Judges 11:15-28

  15 H559 And said H559 unto him, Thus says H3316 Jephthah, H3478 Israel H3947 took not away H776 the land H4124 of Moab, H776 nor the land H1121 of the sons H5983 of Ammon:
  16 H3478 But when Israel H5927 came up H4714 from Egypt, H3212 and walked H4057 through the wilderness H5488 unto the Red H3220 sea, H935 and came H6946 to Kadesh;
  17 H3478 Then Israel H7971 sent H4397 messengers H4428 unto the king H123 of Edom, H559 saying, H5674 Let me, I pray you, pass through H776 your land: H4428 but the king H123 of Edom H8085 would not listen H7971 thereto. And in like manner they sent H4428 unto the king H4124 of Moab: H14 but he would H3478 not consent: and Israel H3427 lived H6946 in Kadesh.
  18 H3212 Then they went along H4057 through the wilderness, H5437 and compassed H776 the land H123 of Edom, H776 and the land H4124 of Moab, H935 and came H4217 by the east side H776 of the land H4124 of Moab, H2583 and pitched H5676 on the other side H769 of Arnon, H935 but came H1366 not inside the border H4124 of Moab: H769 for Arnon H1366 was the border H4124 of Moab.
  19 H3478 And Israel H7971 sent H4397 messengers H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites, H4428 the king H2809 of Heshbon; H3478 and Israel H559 said H5674 unto him, Let us pass, H776 we pray you, through your land H5704 into H4725 my place.
  20 H5511 But Sihon H539 trusted H3478 not Israel H5674 to pass H1366 through his coast: H5511 but Sihon H622 gathered H5971 all his people H622 together, H2583 and pitched H3096 in Jahaz, H3898 and fought H3478 against Israel.
  21 H3068 And the Lord H430 God H3478 of Israel H5414 delivered H5511 Sihon H5971 and all his people H3027 into the hand H3478 of Israel, H5221 and they struck H3478 them: so Israel H3423 possessed H776 all the land H567 of the Amorites, H3427 the inhabitants H776 of that country.
  22 H3423 And they possessed H1366 all the coasts H567 of the Amorites, H769 from Arnon H2999 even unto Jabbok, H4057 and from the wilderness H3383 even unto Jordan.
  23 H3068 So now the Lord H430 God H3478 of Israel H3423 has dispossessed H567 the Amorites H6440 from before H5971 his people H3478 Israel, H3423 and should you possess it?
  24 H3423 Will not you possess H3645 that which Chemosh H430 your god H3423 gives you to possess? H3068 So whomever the Lord H430 our God H3423 shall drive out H6440 from before H3423 us, them will we possess.
  25 H2896 And now are you any thing better H1111 than Balak H1121 the son H6834 of Zippor, H4428 king H4124 of Moab? H7378 did he ever H7378 argue H3478 against Israel, H3898 or did he ever H3898 fight against them,
  26 H3478 While Israel H3427 lived H2809 in Heshbon H1323 and her towns, H6177 and in Aroer H1323 and her towns, H5892 and in all the cities H3027 that be along by the coasts H769 of Arnon, H7969 three H3967 hundred H8141 years? H5337 why therefore did you not recover H6256 them inside that time?
  27 H2398 Why I have not sinned H6213 against you, but you do H7451 me wrong H3898 to war H3068 against me: the Lord H8199 the Judge H8199 be judge H3117 this day H1121 between the sons H3478 of Israel H1121 and the sons H5983 of Ammon.
  28 H4428 But the king H1121 of the sons H5983 of Ammon H8085 listened H1697 not unto the words H3316 of Jephthah H7971 which he sent him.
