³⁵ By thys shall all men knowe that ye are my discyples, yf ye shall haue loue one to another.

⁷ And there fell a stryfe betwene the herdmen of Abrams cattell, and the herdmen of Lots cattell. Moreouer the Cananites & the Pheresytes dwelled at that tyme in the land. ⁸ Then sayd Abram vnto Lot: Let there be no strife (I pray the) betwene the and me, and betwene my herdmen and thine, for we be brethren.

²¹ that they all maye be one, as thou father art in me, and I in the that they maye be also one in vs, that the worlde maye beleue that thou haste sent me.

³² And the multitude of them that beleued were of one herte, and of one soule. Also none of them said that anye of the thinges whyche he possessed, was his owne: but had all thinges commune. ³³ And with greate power gaue the Apostles wytnes of the resurreccion of the Lorde Iesus. And greate grace was geuen wt them all. ³⁴ Neyther was there anye amonge them that lacked. For as manie as were possessours of landes and houses, sold them and broughte the price of the thinges, that were solde, ³⁵ and layed it doune at the Apostles fete. And distribution was made vnto euery man accordinge as he had nede.

¹² By the handes of the Apostles were manie signes and wounders shewed amonge the people. And they were all together wyth one accorde in Solomons porch. ¹³ And of other durst no man ioyne him selfe to them: neuerthelater the people magnifyed them. ¹⁴ The numbre of them that beleued in the Lorde, both of men and women, grewe more and more:

⁵ Whosoeuer kepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God, perfecte in dede. And there by knowe we that we are in him.

¹⁰ He that loueth his brother, abideth in the lyghte, and there is none occasion of euill in him.

¹⁰ In this are the chyldren of God knowen, and the chyldren of the deuil. Whosoeuer doth not rightuousnes, is not of God, neyther he that loueth not his brother. ¹¹ For this is the tidinges, that ye hearde from the beginninge, that ye should loue one anothere ¹² not as Cayn, which was of the wicked & slewe his brother. And wherfore slewe he him? Because his own workes were euyll, and his brothers good. ¹³ Maruaile not my brethren though the worlde hate you. ¹⁴ We know that we are translated from death vnto lyfe, because we loue the brethren. He that loueth not his brother, abydeth in death.

²⁰ Yf a man saye, I loue God, and yet hate his brother, he is a lyar. For howe can he that loueth not his brother whom he hath sene, loue god, whom he hath not sene? ²¹ And this commaundemente haue we of him that he which loueth God, should loue his brother also.
