1 Samuel 23:2-9 Therefore David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and strike these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.

2 H1732 Therefore David H7592 inquired H3068 of the Lord, H559 saying, H3212 Shall I go H5221 and strike H6430 these Philistines? H3068 And the Lord H559 said H1732 unto David, H3212 Go, H5221 and strike H6430 the Philistines, H3467 and save H7084 Keilah.

3 H1732 And David's H582 men H559 said H3373 unto him, Behold, we be afraid H3063 here in Judah: H3212 how much more then if we come H7084 to Keilah H4634 against the armies H6430 of the Philistines?

4 H1732 Then David H7592 inquired H3068 of the Lord H3254 yet again. H3068 And the Lord H6030 answered H559 him and said, H6965 Arise, H3381 go down H7084 to Keilah; H5414 for I will deliver H6430 the Philistines H3027 into your hand.

5 H1732 So David H582 and his men H3212 went H7084 to Keilah, H3898 and fought H6430 with the Philistines, H5090 and brought away H4735 their cattle, H5221 and struck H1419 them with a great H4347 slaughter. H1732 So David H3467 saved H3427 the inhabitants H7084 of Keilah.

6 H54 And it came to pass, when Abiathar H1121 the son H288 of Ahimelech H1272 fled H1732 to David H7084 to Keilah, H3381 that he came down H646 with an ephod H3027 in his hand.

7 H5046 And it was told H7586 Saul H1732 that David H935 was come H7084 to Keilah. H7586 And Saul H559 said, H430 God H5234 has delivered H3027 him into my hand; H5462 for he is shut in, H935 by entering H5892 into a town H1817 that has gates H1280 and bars.

8 H7586 And Saul H8085 called H5971 all the people H8085 together H4421 to war, H3381 to go down H7084 to Keilah, H6696 to besiege H1732 David H582 and his men.

9 H1732 And David H3045 knew H7586 that Saul H2790 secretly practised H7451 mischief H559 against him; and he said H54 to Abiathar H3548 the priest, H5066 Bring here H646 the ephod.
