Matthew 2:3-11

  2:3   191-1161 ακούσας δε And hearing, * Ηρώδης Herod 3588 ο the 935 βασιλεύς king 5015 εταράχθη was disturbed, 2532 και and 3956 πάσα all * Ιεροσόλυμα Jerusalem 3326 μετ΄ with 1473 αυτού him.   2:4   2532 και And 4863 συναγαγών gathering together 3956 πάντας all 3588 τούς the 749 αρχιερείς chief priests 2532 και and 1122 γραμματείς scribes 3588 του of the 2992 λαού people, 4441 επυνθάνετο he inquired 3844 παρ΄ of 1473 αυτών them 4226 που where 3588 ο the 5547 Χριστός Christ 1080 γεννάται is born.   2:5   3588-1161 οι δε And they 2036 είπον said 1473 αυτώ to him, 1722 εν In * Βηθλεέμ Bethlehem 3588 της   * Ιουδαίας of Judea; 3779-1063 ούτως γαρ for thus 1125 γέγραπται it has been written 1223 διά by 3588 του the 4396 προφήτου prophet,   2:6   2532 και And 1473 συ you, * Βηθλεέμ Bethlehem, 1093 γη land * Ιούδα of Judea, 3760 ουδαμώς [²not at all 1646 ελαχίστη ³least 1510.2.2 ει ¹are] 1722 εν in 3588 τοις the 2232 ηγεμόσιν governs * Ιούδα of Judea. 1537 εκ [²from out of 1473 σου ³you 1063 γαρ ¹For] 1831 εξελεύσεται shall come forth 2233 ηγούμενος one leading, 3748 όστις who 4165 ποιμανεί shall tend 3588 τον   2992-1473 λαόν μου my people 3588 τον   * Ισραήλ Israel.   2:7   5119 τότε Then * Ηρώδης Herod, 2977 λάθρα in private 2564 καλέσας having called 3588 τους the 3097 μάγους magi, 198 ηκρίβωσε exacted 3844 παρ΄ from 1473 αυτών them 3588 τον the 5550 χρόνον time 3588 του of the 5316 φαινομένου [²appearing 792 αστέρος ¹star].   2:8   2532 και And 3992 πέμψας having sent 1473 αυτούς them 1519 εις unto * Βηθλεέμ Bethlehem, 2036 είπε he said, 4198 πορευθέντες Having gone, 199 ακριβώς exactly 1833 εξετάσατε inquire 4012 περί concerning 3588 του the 3813 παιδίου child! 1875-1161 επάν δε And when 2147 εύρητε you should have found, 518 απαγγείλατέ report 1473 μοι to me, 3704 όπως so that 2504 καγώ I also 2064 ελθών having come 4352 προσκυνήσω should do obeisance 1473 αυτώ to him.   2:9   3588-1161 οι δε And they, 191 ακούσαντες having heard 3588 του the 935 βασιλέως king, 4198 επορεύθησαν went. 2532 και And 2400 ιδού behold, 3588 ο the 792 αστήρ star 3739 ον which 1492 είδον they beheld 1722 εν in 3588 τη the 395 ανατολή east 4254 προήγεν led before 1473 αυτούς them, 2193 έως until 2064 ελθών having come 2476 έστη it stood 1883 επάνω above 3739 ου of which place 1510.7.3 ην [³was 3588 το ¹the 3813 παιδίον ²child].   2:10   1492-1161 ιδόντες δε And beholding 3588 τον the 792 αστέρα star, 5463 εχάρησαν they rejoiced 5479 χαράν [²joy 3173 μεγάλην ¹a great], 4970 σφόδρα exceedingly.   2:11   2532 και And 2064 ελθόντες having come 1519 εις unto 3588 την the 3614 οικίαν residence, 1492 είδον they saw 3588 το the 3813 παιδίον child 3326 μετά with * Μαρίας Mary 3588 της   3384-1473 μητρός αυτού his mother. 2532 και And 4098 πεσόντες having fallen, 4352 προσεκύνησαν they did obeisance 1473 αυτώ to him. 2532 και And 455 ανοίξαντες having opened 3588 τους   2344-1473 θησαυρούς αυτών their treasuries, 4374 προσήνεγκαν they offered 1473 αυτώ to him 1435 δώρα gifts -- 5557 χρυσόν gold 2532 και and 3030 λίβανον frankincense 2532 και and 4666 σμύρναν myrrh.
