2 Samuel 18:24-32 ודוד And David יושׁב sat בין between שׁני the two השׁערים gates: וילך went up הצפה and the watchman אל to גג the roof השׁער over the gate אל unto החומה the wall, וישׂא and lifted up את עיניו his eyes, וירא and looked, והנה and behold אישׁ a man רץ running לבדו׃ alone.

25 H7121 ויקרא cried, H6822 הצפה And the watchman H5046 ויגד and told H4428 למלך the king. H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And the king H518 אם If H905 לבדו he alone, H1309 בשׂורה tidings H6310 בפיו in his mouth. H1980 וילך And he came H1980 הלוך apace, H7131 וקרב׃ and drew near.

26 H7200 וירא saw H6822 הצפה And the watchman H376 אישׁ man H312 אחר another H7323 רץ running: H7121 ויקרא called H6822 הצפה and the watchman H413 אל unto H7778 השׁער the porter, H559 ויאמר and said, H2009 הנה Behold H376 אישׁ man H7323 רץ running H905 לבדו alone. H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And the king H1571 גם also H2088 זה He H1319 מבשׂר׃ bringeth tidings.

27 H559 ויאמר said, H6822 הצפה And the watchman H589 אני Me H7200 ראה thinketh H853 את H4794 מרוצת the running H7223 הראשׁון of the foremost H4794 כמרצת is like the running H290 אחימעץ of Ahimaaz H1121 בן the son H6659 צדוק of Zadok. H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And the king H376 אישׁ man, H2896 טוב a good H2088 זה He H413 ואל H1309 בשׂורה tidings. H2896 טובה with good H935 יבוא׃ and cometh

28 H7121 ויקרא called, H290 אחימעץ And Ahimaaz H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H7965 שׁלום All is well. H7812 וישׁתחו H4428 למלך before the king, H639 לאפיו upon his face H776 ארצה to the earth H559 ויאמר and said, H1288 ברוך Blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H834 אשׁר which H5462 סגר hath delivered up H853 את H376 האנשׁים the men H834 אשׁר that H5375 נשׂאו lifted up H853 את H3027 ידם their hand H113 באדני against my lord H4428 המלך׃ the king.

29 H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And the king H7965 שׁלום safe? H5288 לנער Is the young man H53 לאבשׁלום Absalom H559 ויאמר answered, H290 אחימעץ And Ahimaaz H7200 ראיתי I saw H1995 ההמון tumult, H1419 הגדול a great H7971 לשׁלח sent H853 את H5650 עבד servant, H4428 המלך the king's H3097 יואב When Joab H853 ואת H5650 עבדך and thy servant, H3808 ולא not H3045 ידעתי but I knew H4100 מה׃ what

30 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך And the king H5437 סב Turn aside, H3320 התיצב stand H3541 כה here. H5437 ויסב And he turned aside, H5975 ויעמד׃ and stood still.

31 H2009 והנה And, behold, H3569 הכושׁי Cushi H935 בא came; H559 ויאמר said, H3569 הכושׁי and Cushi H1319 יתבשׂר Tidings, H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king: H3588 כי for H8199 שׁפטך hath avenged H3068 יהוה the LORD H3117 היום thee this day H3027 מיד of H3605 כל all H6965 הקמים them that rose up H5921 עליך׃ against

32 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך And the king H413 אל unto H3569 הכושׁי Cushi, H7965 השׁלום safe? H5288 לנער Is the young man H53 לאבשׁלום Absalom H559 ויאמר answered, H3569 הכושׁי And Cushi H1961 יהיו be H5288 כנער as young man H341 איבי The enemies H113 אדני of my lord H4428 המלך the king, H3605 וכל and all H834 אשׁר that H6965 קמו rise H5921 עליך against H7451 לרעה׃ thee to do hurt,
