Jeremiah 24:1-7 The LORD showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

2 H259 One H1731 basket H3966 had very H2896 good H8384 figs, H8384 even like the figs H1073 that are first H259 ripe: and the other H1731 basket H3966 had very H7451 naughty H8384 figs, H834 which H398 could not be eaten, H7451 they were so bad.

3 H559 Then said H3068 the LORD H4100 to me, What H7200 see H3414 you, Jeremiah? H559 And I said, H8384 Figs; H2896 the good H8384 figs, H3966 very H2896 good; H7451 and the evil, H3966 very H7451 evil, H3808 that cannot H398 be eaten, H7455 they are so evil.

4 H1697 Again the word H3068 of the LORD H1961 came H559 to me, saying,

5 H3541 Thus H559 said H3068 the LORD, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H428 Like these H2896 good H8384 figs, H3651 so H5234 will I acknowledge H1546 them that are carried H1546 away captive H3063 of Judah, H834 whom H7971 I have sent H2088 out of this H4725 place H776 into the land H3778 of the Chaldeans H2896 for their good.

6 H7760 For I will set H5869 my eyes H2896 on them for good, H7725 and I will bring H7725 them again H2063 to this H776 land: H1129 and I will build H2040 them, and not pull H5193 them down; and I will plant H5428 them, and not pluck them up.

7 H5414 And I will give H3820 them an heart H3045 to know H3068 me, that I am the LORD: H5971 and they shall be my people, H430 and I will be their God: H7725 for they shall return H3605 to me with their whole H3820 heart.
