Exodus 28:1-14 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother , and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel , that he may minister unto me in the priest's office , even Aaron , Nadab and Abihu , Eleazar and Ithamar , Aaron's sons.

3 H1696 And thou shalt speak [H8762] H2450 unto all that are wise H3820 hearted H4390 , whom I have filled [H8765] H7307 with the spirit H2451 of wisdom H6213 , that they may make [H8804] H175 Aaron's H899 garments H6942 to consecrate [H8763] H3547 him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office [H8763] .

4 H899 And these are the garments H6213 which they shall make [H8799] H2833 ; a breastplate H646 , and an ephod H4598 , and a robe H8665 , and a broidered H3801 coat H4701 , a mitre H73 , and a girdle H6213 : and they shall make [H8804] H6944 holy H899 garments H175 for Aaron H251 thy brother H1121 , and his sons H3547 , that he may minister unto me in the priest's office [H8763] .

5 H3947 And they shall take [H8799] H2091 gold H8504 , and blue H713 , and purple H8144 , and scarlet H8438 H8336 , and fine linen.

6 H6213 And they shall make [H8804] H646 the ephod H2091 of gold H8504 , of blue H713 , and of purple H8144 , of scarlet H8438 H7806 , and fine twined [H8716] H8336 linen H2803 , with cunning [H8802] H4639 work.

7 H8147 It shall have the two H3802 shoulderpieces H2266 thereof joined [H8802] H8147 at the two H7098 edges H2266 thereof; and so it shall be joined together [H8795] .

8 H2805 And the curious girdle H642 of the ephod H4639 , which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work H2091 thereof; even of gold H8504 , of blue H713 , and purple H8144 , and scarlet H8438 H7806 , and fine twined [H8716] H8336 linen.

9 H3947 And thou shalt take [H8804] H8147 two H7718 onyx H68 stones H6605 , and grave [H8765] H8034 on them the names H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel:

10 H8337 Six H8034 of their names H259 on one H68 stone H8337 , and the other six H8034 names H3498 of the rest [H8737] H8145 on the other H68 stone H8435 , according to their birth.

11 H4639 With the work H2796 of an engraver H68 in stone H6603 , like the engravings H2368 of a signet H6605 , shalt thou engrave [H8762] H8147 the two H68 stones H8034 with the names H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H6213 : thou shalt make [H8799] H4142 them to be set [H8716] H4865 in ouches H2091 of gold.

12 H7760 And thou shalt put [H8804] H8147 the two H68 stones H3802 upon the shoulders H646 of the ephod H68 for stones H2146 of memorial H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H175 : and Aaron H5375 shall bear [H8804] H8034 their names H6440 before H3068 the LORD H8147 upon his two H3802 shoulders H2146 for a memorial.

13 H6213 And thou shalt make [H8804] H4865 ouches H2091 of gold;

14 H8147 And two H8333 chains H2889 of pure H2091 gold H4020 at the ends H5688 ; of wreathen H4639 work H6213 shalt thou make [H8799] H5414 them, and fasten [H8804] H5688 the wreathen H8333 chains H4865 to the ouches.

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And bring thou near unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons. ² And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for beauty. ³ And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to sanctify him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. ⁴ And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a coat of chequer work, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. ⁵ And they shall take the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen. ⁶ And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the cunning workman. ⁷ It shall have two shoulderpieces joined to the two ends thereof; that it may be joined together. ⁸ And the cunningly woven band, which is upon it, to gird it on withal, shall be like the work thereof [and] of the same piece; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. ⁹ And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel: ¹⁰ six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the other stone, according to their birth. ¹¹ With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones, according to the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be enclosed in ouches of gold. ¹² And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial. ¹³ And thou shalt make ouches of gold: ¹⁴ and two chains of pure gold; like cords shalt thou make them, of wreathen work: and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the ouches.
