Joshua 7:7-11 ויאמר said, יהושׁע And Joshua אהה Alas, אדני O Lord יהוה GOD, למה wherefore העברת hast thou at all brought העביר hast thou at all brought את העם people הזה this את הירדן Jordan, לתת to deliver אתנו ביד us into the hand האמרי of the Amorites, להאבידנו to destroy ולו us? would to God הואלנו we had been content, ונשׁב and dwelt בעבר on the other side הירדן׃ Jordan!

9 H8085 וישׁמעו shall hear H3669 הכנעני For the Canaanites H3605 וכל and all H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H776 הארץ of the land H5437 ונסבו and shall environ us round, H5921 עלינו , and shall environ us round, H3772 והכריתו and cut off H853 את H8034 שׁמנו our name H4480 מן from H776 הארץ the earth: H4100 ומה and what H6213 תעשׂה wilt thou do H8034 לשׁמך name? H1419 הגדול׃ unto thy great

10 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H6965 קם Get thee up; H4100 לך למה wherefore H2088 זה thus H859 אתה thou H5307 נפל liest H5921 על upon H6440 פניך׃ thy face?

11 H2398 חטא hath sinned, H3478 ישׂראל Israel H1571 וגם and they have also H5674 עברו transgressed H853 את H1285 בריתי my covenant H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתי I commanded H853 אותם H1571 וגם them: for they have even H3947 לקחו taken H4480 מן of H2764 החרם the accursed thing, H1571 וגם and have also H1589 גנבו stolen, H1571 וגם also, H3584 כחשׁו and dissembled H1571 וגם even H7760 שׂמו and they have put H3627 בכליהם׃ among their own stuff.
