Ezekiel 20:1-7 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and sat before me.

1 H7637 And it came to pass in the seventh H8141 year, H2549 in the fifth H6218 month, the tenth H2320 day of the month, H582 that certain H2205 of the elders H3478 of Israel H935 came H1875 to inquire H3068 of Jehovah, H3427 and sat H6440 before me.

2 H1697 And the word H3068 of Jehovah H559 came unto me, saying,

3 H1121 Son H120 of man, H1696 speak H2205 unto the elders H3478 of Israel, H559 and say H559 unto them, Thus saith H136 the Lord H136 Jehovah: H1875 Is it to inquire H935 of me that ye are come? H2416 As I live, H5002 saith H136 the Lord H3069 Jehovah, H1875 I will not be inquired of by you.

4 H8199 Wilt thou judge H1121 them, son H120 of man, H8199 wilt thou judge H3045 them? Cause them to know H8441 the abominations H1 of their fathers;

5 H559 and say H559 unto them, Thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 Jehovah: H3117 In the day H977 when I chose H3478 Israel, H3027 and sware H5375 unto H2233 the seed H1004 of the house H3290 of Jacob, H3045 and made myself known H776 unto them in the land H4714 of Egypt, H3027 when I sware H5375 unto H559 them, saying, H3068 I am Jehovah H430 your God;

6 H3117 in that day H3027 I sware H5375 unto H3318 them, to bring them forth H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H776 into a land H8446 that I had searched H2100 out for them, flowing H2461 with milk H1706 and honey, H6643 which is the glory H776 of all lands.

7 H559 And I said H7993 unto them, Cast ye away H376 every man H8251 the abominations H5869 of his eyes, H2930 and defile H1544 not yourselves with the idols H4714 of Egypt; H3068 I am Jehovah H430 your God.
