Speak to the house of Yisra El, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Behold, I profane my holies - the pomp of your strength the desire of your eyes and the sympathy of your soul: and your sons and your daughters whom you forsake fall by the sword.
And you, work as I work: neither cover your upper lip nor eat the bread of men:
with your tiaras on your heads and your shoes on your feet: neither chop nor weep; and you desolate for your perversities, and growl - man toward brother.
Thus Yechezq El becomes an omen to you: according to all he works, you work: and when this comes, you know I am Adonay Yah Veh.
And you, son of humanity, is it not in the day I take their stronghold from them - the joy of their adornment - the desire of their eyes and the burden of their souls - their sons and their daughters?
