Joshua ויהי it came to pass, אחרי Now after מות the death משׁה of Moses עבד the servant יהוה of the LORD ויאמר spoke יהוה that the LORD אל unto יהושׁע Joshua בן the son נון of Nun, משׁרת minister, משׁה Moses' לאמר׃ saying,

1 H1961 ויהי it came to pass, H310 אחרי Now after H4194 מות the death H4872 משׁה of Moses H5650 עבד the servant H3068 יהוה of the LORD H559 ויאמר spoke H3068 יהוה that the LORD H413 אל unto H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H1121 בן the son H5126 נון of Nun, H8334 משׁרת minister, H4872 משׁה Moses' H559 לאמר׃ saying,

2 H4872 משׁה Moses H5650 עבדי my servant H4191 מת is dead; H6258 ועתה now H6965 קום therefore arise, H5674 עבר go over H853 את H3383 הירדן Jordan, H2088 הזה this H859 אתה thou, H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם people, H2088 הזה this H413 אל unto H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר which H595 אנכי I H5414 נתן do give H1121 להם לבני to them, to the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

3 H3605 כל Every H4725 מקום place H834 אשׁר that H1869 תדרך shall tread H3709 כף the sole H7272 רגלכם of your foot H5414 בו לכם נתתיו upon, that have I given H834 כאשׁר unto you, as H1696 דברתי I said H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה׃ Moses.

4 H4057 מהמדבר H3844 והלבנון Lebanon H2088 הזה and this H5704 ועד even unto H5104 הנהר river, H1419 הגדול the great H5104 נהר the river H6578 פרת Euphrates, H3605 כל all H776 ארץ the land H2850 החתים of the Hittites, H5704 ועד and unto H3220 הים sea H1419 הגדול the great H3996 מבוא toward the going down H8121 השׁמשׁ of the sun, H1961 יהיה shall be H1366 גבולכם׃ your coast.

5 H3808 לא There shall not H3320 יתיצב be able to stand H376 אישׁ any man H6440 לפניך before H3605 כל thee all H3117 ימי the days H2416 חייך of thy life: H834 כאשׁר as H1961 הייתי I was H5973 עם with H4872 משׁה Moses, H1961 אהיה I will be H5973 עמך with H3808 לא thee: I will not H7503 ארפך fail H3808 ולא thee, nor H5800 אעזבך׃ forsake

6 H2388 חזק Be strong H553 ואמץ and of a good courage: H3588 כי for H859 אתה shalt thou H5157 תנחיל divide for an inheritance H853 את H5971 העם people H2088 הזה unto this H853 את H776 הארץ the land, H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבעתי I swore H1 לאבותם unto their fathers H5414 לתת׃ to give

7 H7535 רק Only H2388 חזק be thou strong H553 ואמץ courageous, H3966 מאד and very H8104 לשׁמר that thou mayest observe H6213 לעשׂות to do H3605 ככל according to all H8451 התורה the law, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוך commanded H4872 משׁה Moses H5650 עבדי my servant H408 אל not H5493 תסור thee: turn H4480 ממנו from H3225 ימין it the right hand H8040 ושׂמאול or the left, H4616 למען that H7919 תשׂכיל thou mayest prosper H3605 בכל whithersoever H834 אשׁר whithersoever H1980 תלך׃ thou goest.

8 H3808 לא shall not H4185 ימושׁ depart H5612 ספר book H8451 התורה of the law H2088 הזה This H6310 מפיך out of thy mouth; H1897 והגית but thou shalt meditate H3119 בו יומם therein day H3915 ולילה and night, H4616 למען that H8104 תשׁמר thou mayest observe H6213 לעשׂות to do H3605 ככל according to all H3789 הכתוב that is written H3588 בו כי therein: for H227 אז then H6743 תצליח thou shalt make H853 את H1870 דרכך thy way H227 ואז and then H7919 תשׂכיל׃ thou shalt have good success.

9 H3808 הלוא Have not H6680 צויתיך I commanded H2388 חזק thee? Be strong H553 ואמץ and of a good courage; H408 אל be not afraid, H6206 תערץ be not afraid, H408 ואל neither H2865 תחת be thou dismayed: H3588 כי for H5973 עמך with H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H3605 בכל thee whithersoever H834 אשׁר thee whithersoever H1980 תלך׃ thou goest.

10 H6680 ויצו commanded H3091 יהושׁע Then Joshua H853 את H7860 שׁטרי the officers H5971 העם of the people, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

11 H5674 עברו Pass H7130 בקרב through H4264 המחנה the host, H6680 וצוו and command H853 את H5971 העם the people, H559 לאמר saying, H3559 הכינו Prepare H6720 לכם צידה you victuals; H3588 כי for H5750 בעוד within H7969 שׁלשׁת three H3117 ימים days H859 אתם ye H5674 עברים shall pass over H853 את H3383 הירדן Jordan, H2088 הזה this H935 לבוא to go in H3423 לרשׁת to possess H853 את H776 הארץ the land, H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H5414 נתן giveth H3423 לכם לרשׁתה׃ you to possess

12 H7206 ולראובני And to the Reubenites, H1425 ולגדי and to the Gadites, H2677 ולחצי and to half H7626 שׁבט the tribe H4519 המנשׁה of Manasseh, H559 אמר spoke H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

13 H2142 זכור Remember H853 את H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה commanded H853 אתכם H4872 משׁה Moses H5650 עבד the servant H3068 יהוה of the LORD H559 לאמר you, saying, H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H5117 מניח hath given you rest, H5414 לכם ונתן and hath given H853 לכם את H776 הארץ land. H2063 הזאת׃ you this

14 H802 נשׁיכם Your wives, H2945 טפכם your little ones, H4735 ומקניכם and your cattle, H3427 ישׁבו shall remain H776 בארץ in the land H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן gave H4872 לכם משׁה Moses H5676 בעבר you on this side H3383 הירדן Jordan; H859 ואתם but ye H5674 תעברו shall pass H2571 חמשׁים armed, H6440 לפני before H251 אחיכם your brethren H3605 כל all H1368 גבורי the mighty men H2428 החיל of valor, H5826 ועזרתם and help H853 אותם׃

15 H5704 עד H834 אשׁר which H5117 יניח have given H3068 יהוה the LORD H251 לאחיכם your brethren H3423 ככם וירשׁו have possessed H1571 גם also H1992 המה as you, and they H853 את H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר it, which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H5414 נתן giveth H7725 להם ושׁבתם them: then ye shall return H776 לארץ unto the land H3425 ירשׁתכם of your possession, H3423 וירשׁתם and enjoy H853 אותה H834 אשׁר H5414 נתן gave H4872 לכם משׁה Moses H5650 עבד servant H3068 יהוה the LORD's H5676 בעבר you on this side H3383 הירדן Jordan H4217 מזרח toward the sunrising. H8121 השׁמשׁ׃ toward the sunrising.

16 H6030 ויענו And they answered H853 את H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H559 לאמר saying, H3605 כל All H834 אשׁר that H6680 צויתנו thou commandest H6213 נעשׂה us we will do, H413 ואל and whithersoever H3605 כל H834 אשׁר H7971 תשׁלחנו thou sendest H1980 נלך׃ us, we will go.

17 H3605 ככל in all H834 אשׁר things, H8085 שׁמענו According as we hearkened H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses H3651 כן so H8085 נשׁמע will we hearken H413 אליך unto H7535 רק thee: only H1961 יהיה be H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5973 עמך with H834 כאשׁר thee, as H1961 היה he was H5973 עם with H4872 משׁה׃ Moses.

18 H3605 כל in all H376 אישׁ H834 אשׁר that H4784 ימרה that doth rebel against H853 את H6310 פיך thy commandment, H3808 ולא and will not H8085 ישׁמע hearken unto H853 את H1697 דבריך thy words H3605 לכל H834 אשׁר H6680 תצונו thou commandest H4191 יומת him, he shall be put to death: H7535 רק only H2388 חזק be strong H553 ואמץ׃ and of a good courage.
