh; In His instructions he very much delights. ² His seed shall become masterful in the land; The generation of the upright, it shall be blessed." ³ Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness is standing into the future."

¹⁶ Length of days are in her right hand, And in her left hand are riches and glory."

²¹ He who pursues righteousness and benignity Shall find life, righteousness and glory."

⁶ It comes to be the faithfulness of your eras. The safeguard of salvation is wisdom and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh, it is its treasure."

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

³³ Yet seek first the kingdom and its righteousness, and these all shall be added to you."

⁸ for bodily exercise is beneficial for a few things, yet devoutness is beneficial for all, having promise for the life which now is, and that which is impending."

⁶ Yet greater is the grace He is giving. Wherefore He is saying, God "the proud is resisting, yet to the humble He is giving grace."

¹⁰ Be humbled, then, in the Lord's sight, and He shall be exalting you."

¹³ know certainly that Yahweh your Elohim is not continuing to dispossess these nations from before you, and they have been to you for a gin, and for a snare, and for a scourge, in your sides, and for thorns in your eyes, till you perish from off this good ground which Yahweh your Elohim has given to you.

⁸ For he will be sent forth into a net by his feet, And he shall walk about on the mesh.

⁶ Let Him rain coals of fire and sulfur on the wicked, And let a simoon wind be the assigned portion of their cup.

²⁶ With the purified one You show Yourself pure, But with the perverse one You show Yourself cunning." ²⁷ For You Yourself shall save the humbled people, But You shall abase those whose eyes are exalted."

¹ He who is dwelling in the concealment of the Supreme Shall lodge in the shadow of Him Who-Suffices.

³ He who constricts his mouth guards his soul; He who distends his lips, it is catastrophe for him."

¹⁵ Goodness of intelligence produces favor, Yet the way of the treacherous brings calamity."

¹⁹ The way of a slothful man is like a hedge of prickly nightshade, Yet the path of the upright is a highway."

¹⁷ The highway of the upright goes away from evil; He guards his soul who preserves his way.

¹⁶ He who observes instruction guards his soul; He who despises his ways shall die.

¹⁸ We are aware that everyone who has been begotten of God is not sinning, but he who is begotten of God is keeping himself, and the wicked one is not touching him."

²⁰ Now you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in holy spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for life eonian."

¹⁹ For I know him, that, responding, he will instruct his sons and his household after him, and keep will they the way of Yahweh to do justice and judgment, that Yahweh may bring on Abraham all that He speaks concerning him.

⁹ But guard yourself and keep your soul especially vigilant, lest you should forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they should withdraw from your heart, all the days of your lives. You make them known to your sons and to your sons' sons, lest you forge.

⁷ Repeat them to your sons, and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you arise.

²⁸ and also I have caused him to be asked for Yahweh, all the days that he has lived--he is asked for Yahweh;' and he bows himself there before Yahweh.

²⁶ And the youth Samuel is going on and growing up, and [is] good both with Yahweh, and also with men.

² and now, lo, the king is walking habitually before you, and I have become aged and gray-headed, and my sons, lo, they [are] with you, and I have walked habitually before you from my youth till this day. ³ `Lo, here [am] I; testify against me, over-against Yahweh, and over-against His anointed; whose ox have I taken, and whose ass have I taken, and whom have I oppressed; whom have I bruised, and of whose hand have I taken a ransom, and hide mine eyes with it? --and I restore to you..

³ Which we have heard, and we know them, And our fathers, they have recounted to us." ⁴ We shall not suppress them from their sons, Recounting to the next generation the praises of Yahweh, And His strength and His marvelous works that He has done." ⁵ For He set up a testimony in Jacob, And He placed a law in Israel, Which He enjoined on our fathers To make them known to their sons, ⁶ That the next generation may know, The sons who shall be born; They shall rise and recount them to their sons."

⁴ And fathers, do not be vexing your children, but be nurturing them in the discipline and admonition of the Lord."

¹⁵ and that from a babe you are acquainted with the sacred scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

¹ And a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets has cried unto Elisha, saying, `Your servant, my husband, is dead, and you have known that your servant was fearing Yahweh, and the lender has come to take my two children to him for servants..

⁴ And there are who are saying, `We have borrowed money for the tribute of the king, [on] our fields, and our vineyards;" ⁵ and now, as the flesh of our brethren [is] our flesh, as their sons [are] our sons, and lo, we are subduing our sons and our daughters for servants, and there are of our daughters subdued, and our hand has no might, and our fields and our vineyards [are] to others..

²³ One who is destitute speaks with supplications, Yet the rich man responds with roughness."

¹⁶ He who extorts from the poor to increase his gain And he who gives to the rich will surely come to want.

²² Do not pillage the poor, for he is poor, And do not crush the humble one in the gate."

² And it comes to be, as people, so priest, as servant, so his lord, as maid, so her mistress, as buyer, so seller, as borrowee, so borrower, as lender, so him to whom is lent."

⁶ Thus says Yahweh, Due to three transgressions of Israel, and due to four, I will not turn it back, due to their selling the righteous for silver, and the needy for the sake of a pair of sandals."

¹ Hear this word, young cows of Bashan, which are in the mountain of Samaria, the ones extorting the poor, the ones bruising the needy, the ones saying to their lords, Bring, and let us drink."

¹¹ Wherefore, because of your trampling on the poor, and the load of cereal you are taking from him:You build houses of trimmed stone, yet you shall not dwell in them; you plant coveted vineyards, yet you shall not drink their wine." ¹² For I know that many are your transgressions and staunch are your sins. You are distressers of the righteous, takers of his propitiatory shelter. And they turn aside the needy in the gateway."

⁴ Hear this, you who are snuffing up the needy in the morning, and who eradicate the humble of the land,

⁶ to buy the poor for silver, and the needy for the sake of a pair of sandals? Even the tailings of the cereal we will retail!"

²⁵ Now, at his not having wherewith to pay, the lord orders him to be disposed of, and his wife and children and all, whatever he has, and payment to be made."

⁶ Yet you dishonor the poor one. Are not the rich tyrannizing over you? And they are drawing you to tribunals.

¹ Come now, you rich, lament, howling for your wretchedness which is coming on you! "

⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts."

⁸ Just as I have seen, those who plow lawlessness And those who sow misery are harvesting it.

³ For the scepter of the wicked shall not settle over the lot of the righteous, So that the righteous may not put forth their hands into iniquity."

³ In the mouth of the foolish man is a switch for his pride, Yet the lips of the wise shall guard them."

⁴ For the yoke will withdraw from him, and the slider bar of his shoulder. Yahweh cracks the club of the exactor among them, as in the day of Midian;"

⁵ Woe, Assyria! Club of My anger! And a rod! He, in their hand, is My menace!"

²⁹ You must not rejoice, Philistia, any of you, that the club of your smiter is broken, for from the root of the serpent shall come forth a yellow viper, and its fruit, the burning flying serpent,

³¹ For by the voice of Yahweh, Assyria is dismayed, with a club will He smite them."

⁷ For they are sowing the wind, and they shall reap the sweeping whirlwind. There is no raised grain for him; the sprout shall fail to yield meal; perhaps it shall yield, but then aliens shall swallow it down."

¹³ You plow wickedness; iniquity you reap. You eat the fruit of dissimulation, for you trust in your chariots, in the multitude of your masters."

⁷ Be not decived, God is not to be sneered at, for whatsoever a man may be sowing, this shall he be reaping also, ⁸ for he who is sowing for his own flesh, from the flesh shall be reaping corruption, yet he who is sowing for the spirit, from the spirit shall be reaping life eonian."

⁷ In case there should be among you a needy person, one of your brothers within one of your gates in your land that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you, you shall neither make your heart rigid nor shut your hand from your needy brother. ⁸ Rather you shall open, yea open your hand to him and let him give security, yea security sufficient for his lack that is lacking to him. ⁹ Guard yourself lest there should be in your heart the decadent word, saying:The seventh year is near, the year of the release, so that your eye is evil toward your needy brother, and you give him nothing. Then he may call out to Yahweh concerning you, and it will be held as a sin against you. ¹⁰ You shall give, yea give to him, and your heart shall not feel bad at your giving to him. For owing to this matter Yahweh your Elohim shall bless you in all your work and in every undertaking of your hand. ¹¹ Since the needy shall not leave off from being within the land, therefore I am instructing you, saying:You shall open, yea open your hand to your brother, to your humble and to your needy in your land.

⁵⁶ The tender-hearted woman among you, and the fastidious one, who would not try to put the sole of her foot on the earth because of fastidiousness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom and toward her son and toward her daughter,

¹⁶ If I have withheld the desire of the poor And have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷ And I have eaten my morsel by myself alone, So that the orphan could not eat of i. ¹⁸ (Indeed from my youth he grew great as with a father, And from the belly of my mother I have guided her), ¹⁹ If I have seen anyone perishing from lack of clothing, And there was no covering for the needy, ²⁰ If his loins did not bless me, Since he was warmed with the fleece of my lambs,

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Happy is he who is acting intelligently toward the poor and needy; In a day of peril, Yahweh shall provide his escape." ² Yahweh, He shall guard him and preserve his life; He shall make him happy in the land, And He shall certainly not give him over to the soul's desires of his enemies." ³ Yahweh, He shall brace him on the cot of sickness. You turn all his bedding in his illness."

⁹ He disperses; he gives to the needy; His righteousness is standing into the future; His horn shall be exalted in glory.

²⁵ The soul who gives a blessing is conferred with richness, And he who waters, he himself shall be watered also."

¹⁷ He who is gracious to a poor man obligates Yahweh, And He shall pay his requital to him."

¹³ Whoever closes up his ear to the outcry of the poor--When he himself also calls out, he shall not be answered."

¹ Send forth your bread on the surface of the water, For after many days you shall find it." ² Give a portion to seven, yea even to eight, For you do not know what evil may come upon the earth."

⁸ Yet the patron counsels willingness, and he, in the willingness, is confirmed."

⁷ Is it not to share your bread with the famishing, and the humble, brought down, shall you bring home? In case you are seeing the naked, then you cover him with a cloak? And from your own flesh you are not obscuring yourself? ⁸ Then your light shall be rent as the dawn, and your longevity with haste shall sprout. And there goes before you your righteousness. And the glory of Yahweh shall gather about you." ⁹ Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer, you will implore, and He will say, "Behold Me!You should take away from your midst the slider bar, and the pointing of the finger and speaking lawlessness, ¹⁰ and promote for the famishing the bread for your soul, and the humbled soul shall you satisfy. Then radiant will be your light in the darkness, and your gloom as the noon." ¹¹ And you are guided by Yahweh continually, and He satisfies, on a garish day, your soul. And your bones will He liberate. And you become as a soaked garden, and as a vent of water whose waters are not defaulting." ¹² And built by you shall be places deserted for the eon. The foundations of generation after generation shall you raise. And you shall be called, "Diker of the breach, restorer of tracks you ceased to use."

¹⁵ Is it not allowed me to do what I want with that which is mine? Or is your eye wicked, seeing that I am good?'"

³⁴ Then shall the King be declaring to those at His right, 'Hither, blessed of My Father! Enjoy the allotment of the kingdom made ready for you from the disruption of the world." ³⁵ For I hunger and you give Me to eat' I thirst and you give Me drink; a stranger was I and you took Me in; ³⁶ naked and you clothed Me; infirm am I and you visit Me; in jail was I and you come to Me.' ³⁷ Then the just will be answering Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we perceive Thee hungering and nourish Thee, or thirsting and we give Thee drink? ³⁸ Now when did we perceive Thee a stranger and took Thee in, or naked and we clothed Thee? ³⁹ Now when did we perceive Thee infirm, or in jail, and we came to Thee?'" ⁴⁰ And, answering, the King shall be declaring to them, 'Verily, I am saying to you, In as much as you do it to one of these, the least of My brethren, you do it to Me.'"

²² adulteries, greed, wickedness, guile, wantonness, a wicked eye, calumny, pride, imprudence."

³⁵ Moreover, be loving your enemies, and be doing good, and be lending, expecting nothing from them, and your wages will be vast in the heavens, and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked." ³⁶ Become, then, pitiful, according as your Father also is pitiful." ³⁷ And be not judging, and under no circumstances may you be judged; and be not convicting, and under no circumstances may you be convicted; be releasing, and you shall be released;" ³⁸ be giving, and it shall be given to you: a measure ideal, squeezed down and shaken together and running over, shall they be giving into your bosom. For the same measure with which you are measuring will be measured to you again."

¹³ But, whenever you may be making a reception, invite the poor, the cripples, the lame, the blind,

³⁵ All I intimate to you, that, thus toiling, you must be supporting the infirm. Besides, remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'Happy is it to give rather than to get.'"

¹ Now we are making known to you, brethren, the grace of God which has been bestowed in the ecclesias of Macedonia, ² for, in a test of much affliction, the superabundance of their joy and the corresponding depth of their poverty superabounds to the riches of their generosity,

⁶ yet as this: who is sowing sparingly, sparingly shall be reaping also, and who is sowing bountifully, bountifully shall be reaping also, ⁷ each according as he has proposed in his heart, not sorrowfully, nor of compulsion, for the gleeful giver is loved by God." ⁸ Now God is able to lavish all grace on you, that, having all contentment in everything always, you may be superabounding in every good work, ⁹ according as it is written, He scatters, He gives to the drudges, His righteousness remains for the eon." ¹⁰ Now may He Who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, be furnishing and multiplying your seed and be making the product of your righteousness grow, ¹¹ being enriched in everything, for all the generosity, which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,

¹⁸ to be doing good acts, to be rich in ideal acts, to be liberal contributors, ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves an ideal foundation for that which is impending, that they may get hold of life really."

¹⁰ For God is not unjust, to be forgetting your work and the love which you display for His name when you serve the saints, and are serving."

¹⁶ Now of well doing and contributing be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

⁹ Be hospitable to one another without murmuring.

⁹ And seeing is Sarah the son of Hagar, the Egyptian, whom she bore for Abraham, making fun of Isaac her son. ¹⁰ And saying is she to Abraham, "Drive out this maidservant an her son, for not shall he enjoy the tenancy--the son of this maidservant--with my son, with Isaac!"

¹ And it comes to pass, when Sanballat has heard that we are building the wall, that it is displeasing to him, and he is very angry and mocks at the Jews, ² and said before his brethren and the force of Samaria, yea, he said, `What [are] the weak Jews doing? are they left to themselves? do they sacrifice? do they complete in a day? do they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish? --and they burnt!. <sup>3</sup> And Tobiah the Ammonite [is] by him and said, `Also, that which they are building--if a fox does go up, then it has broken down their stone wall..

²⁸ And [one] of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest, [is] son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite, and I cause him to flee from off me.

⁵ The one slandering his associate in secret, I shall efface him. The haughty of eyes and inflated of heart, I shall not endure him."

⁶ The lips of a stupid man bring him into contention, And his mouth calls for beatings."

²⁴ The arrogant and ostentatious man-mocker is his name, The one who acts with raging arrogance."

²⁰ When the wood reaches its limit, a fire is quenched, And when there is no babbler, a quarrel calms down." ²¹ Coal for embers and wood for fire, And a quarrelsome man to heat a contention."

¹⁷ Now, if ever he should be disobeying them, tell it to the ecclesia. Now, if ever he should be disobeying the ecclesia also, let him be to you even as the man of the nations, and the tribute collector."

⁵ to give up such a one to Satan for the extermination of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." ⁶ Not ideal is your boast. Are you not aware that a little leaven is leavening the whole kneading?

¹³ Now those outside, God is judging. Expel the wicked one from among yourselves."

³⁹ And saying is Pharaoh to Joseph, "After the Elohim has made known to you all this, there is no one as understanding and wise as you. ⁴⁰ You shall be over my household, and at your bidding all my people shall bear weapons. But on the throne will I be greater than you. ⁴¹ And saying is Pharaoh to Joseph, "See! Given you have I today to be over all the land of Egypt. ⁴² And taking off from his hand his ring is Pharaoh, and is putting it on the hand of Joseph. And clothing him is he in garments of cambric sheen, and is placing a knitted collar of gold on his neck, ⁴³ and is having him ride in the second chariot which he has. And calling are they before him, "Kneel!"And he gives him to be over all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁴ And saying is Pharaoh to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh, and apart from you shall no man raise his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁵ And calling is Pharaoh Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah. And giving him is he Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, for a wife. And forth is Joseph faring over the land of Egypt. ⁴⁶ And Joseph is thirty years old when he stands before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And forth is Joseph faring from the face of Pharaoh, and passing through all the land of Egypt. ⁴⁷ And yielding is the land in the seven years of satisfaction, by fistfuls. ⁴⁸ And getting together is he all the food of the seven years of satisfaction which come to be in the land of Egypt. And bestowing is he the food in the cities. The food of the field of the city which surrounds it, he bestows in its midst. ⁴⁹ And heaping up is Joseph cereals as the sand of the sea, multiplied exceedingly furthermore, so that he leaves off numbering, for there is no numbering it. ⁵⁰ And to Joseph are born two sons, ere the seven famine years are coming, whom Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bears for him. ⁵¹ And calling is Joseph the name of the firstborn Manasseh, for "the Elohim makes me oblivious of all my toil and all my father's household. ⁵² And the name of the second he calls Ephraim, for "the Elohim makes me fruitful in the land of my humiliation. ⁵³ And concluding are the seven years of satisfaction, which come to be in the land of Egypt, ⁵⁴ and starting to come are the seven years of famine, as Joseph had said. And coming is the famine in all the lands, yet in all the land of Egypt there comes to be bread. ⁵⁵ When famishing is all the land of Egypt, then crying are the people to Pharaoh for bread. And saying is Pharaoh to all Egypt, "Go to Joseph, and what he will say to you, be doing. ⁵⁶ And the famine comes to be on the surface of all the earth. And opening is Joseph all the cereal stores which are among them, and is retailing to all Egypt. And the famine is holding fast in the land of Egypt. ⁵⁷ And all lands come to Egypt to Joseph to purchase, for fast is the famine holding in all the earth.

⁶ that Ezra himself came up from Babylon. He was a scribe expert in the law of Moses that Yahweh Elohim of Israel had given. And the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of Yahweh his Elohim on him. ⁷ Some of the sons of Israel and some of the priests, the Levites and the singers, the gatekeepers and the Nethinim also came up to Jerusalem in the seventh year of king Artaxerxes. ⁸ They came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, that is, in the seventh year of the king. ⁹ For on day one of the first month this Ezra had deliberately determined the departure from Babylon; and on day one of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his Elohim on him. ¹⁰ For Ezra himself had prepared his heart to inquire of the law of Yahweh and to observe it and to teach in Israel statute and right judgment. ¹¹ Now this is a transcript of the dispatch that king Artaxerxes gave Ezra the priest and scribe, a scholar in matters concerning the instructions of Yahweh and His statutes for Israel.

⁴ And the king said to me, `For what are you seeking?' and I pray unto the Elohim of the heavens, <sup>5</sup> and say to the king, `If to the king [it be] good, and if your servant be pleasing before you, that you send me unto Judah, unto the city of the graves of my fathers, and I built it.. ⁶ And the king said to me (and the queen is sitting near him), `How long is your journey? and when do you return?' and it is good before the king, and he sends me away, and I set to him a time.

³ For Mordecai the Jew was second to king Xerxes and towering among the Jews and held dear by many of his brothers; he sought after the good for his people and spoke up for the welfare of all his seed.

² You are lovely beyond the sons of humanity; Grace is poured out onto Your lips; Therefore Elohim has blessed You for the eon.

⁶ My eyes are with the faithful of the land, to dwell with me; He who is going in a flawless way, he shall minister for me."

³⁵ A king's benevolence is for an intelligent servant, Yet his rage is bestowed on the one causing shame."

¹³ Lips of righteousness win the benevolence of a grand king, And he loves the one who speaks upright words."

⁴⁶ Then king Nebuchadnezzar falls on his face and worships Daniel, and he says an approach present and incense of attainment are to be libated to him." ⁴⁷ Answering is the king to Daniel and saying, "In verity, your Eloah, He is the Eloah of elohim, Lord of kings, and only Revealer of hidden secrets, seeing that you can reveal this secret." ⁴⁸ Then the king made much of Daniel:he grants to him immense, huge gifts; and gives him authority over all the province of Babylon; and makes him grandee of the prefects who are over all the wise men of Babylon." ⁴⁹ Then Daniel petitions the king, and he assigns Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego over the administration of the province of Babylon. Thus Daniel is in the gateway of the king."

³⁰ Then the king prospers Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego in the province of Babylon. And he promotes them and deems them worthy to govern all the Jews who are in his kingdom."

²⁰ In a fluster he departs to the vault of the lions, and, as he is near the vault, he cries out to Daniel in a staunch voice. Calling is the king to Daniel and saying, "Daniel, servant of the living Eloah, your Eloah Whom you are serving in abidance, He could deliver you from the mouths of the lions? ²¹ Then Daniel declares to the king, "O king, live for the eons!" ²² My Eloah sent His messenger, and he closed the mouths of the lions that they could not harm me; forasmuch as before Him it is found that I am purged; and indeed, also before you, O king, no harm have I done." ²³ Then the king feels enormously relieved, and as to Daniel he says to hoist him from the vault. When Daniel is hoisted from the vault, no harm at all is found in him, seeing that he believes in his Eloah."

⁸ "Happy are the clean in heart, for they shall see God.

²² And all testified of Him and marveled at the gracious words which are issuing out of His mouth. And they said, "Is not this Joseph's son?

⁹ for Yahweh--His eyes go to and fro in all the earth, to show Himself strong [for] a people whose heart [is] perfect towards Him; you have been foolish concerning this, because--henceforth there are with you wars..

¹² He is annulling the devisings of the crafty, So that their hands may not achieve prosperity, ¹³ Seizing the wise in their craftiness, So that their cunning counsel is carried headlong.

¹⁹ And they from the west shall fear the name of Yahweh, and those from the rising of the sun, His glorious name. For the foe shall come as a stream. The spirit of Yahweh makes him flee." ²⁰ And there comes to Zion the Redeemer, and "He shall turn back transgression from Jacob,averring is Yahweh." ²¹ And I--this is My covenant with them,says Yahweh. "My spirit, which is on you, and My word, which I place in your mouth, shall not remove from your mouth, or from the mouth of your seed, or from the mouth of your seed's seed,says Yahweh, "Henceforth and till the eon."

¹⁶ Now answering, Simon Peter said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." ¹⁷ Now, answering, Jesus said to him, "Happy are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood does not reveal it to you, but My Father Who is in the heavens." ¹⁸ Now I, also, am saying to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will I be building My ecclesia, and the gates of the unseen shall not be prevailing against it."

³⁹ yet if it is of God, you will not be able to demolish them - lest at some time you may be found fighters against God also."

⁹ Yet, before this, a certain man named Simon existed in the city by using magic and amazing the nation of Samaria, saying himself to be some great one, ¹⁰ whom they all heeded, from the small to the great, saying, "This man is the power of the god which is called Great." ¹¹ Now they heeded him because of the considerable time the magic had to amaze them. ¹² Yet when they believe Philip bringing the evangel concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women."

²³ Now instantly a messenger of the Lord smites him, because he gives not the glory to God, and, becoming the food of worms, he gives up his soul." ²⁴ Yet the word of God grows and was multiplied.

⁸ Now Elymas, the "Magician(for thus is his name construed), withstood them, seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith." ⁹ Now Saul, who is also Paul, being filled with holy spirit, looking intently at him, ¹⁰ said, "O, full of all guile and all knavery, son of the Adversary, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? ¹¹ And now, lo! the hand of the Lord is on you, and you shall be blind, not observing the sun until the appointed time.Now instantly there falls on him a fog and darkness, and, going about, he sought someone to lead him by the hand." ¹² Then the proconsul, perceiving what has occurred, believes, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord."

⁸ then will be unveiled the lawless one (whom the Lord Jesus will despatch with the spirit of His mouth and will discard by the advent of His presence),

⁸ Now, by the method by which Jannes and Jambres withstand Moses, thus these also are withstanding the truth, men of a depraved mind, disqualified as to the faith." ⁹ But they shall not be progressing more, for their folly shall be obvious to all, as that of those also became."

³ And I will be endowing My two witnesses and they will be prophesying a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." ⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the earth." ⁵ And if anyone is wanting to injure them, fire is issuing out of their mouth and is devouring their enemies. And if anyone should be wanting to injure them, thus must he be killed." ⁶ These have authority to lock heaven, that there may be no shower of rain for the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters to be turning them into blood, and to smite the land with every calamity, as often as they will." ⁷ And whenever they should be finishing their testimony, the wild beast which is ascending out of the submerged chaos will be doing battle with them and will be conquering them and killing them." ⁸ And their corpses will be at the square of the great city which, spiritually, is being called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord, also, was crucified." ⁹ And those out of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations are observing their corpses three days and a half, and they are not letting their corpses be placed into a tomb." ¹⁰ And those dwelling on the earth are rejoicing over them and are making merry, and will be sending approach presents to one another, seeing that these two prophets torment those dwelling on the earth." ¹¹ And after the three days and a half the spirit of life out of God entered into them, and they stand on their feet. And great fear falls on those beholding them."

¹⁴ And given to the woman were the two wings of a large vulture, that she may be flying into the wilderness into her place, there where she is nourished a season, and seasons, and half a season, from the face of the serpent." ¹⁵ And the serpent casts water as a river out of its mouth after the woman, that she should be carried away by its current." ¹⁶ And the earth helps the woman, and the earth opens its mouth and swallowed the river which the dragon casts out of its mouth." ¹⁷ And the dragon is angry with the woman, and came away to do battle with the rest of her seed, who are keeping the precepts of God and who have the testimony of Jesus."

³² Thus they brought forth among the sons of Israel disparaging muttering about the land which they had explored, saying:The land through which we passed to explore it, it is a land that is devouring its dwellers; it and all the people whom we saw in its midst were men of great measure. ³³ There we saw the distinguished (the sons of Anak are part of the distinguished ones). And we became, in our own eyes, like grasshoppers; so we became in their eyes.

¹³ The slothful man says, There is a black lion in the road, A lion in the square!" ¹⁴ The door turns about on its hinges, And the slothful one on his couch." ¹⁵ The slothful man buries his hand into the dinner-bowl; He is too tired to bring it back to his mouth. ¹⁶ The slothful man is wiser in his own eyes Than seven men who reply with discretion.

¹⁹ Yahweh saw and spurned them because of the vexation caused by His sons and His daughters.

²⁰ and she said, `Philistines [are] upon you, Samson;' and he awakes out of his sleep, and said, `I go out as time by time, and shake myself;' and he has not known that Yahweh has turned aside from off him. ²¹ And the Philistines seize him, and pick out his eyes, and bring him down to Gaza, and bind him with two brazen fetters; and he is grinding in the prison-house.

²⁶ `By these did not Solomon king of Israel sin? and among the many nations there was no king like him, and beloved by his Elohim he was, and Elohim makes him king over all Israel--even him did the strange women cause to sin.

¹² So I let them go in the obduracy of their own heart; They went in their own counsels.

¹⁶ This will also rescue you from the strange woman, Or from the foreign woman who makes her words slick, ¹⁷ Who forsakes the mentor of her youth, And who forgets the covenant of her Elohim." ¹⁸ For she slips down to death with her house And her routes to the Rephaim; ¹⁹ All who enter it shall not return, Nor shall they overtake the paths of life."

³ For the lips of a strange woman drop as the honeycomb, And the words of her palate are slicker than oil." ⁴ Yet the aftereffect from her is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword." ⁵ Her feet are descending to death; To the unseen her steps hold firm. ⁶ Lest you should ponder the path of life, Her routes rove about, yet you know not where." ⁷ So now, my sons, hearken to me, And do not withdraw from the sayings of my mouth." ⁸ Keep your way far from her; Do not go near to the portal of her house, ⁹ Lest you should give your splendor to others And your years to the cruel one, ¹⁰ Lest aliens should surfeit themselves on your vigor And on your grievous labors in the house of a foreigner, ¹¹ And you have anguish in your latter days When your flesh and your brawn are exhausted, ¹² And you say, How I have hated discipline, And my heart has spurned correction!" ¹³ I have not hearkened to the voice of those directing my instruction, And to those teaching me I have not stretched out my ear;" ¹⁴ Soon I came to be in entire peril In the midst of the assembly and the congregation. ¹⁵ Drink water from your own cistern, And the flowings from the midst of your own well;" ¹⁶ Should your springs scatter forth in the streets, Your rillets of water in the public squares? ¹⁷ Let them be yours, for you alone, And not for aliens along with you." ¹⁸ May your fountain become blessed; Rejoice in the wife of your youth, ¹⁹ A loving hind and a graceful ibex; May her affections satisfy you in every season; May you be intoxicated by her love continually. ²⁰ Why should you be intoxicated, my son, by a strange woman And embrace the bosom of a foreigner? ²¹ For the ways of a man are before the eyes of Yahweh, Who ponders all his routes." ²² Concerning the wicked man, his depravities, they shall seize him, And by the cables of his sin shall he be held firm." ²³ He himself shall die in his lack of discipline, And in his great folly he shall expire."

²⁴ To keep you from the evil woman, From the slick tongue of the foreign woman." ²⁵ Do not covet after her loveliness in your heart, And do not let her captivate you with her eyelids." ²⁶ For a woman of prostitution hunts for a cake of bread, Yet the adulterous wife of a man hunts the precious soul." ²⁷ Can a man bank a fire in his bosom And his garments not be burned? ²⁸ Or can a man walk on embers And his feet not be scorched? ²⁹ So is he who comes to the wife of his associate; Anyone who touches her shall not be held innocent.

⁵ In order to keep you from the strange woman, From the foreign woman who makes her sayings slick." ⁶ For at the window of my house I gazed out through my latticed oriel, ⁷ And I saw among the simple, I detected among the sons, A youth who had lack of heart wisdom." ⁸ He was passing along the road beside her corner, And he stepped the way to her house, ⁹ In the gloaming at the evening of the day, In the tranquil night and the gloom;" ¹⁰ And behold, a woman came out to meet him In the burnoose of a prostitute and constricted of heart." ¹¹ She is clamorous and stubborn; Her feet never tabernacle at her home; ¹² At times in the street, at times in the squares, And beside every corner she waits in ambush." ¹³ She held him fast and kissed him; She set her face with impudence and said to him: ¹⁴ The sacrifices of peace offerings were due from me; Today I paid my vows. ¹⁵ Therefore, I came forth to meet you, To seek your face early, and I have found you." ¹⁶ I have decorated my divan with decorative covers, With bedspreads of Egyptian yarn." ¹⁷ I have wafted my bed with myrrh, Aloes and cinnamon." ¹⁸ Do come, let us satiate ourselves with affection until the morning; Let us make ourselves joyous with love expressions." ¹⁹ For the husband is not in his home; He has gone on his way afar. ²⁰ He took a pouch of silver in his hand, And he shall come back to his home only with the day of full moon." ²¹ She turned him aside with her great influence; With slick words on her lips she induced him. ²² Suddenly he was going after her, Like a bull that comes to the slaughter, Like a calf to the bonds of foolish creatures, ²³ Until an arrow thrusts through his liver, As through a bird that hastened to the snare When it did not know that it was set for its soul." ²⁴ Now then, my sons, hearken to me, And attend to the sayings of my mouth." ²⁵ Do not let your heart swerve to her ways; Do not stray into her tracks. ²⁶ For many are the mortally wounded she has cast down, And plentiful are all those killed by her." ²⁷ Her house is a road to the unseen, One descending to the chambers of death."

²⁷ For the prostitute is a deep pit, And the foreign woman is a narrow well."

²⁶ I found more bitter than death:That kind of woman whose heart is like weir traps and seine nets, And her hands like bonds; The man doing well before the One, Elohim, he shall escape from her, And the sinner, he shall be seized by her."

⁴ Who can bring what is clean from the unclean? No one.

⁵ Behold, I was with depravity when I was travailed in birth, And in sin when my mother conceived me."

²⁴ He who keeps back his club hates his son, Yet he who loves him is early to discipline him."

¹⁸ Discipline your son while there is expectation, And let not your soul indulge in letting him die."

¹³ Do not withhold discipline from the youth, For should you smite him with the club he shall not die." ¹⁴ You shall smite him with the club And so rescue his soul from the unseen.

¹⁵ The club of correction gives wisdom, Yet a youth left alone puts his mother to shame."

¹⁷ Discipline your son, and he shall give you rest And give contentment to your soul."

⁶ That which is begotten by the flesh is flesh, and that which is begotten by the spirit is spirit."

³ (among whom we also all behaved ourselves once in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the comprehension, and were, in our nature, children of indignation, even as the rest),

¹⁰ For these, indeed, disciplined for a few days as it seemed best to them, yet that One for our expedience, for us to be partaking of His holiness." ¹¹ Now all discipline, indeed, for the present is not seeming to be a thing of joy, but of sorrow, yet subsequently it is rendering the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those exercised through it."

¹⁹ For he has maltreated, he has forsaken the poor; He has pillaged a house which he did not build. ²⁰ For he has not known ease from the craving of his belly; From his coveting, he has not tried to escape. ²¹ There was nothing surviving for him as food. Therefore his good state cannot hope to last. ²² When his affluence is full there shall be distress for him; Every means of misery shall come upon him. ²³ It shall come to be, in order to fill his belly, That He shall send against him the heat of His anger And shall rain it upon him as his nourishment. ²⁴ He shall have to run away from a weapon of iron; An arrow of a copper bow shall pass through him. ²⁵ It will be pulled out and be brought forth from his body, And a flashing blade from his bile; Dread shall come over him. ²⁶ Total darkness lies buried for his secluded riches; A fire that was not blown shall devour him; It shall imperil anything surviving in his tent. ²⁷ The heavens shall expose his depravity, And the earth will rise against him. ²⁸ The deluge shall deport his house, Spilling over in the day of His anger. ²⁹ This is the portion from Elohim for the wicked person, And the allotment assigned him by El.

⁵ Because of the devastation of the humbled, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now I shall arise, says Yahweh; I shall set him in safety; I shall shine forth for him.

²² Do not pillage the poor, for he is poor, And do not crush the humble one in the gate." ²³ For Yahweh Himself shall contend their contention, And He will defraud their defrauders of their soul."

³ A wicked master, who extorts from the poor, Is a flattening rain that makes no nourishment."

²² A man who is stingy of eye is rash to get wealth, Yet he does not know that want shall come to him."

² And they covet fields and snatch them, and houses, and bear them away, and they extort the master and his house, the man and his allotment." ³ Wherefore, thus says Yahweh:Behold Me devising an evil against this family, whence you shall not remove your necks. Nor shall you walk haughtily, for it shall be an era of evil."

⁹ Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying:Judge with true judgment, and with kindness and compassion deal each man with his brother, ¹⁰ and you must not extort from a widow or orphan or the sojourner or the humble. And you must not devise evil, each man to his brother, in your heart." ¹¹ Yet they are refusing to attend, and they are giving a stubborn shoulder, and their ears they make heavy against hearing, ¹² and their hearts they make corundum against hearing the law and the words which Yahweh of hosts sent by His spirit, by the hand of the former prophets. And great wrath is coming from Yahweh of hosts." ¹³ And it is coming, just as he calls and they did not hear, so are they calling, and I am not hearing, says Yahweh of hosts." ¹⁴ And I am tossing them with a tempest over all the nations who do not know them. And the land is desolate after them, free from anyone passing or returning, for they have made the coveted land a desolation."

³³ And if you should be doing good to those doing good to you, what thanks is it to you? For sinners also are doing the same." ³⁴ And if you should ever be lending to those from whom you are expecting to get back, what thanks is it to you? For sinners also are lending to sinners, that they may get back the equivalent." ³⁵ Moreover, be loving your enemies, and be doing good, and be lending, expecting nothing from them, and your wages will be vast in the heavens, and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked."

¹² Now He said to him also who has invited Him, "Whenever you may be making a luncheon or a dinner, do not be summoning your friends, nor yet your brothers, nor yet your relatives, nor yet rich neighbors, lest at some time they also should be inviting you in return, and repayment may come to you." ¹³ But, whenever you may be making a reception, invite the poor, the cripples, the lame, the blind, ¹⁴ and happy will you be, for they have nothing to repay you, for it will be repaid you in the resurrection of the just."

²⁴ And he shouting, said, 'Father Abraham, be merciful to me, and send Lazarus that he should be dipping the tip of his finger in water and cooling my tongue, for I am pained in this flame.'"

¹³ For the judging is merciless to him who does not exercise mercy. Vaunting is mercy against judging.

¹ Come now, you rich, lament, howling for your wretchedness which is coming on you! " ² Your riches have rotted and your garments have become food for moths. ³ Your gold and silver corrode and their venom will be for a testimony against you, and the venom will be eating your flesh as fire. You hoard in the last days." ⁴ Lo! the wage of the workers, who mow your country places, which has been withheld by you, is crying, and the imploring of the reapers has entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts." ⁵ You luxuriate on the earth, and squander. You nourish your hearts as in a day of slaughter."

¹² So make us know how to assign our days, That we may come to a heart of wisdom."

³ To procure the discipline to act intelligently In justice and judgment and equities,

² Attending with your ear to wisdom, And you stretch out your heart to comprehension, ³ Indeed if you call out for understanding, And you lift up your voice for comprehension, ⁴ If you seek it as for silver And search for it as for buried treasures, ⁵ Then you shall understand the fear of Yahweh, And you shall find the knowledge of God."

¹ My son, do not forget my law, And let your heart preserve my instructions;"

⁴ He directed me and said to me:May your heart uphold my word; Keep my instruction and live; ⁵ Acquire wisdom; acquire understanding; Do not forget, and do not turn aside from the sayings of my mouth;" ⁶ Do not forsake her, and she shall guard you; Love her, and she shall preserve you." ⁷ The principal thing is wisdom; acquire wisdom, And with all your acquisition, acquire understanding;" ⁸ Highly regard her, and she shall raise you up; She shall bring you glory as you embrace her;"

¹ My son, do attend to my wisdom; To my comprehension, stretch out your ear, ² In order to guard foresight, That your lips may preserve knowledge."

³³ Hearken to my admonition, and be wise; Do not renounce it." ³⁴ Happy is the man who hearkens to me, Being alert at my doors day by day, Keeping watch at the jambs of my portals."

¹² Do bring your heart to admonition And your ear to the sayings of knowledge.

²⁵ I turned about that my heart may know and explore, That it may seek out wisdom and design And may know the wickedness of stupidity and the frivolity in raving."

⁹ All this I have seen and have applied my heart to all work that is done under the sun, At a time when a man has authority over another man to do evil to him;"

¹⁶ When I applied my heart to know wisdom, And to see the experience that is appointed on earth (For both by day and night, there is no seeing of sleep for Him with His eyes),

³ Stretch out your ear and go to Me; hear Me, and your soul shall live in good. And I will contract with you a covenant eonian, the kindnesses of David that are faithful."

⁵ While he is still speaking, lo! a luminous cloud overshadows them, and lo! a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in Whom I delight. Hear Him!"

¹⁸ For I am full of declarations; The spirit of my belly constrains me. ¹⁹ Behold, my belly is like wine that is not opened, Like new wineskins, it is ready to split.

¹⁰ Coveted more than gold, and more than much glittering gold, And sweeter than honey and drips of the combs."

¹³ With my lips I recount All the ordinances from Your mouth.

⁷ For the lips of a priest shall keep knowledge, and the law shall they seek from his mouth, for the messenger of Yahweh of hosts is he."

³⁸ He who is believing in Me, according as the scripture said, out of his bowel shall gush rivers of living water."

¹⁵ Through Him, then, we may be offering up the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips avowing His name."

⁵ Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And do not lean to your own understanding."

² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation."

⁴ Trust in Yahweh for the futures of the future. For in Yah, Yahweh is a Rock for the eons."

⁷ Blessed [is] the man who trusts in Yahweh, And whose confidence has been Yahweh."

²¹ Who rouses Him from among the dead and is giving Him glory, so that your faith and expectation is to be in God."

⁶ The words of Yahweh are clean words, Silver refined in a kiln, Fine gold cupelled seven times.

¹² I am writing to him many things of My law; they are reckoned as though alien,

¹⁵ and that from a babe you are acquainted with the sacred scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All scripture is inspired by God, and is beneficial for teaching, for exposure, for correction, for discipline in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be equipped, fitted out for every good act."

⁶ You shall not turn aside the judgment of your needy in his contention.

¹⁰ Do not move away the boundary marker of the widow, And into the fields of the orphans do not enter, ¹¹ For their Redeemer is steadfast; He Himself shall contend their contention against you.

²⁹ The people of the land have used oppression, And have taken plunder violently away, And humble and needy have oppressed, And the sojourner oppressed--without judgment."

¹⁰ and you must not extort from a widow or orphan or the sojourner or the humble. And you must not devise evil, each man to his brother, in your heart."

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

¹² `Yahweh does judge between me and you, and Yahweh has avenged me of you, and my hand is not on you;"

¹⁵ And Yahweh has been for judge, and has judged between me and you, yea, he sees and pleads my cause, and does deliver me out of your hand..

⁵ The Father of orphans and Adjudicator of widows, Elohim in His holy habitation."

¹² I know that Yahweh shall execute adjudication for the humbled, Right judgment for the needy."

¹¹ For their Redeemer is steadfast; He Himself shall contend their contention against you.

¹ Woe, you devastator, and you were not devastated! And you treacherous one, and they were not treacherous against you! As you come to an end with devastation, you shall be devastated. As you finish with treachery, they will be treacherous against you."

³⁴ Their Redeemer [is] strong, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name, He does thoroughly plead their cause, So as to cause the land to rest, And He has given trouble to the inhabitants of Babylon."

³⁶ Therefore, thus said Yahweh:Lo, I am pleading your cause, And I have avenged your vengeance, And dried up its sea, and made its fountains dry."

⁹ The turbulence of Yahweh I will bear, for I have sinned against Him, till He is contending my contention, and shall execute my judgment. He will bring me forth to the light; I shall see by His righteousness."

⁸ Seeing that you loot many nations, all the rest of the peoples will loot you because of human blood and the violence to the land, to the town and all dwelling in it."

²² An angry man stirs up a quarrel, And a furious person works much transgression."

¹⁴ Do not become diversely yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? Or what communion has light with darkness? ¹⁵ Now what agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what part a believer with an unbeliever? ¹⁶ Now what concurrence has a temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, according as God said, that I will be making My home and will be walking in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." ¹⁷ Wherefore, Come out of their midst and be severed, the Lord is saying. And touch not the unclean, and I will admit you,

³⁵ They mixed with the nations, And they learned their customs."

²⁰ He who walks with the wise becomes wise, Yet he who associates with the stupid is imperiled."

³³ Be not deceived: evil conversations are corrupting kind characters.

¹ My son, if you have become surety for your associate, And you have clasped your palms with a stranger, ² If you have been trapped by words of your mouth, Have been seized by sayings of your mouth, ³ Do this, indeed, my son and rescue yourself Since you have come into the palm of your associate:Go, bestir yourself and beset your associate;" ⁴ Do not grant sleep to your eyes Or slumber to your eyelids; ⁵ Rescue yourself like a gazelle from the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the trapper."

¹⁵ He shall be imperiled with evil when one is surety for an alien, Yet he who hates clasping a pledger's hand dwells in trust."

¹⁸ A man who lacks heart understanding will clasp his palm in pledge, Becoming hostage as surety in the presence of his associate."

¹³ Take his cloak, for he has become surety for an alien, And since it is in behalf of a foreign woman, hold it in pledge."

²⁶ If you take in pledge, yea in pledge the raiment of your associate, previous to sunset you shall restore it to him, ²⁷ for it is his only covering. It is his garment for his skin: wherein shall he lie? When it comes to be that he is crying to Me, then I will hear, for I am gracious.
