1 Samuel 4:3-6 ויבא were come העם And when the people אל into המחנה the camp, ויאמרו said, זקני the elders ישׂראל of Israel למה Wherefore נגפנו smitten יהוה hath the LORD היום us today לפני before פלשׁתים the Philistines? נקחה Let us fetch אלינו unto משׁלה את ארון the ark ברית of the covenant יהוה of the LORD ויבא us, that, when it cometh בקרבנו among וישׁענו us, it may save מכף us out of the hand איבינו׃ of our enemies.
