³⁹ And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of man be.

¹³ Therefore, I speak to them in parables: because seeing they see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. ¹⁴ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, who says, You shall continue to hear, but not understand; and you shall continue to see, but not perceive: ¹⁵ For this people's heart has become dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

³⁷ But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

⁴⁴ And shall level you to the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave in you one stone upon another; because you did not know the time of your visitation.

²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

⁴¹ Behold, you scoffers, and wonder, and perish: for I am doing a work in your days, a work which you shall by no means believe, though a man declare it to you.

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

⁵ For they willingly ignore this, that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
