H3920 וילכד took H1732 דויד Nevertheless David H853 את H4686 מצדת the castle H6726 ציון of Zion, H1931 היא which H5892 עיר the city H1732 דויד׃ of David.

6 H559 ויאמר said, H1732 דויד And David H3605 כל Whosoever H5221 מכה smiteth H2983 יבוסי the Jebusites H7223 בראשׁונה first H1961 יהיה shall be H7218 לראשׁ chief H8269 ולשׂר and captain. H5927 ויעל went first up, H7223 בראשׁונה went first up, H3097 יואב So Joab H1121 בן the son H6870 צרויה of Zeruiah H1961 ויהי and was H7218 לראשׁ׃ chief.

7 H3427 וישׁב dwelt H1732 דויד And David H4679 במצד in the castle; H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H7121 קראו they called H5892 לו עיר it the city H1732 דויד׃ of David.

8 H1129 ויבן And he built H5892 העיר the city H5439 מסביב round about, H4480 מן round about, H4407 המלוא Millo H5704 ועד H5439 הסביב round about: H3097 ויואב and Joab H2421 יחיה repaired H853 את H7605 שׁאר the rest H5892 העיר׃ of the city.
