²⁸ A false witnes laugheth iudgement to scorn & the mouth of the vngodly eateth vp wickednes.

¹⁰ and set two vnthriftes before him: and let them testifye agaynst hym sayinge: thou dyddest curse bothe God and the king: & vpon that carie him out & stone hym to death.

¹³ and there came in two vnthriftye persones and sate before him. And the two vnthriftye persones wytnesseth agaynst Naboth before the people sayinge: Naboth dyd curse God and the kinge. And vpon the they caryed him out of the cytye and stoned him wyth stones to death.

¹⁶ How much more then an abhominalbe and vyle man, which drincketh wickednesse lyke water?

¹² When wyckednesse is swete in his mouth, he hydeth it vnder his tonge. ¹³ That he fauoureth, that wyll he not forsake, but kepeth it close in his throte.

⁷ where is there such one as Iob, that drincketh vp scornefulnes lyke water?

⁵ Hys wayes are al waye filthye, thy iudgementes are farre out of his sight, he defyeth all his enemyes.

¹¹ For he sayeth in hys herte: Tushe, God hath forgotten, he hath turned awaye hys face, so that he wyll neuer se it.

¹⁴ A wise hert wil seke after knowledge, but the mouth of foles medleth with folishnesse.

¹⁴ Wherfore heare the worde of the Lorde, ye mockers that rule the Lordes people, whiche is at Ierusalem. ¹⁵ For ye comforte youre selues thus: Tushe, death & we are at a poynte, and as for hell, we haue made a condicyon with it, that thoughe there breake out anye sore plage it shall not come vpon vs. For wyth disceyte wyll we escape, and with nymblenes wil we defende oure selues. ¹⁶ Therfore sayth the Lorde God: Beholde, I wyll laye a stone in Syon a great stone, a costly corner stone for a sure foundacyon: that who so putteth hys truste in hym, shall not be confounded. ¹⁷ Ryghtuousnes will I set vp agayne in the balaunce, and iudgement in the weyghtes. The tempeste of haile shall take awaye your refuge, that ye haue to disceyue wythall, & the ouerflowynge waters shall breake doune youre stronge holdes of dyssimulacion: ¹⁸ Thus the appoyntmente that ye haue made with deathe, shalbe done away and the condition that ye made with hell, shal not stande. When the great destruccyon goeth thorowe, it shal all to treade you. It shal take you quyte away before it.

⁸ They eat vp the synnes of my people, and corage them in their wyckednesse.

² saiynge. There was a Iudge in a certayne cytye, whiche feared not God, neyther regarded man. ³ And there was a certaine wedowe in the same citie whiche came vnto hym saiynge: auenge of myne aduersarye. ⁴ And he woulde not for a whyle. But afterwarde he sayde to hym selfe, though I feare not God, nor care for man,

¹¹ Then sent they in men, whiche said: we haue heard him speake blasphemous wordes against Moyses and against God. ¹² And they moued the people and the elders and the scribes: and came vpon him and caught hym, ¹³ and brought him to the counsell and brought forth false witnesses whiche sayde. This man ceaseth not to speake blaspemous wordes against thys holy place, and the lawe,
