Hosea 8:5-14 זנח hath cast off; עגלך Thy calf, שׁמרון O Samaria, חרה is kindled אפי mine anger בם עד against them: how long מתי against them: how long לא ere יוכלו they attain נקין׃ to innocency?

5 H2186 זנח hath cast off; H5695 עגלך Thy calf, H8111 שׁמרון O Samaria, H2734 חרה is kindled H639 אפי mine anger H5704 בם עד against them: how long H4970 מתי against them: how long H3808 לא ere H3201 יוכלו they attain H5356 נקין׃ to innocency?

6 H3588 כי For H3478 מישׂראל H1931 והוא it H2796 חרשׁ also: the workman H6213 עשׂהו made H3808 ולא therefore it not H430 אלהים God: H1931 הוא it; H3588 כי but H7616 שׁבבים broken in pieces. H1961 יהיה shall be H5695 עגל the calf H8111 שׁמרון׃ of Samaria

7 H3588 כי For H7307 רוח the wind, H2232 יזרעו they have sown H5492 וסופתה the whirlwind: H7114 יקצרו and they shall reap H7054 קמה stalk: H369 אין it hath no H6780 לו צמח the bud H1097 בלי no H6213 יעשׂה shall yield H7058 קמח meal: H194 אולי if so be H6213 יעשׂה it yield, H2114 זרים the strangers H1104 יבלעהו׃ shall swallow it up.

8 H1104 נבלע is swallowed up: H3478 ישׂראל Israel H6258 עתה now H1961 היו shall they be H1471 בגוים among the Gentiles H3627 ככלי as a vessel H369 אין wherein no H2656 חפץ׃ pleasure.

9 H3588 כי For H1992 המה they H5927 עלו are gone up H804 אשׁור to Assyria, H6501 פרא a wild ass H909 בודד alone H669 לו אפרים by himself: Ephraim H8566 התנו hath hired H158 אהבים׃ lovers.

10 H1571 גם Yea, H3588 כי though H8566 יתנו they have hired H1471 בגוים among the nations, H6258 עתה now H6908 אקבצם will I gather H2490 ויחלו them, and they shall sorrow H4592 מעט a little H4853 ממשׂא for the burden H4428 מלך of the king H8269 שׂרים׃ of princes.

11 H3588 כי Because H7235 הרבה hath made many H669 אפרים Ephraim H4196 מזבחת altars H2398 לחטא to sin, H1961 היו shall be H4196 לו מזבחות altars H2398 לחטא׃ unto him to sin.

12 H3789 אכתוב I have written H3789 לו H7239 רבו H8451 תורתי of my law, H3644 כמו as H2114 זר a strange thing. H2803 נחשׁבו׃ they were counted

13 H2077 זבחי the sacrifices H1890 הבהבי of mine offerings, H2076 יזבחו They sacrifice H1320 בשׂר flesh H398 ויאכלו and eat H3069 יהוה H3808 לא them not; H7521 רצם accepteth H6258 עתה now H2142 יזכר will he remember H5771 עונם their iniquity, H6485 ויפקד and visit H2403 חטאותם their sins: H1992 המה they H4714 מצרים to Egypt. H7725 ישׁובו׃ shall return

14 H7911 וישׁכח hath forgotten H3478 ישׂראל For Israel H853 את H6213 עשׂהו his Maker, H1129 ויבן and buildeth H1964 היכלות temples; H3063 ויהודה and Judah H7235 הרבה hath multiplied H5892 ערים cities: H1219 בצרות fenced H7971 ושׁלחתי but I will send H784 אשׁ a fire H5892 בעריו upon his cities, H398 ואכלה and it shall devour H759 ארמנתיה׃ the palaces
