¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ My El! My El! Why have You forsaken me? Far from my salvation are these words of my roaring.

²² for Yahweh does not leave His people, on account of His great name; for Yahweh has been pleased to make you to Him for a people.

²⁴ For like my bread comes my sighing, And my roarings pour forth like water.

¹ Why are You standing far off, O Yahweh? Why are You obscuring Yourself in seasons of distress?

¹¹ O do not be far from me, For distress is near, Because there is no one helping."

¹⁶ For curs have surrounded me; The crowd of evildoers has encompassed me; They dig into my hands and my feet.

⁹ Do not gather up my soul with sinners Or my life with bloodthirsty men,

¹⁴ Yet I, I trusted in You, O Yahweh; I said, My Elohim are You;" ¹⁵ In Your hand are my seasons; Rescue me from the hand of my enemies And from those pursuing me. ¹⁶ Do let Your face light up over Your servant; Save me in Your benignity.

³ When I kept silent toward You, my bones became worn out With my roaring the entire day." ⁴ For by day and night, Your hand was heavy upon me; My freshness was turned into the droughts of summer. {Interlude{ "

²⁸ For Yahweh is loving right judgment, And He shall not forsake His benign ones. The iniquitous will be exterminated for the eon, And the seed of the wicked, it will be cut off."

⁸ I give way and am utterly crushed. I roar out of the anguish of my heart.

¹ {SCROLL TWO{ {Contemplating, For the Sons of Korah{ As a deer is panting over the channels of water, So is my soul panting for You, O Elohim!" ² My soul thirsts for Elohim, for the living El; When shall I come and appear before Elohim?

¹ Judge me, O Elohim, and do contend my cause against an unkind nation. From the man of deceit and iniquity, may You deliver me." ² For You are the Elohim of my stronghold; Why have You cast me off? Why must I walk in somberness under the oppression of the enemy? ³ Send Your light and Your truth; Let them guide me; Let them bring me to Your holy mountain And to Your Grand Tabernacle. ⁴ Then let me come to the altar of Elohim, To the El of my exultant rejoicing, And I shall acclaim You with the harp, O Elohim, my Elohim." ⁵ Why are you prostrated, O my soul, And why are you discomfited within me? ¹¹ Saying, Elohim Himself has forsaken him; Pursue and grasp him, for there is no rescuer."

¹³ I bring near My righteousness. And it shall not be far. And My salvation shall not delay. And I bestow, in Zion, salvation for Israel, My beauty."

¹¹ They are clamoring as bears--all of them. And as doves are they cooing, yea cooing. "We are expecting judgment, yet there is none. And salvation is far from us."

⁴⁶ Now about the ninth hour Jesus exclaims with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi! Eloi! Lema sabachthani?that is, "My God! My God! Why didst Thou forsake Me?

⁴⁴ And coming to be in a struggle, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became as if clots of blood descending on the earth."

⁴⁴ Now He said to them, "These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me."

⁷ Who, in the days of His flesh, offering both petitions and supplications with strong clamor and tears to Him Who is able to save Him out of death, being hearkened to also for His piety,

⁵ May fondness for money not be your manner, being sufficed with what is present, for He has declared: Under no circumstances may I be lax regarding you, Neither by any means may I be forsaking you."
