  6 H5830 This Ezra H5927 went up [H8804]   H894 from Babylon H4106 ; and he was a ready H5608 scribe [H8802]   H8451 in the law H4872 of Moses H3068 , which the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H5414 had given [H8804]   H4428 : and the king H5414 granted [H8799]   H1246 him all his request H3027 , according to the hand H3068 of the LORD H430 his God upon him.
  7 H5927 And there went up [H8799]   H1121 some of the children H3478 of Israel H3548 , and of the priests H3881 , and the Levites H7891 , and the singers [H8789]   H7778 , and the porters H5411 , and the Nethinims H3389 , unto Jerusalem H7651 , in the seventh H8141 year H783 of Artaxerxes H4428 the king.
  8 H935 And he came [H8799]   H3389 to Jerusalem H2549 in the fifth H2320 month H7637 , which was in the seventh H8141 year H4428 of the king.
  9 H259 For upon the first H7223 day of the first H2320 month H3246 began H4609 he to go up H894 from Babylon H259 , and on the first H2549 day of the fifth H2320 month H935 came [H8804]   H3389 he to Jerusalem H2896 , according to the good H3027 hand H430 of his God upon him.
  10 H5830 For Ezra H3559 had prepared [H8689]   H3824 his heart H1875 to seek [H8800]   H8451 the law H3068 of the LORD H6213 , and to do [H8800]   H3925 it, and to teach [H8763]   H3478 in Israel H2706 statutes H4941 and judgments.
  11 H6572 Now this is the copy H5406 of the letter H4428 that the king H783 Artaxerxes H5414 gave [H8804]   H5830 unto Ezra H3548 the priest H5608 , the scribe [H8802]   H5608 , even a scribe [H8802]   H1697 of the words H4687 of the commandments H3068 of the LORD H2706 , and of his statutes H3478 to Israel.
  12 H783 Artaxerxes H4430 , king H4430 of kings H5831 , unto Ezra H3549 the priest H5613 , a scribe H1882 of the law H426 of the God H8065 of heaven H1585 , perfect [H8752]   H3706 peace, and at such a time.
  13 H4481 I H7761 make [H8752]   H2942 a decree H3606 , that all H4481 they of H5972 the people H3479 of Israel H3549 , and of his priests H3879 and Levites H4437 , in my realm H5069 , which are minded of their own freewill [H8723]   H1946 to go up [H8749]   H3390 to Jerusalem H1946 , go [H8748]   H5974 with thee.
  14 H1768 Forasmuch H6903   H3606 as H7972 thou art sent [H8750]   H4481 of H6925   H4430 the king H7655 , and of his seven H3272 counsellors [H8750]   H1240 , to enquire [H8742]   H5922 concerning H3061 Judah H3390 and Jerusalem H1882 , according to the law H426 of thy God H3028 which is in thine hand;
  15 H2987 And to carry [H8682]   H3702 the silver H1722 and gold H4430 , which the king H3272 and his counsellors [H8750]   H5069 have freely offered [H8724]   H426 unto the God H3479 of Israel H1768 , whose H4907 habitation H3390 is in Jerusalem,
  16 H3606 And all H3702 the silver H1722 and gold H7912 that thou canst find [H8681]   H3606 in all H4083 the province H895 of Babylon H5974 , with H5069 the freewill offering [H8722]   H5972 of the people H3549 , and of the priests H5069 , offering willingly [H8723]   H1005 for the house H426 of their God H3390 which is in Jerusalem:
  17 H3606 That H6903   H7066 thou mayest buy [H8748]   H629 speedily H1836 with this H3702 money H8450 bullocks H1798 , rams H563 , lambs H4504 , with their meat offerings H5261 and their drink offerings H7127 , and offer [H8741]   H1994 them H5922 upon H4056 the altar H1005 of the house H426 of your God H3390 which is in Jerusalem.
  18 H4101 And whatsoever H1768   H3191 shall seem good [H8748]   H5922 to thee, and to H252 thy brethren H5648 , to do [H8749]   H7606 with the rest H3702 of the silver H1722 and the gold H5648 , that do [H8748]   H7470 after the will H426 of your God.
  19 H3984 The vessels H3052 also that are given [H8727]   H6402 thee for the service H1005 of the house H426 of thy God H8000 , those deliver [H8680]   H6925 thou before H426 the God H3390 of Jerusalem.
  20 H7606 And whatsoever more H2819 shall be needful H1005 for the house H426 of thy God H5308 , which thou shalt have occasion [H8748]   H5415 to bestow [H8749]   H5415 , bestow [H8748]   H4481 it out of H4430 the king's H1596 treasure H1005 house.
  21 H4481 And I H576 , even I H783 Artaxerxes H4430 the king H7761 , do make [H8752]   H2942 a decree H3606 to all H1490 the treasurers H5675 which are beyond H5103 the river H5831 , that whatsoever Ezra H3549 the priest H5613 , the scribe H1882 of the law H426 of the God H8065 of heaven H7593 , shall require [H8748]   H5648 of you, it be done [H8725]   H629 speedily,
  22 H5705 Unto H3969 an hundred H3604 talents H3702 of silver H3969 , and to an hundred H3734 measures H2591 of wheat H3969 , and to an hundred H1325 baths H2562 of wine H3969 , and to an hundred H1325 baths H4887 of oil H4416 , and salt H3809 without H3792 prescribing how much .
  23 H3606 Whatsoever H2941 is commanded by H4481   H426 the God H8065 of heaven H149 , let it be diligently H5648 done [H8725]   H1005 for the house H426 of the God H8065 of heaven H1768 : for H4101 why H1934 should there be [H8748]   H7109 wrath H5922 against H4437 the realm H4430 of the king H1123 and his sons?
  24 H3046 Also we certify [H8683]   H3606 you, that touching any H3549 of the priests H3879 and Levites H2171 , singers H8652 , porters H5412 , Nethinims H6399 , or ministers [H8750]   H1836 of this H1005 house H426 of God H3809 , it shall not H7990 be lawful H7412 to impose [H8749]   H4061 toll H1093 , tribute H1983 , or custom H5922 , upon them.
  25 H607 And thou H5831 , Ezra H2452 , after the wisdom H426 of thy God H3028 , that is in thine hand H4483 , set [H8740]   H8200 magistrates [H8751]   H1782 and judges H1934 , which may judge [H8748]   H1778   [H8751]   H3606 all H5972 the people H5675 that are beyond H5103 the river H3606 , all H3046 such as know [H8751]   H1882 the laws H426 of thy God H3046 ; and teach [H8681]   H3046 ye them that know [H8751]   H3809 them not.
  26 H3606 And whosoever H3809 will not H1934 do [H8748]   H5648   [H8751]   H1882 the law H426 of thy God H1882 , and the law H4430 of the king H1780 , let judgment H1934 be [H8748]   H5648 executed [H8727]   H629 speedily H4481 upon him H2006 , whether H4193 it be unto death H2006 , or H8332 to banishment H2006 , or H6065 to confiscation H5232 of goods H613 , or to imprisonment.
  27 H1288 Blessed [H8803]   H3068 be the LORD H430 God H1 of our fathers H5414 , which hath put [H8804]   H4428 such a thing as this in the king's H3820 heart H6286 , to beautify [H8763]   H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD H3389 which is in Jerusalem:
  28 H5186 And hath extended [H8689]   H2617 mercy H6440 unto me before H4428 the king H3289 , and his counsellors [H8802]   H4428 , and before all the king's H1368 mighty H8269 princes H2388 . And I was strengthened [H8694]   H3027 as the hand H3068 of the LORD H430 my God H6908 was upon me, and I gathered together [H8799]   H3478 out of Israel H7218 chief men H5927 to go up [H8800]   with me.

  6 H1931 הוא This H5830 עזרא Ezra H5927 עלה went up H894 מבבל   H1931 והוא and he H5608 ספר scribe H4106 מהיר a ready H8451 בתורת in the law H4872 משׁה of Moses, H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן had given: H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H5414 ויתן granted H4428 לו המלך and the king H3027 כיד according to the hand H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיו his God H5921 עליו upon H3605 כל him all H1246 בקשׁתו׃ his request,
  7 H5927 ויעלו And there went up H1121 מבני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H4480 ומן of the children H3548 הכהנים the priests, H3881 והלוים and the Levites, H7891 והמשׁררים and the singers, H7778 והשׁערים and the porters, H5411 והנתינים and the Nethinims, H413 אל unto H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem, H8141 בשׁנת year H7651 שׁבע in the seventh H783 לארתחשׁסתא of Artaxerxes H4428 המלך׃ the king.
  8 H935 ויבא And he came H3389 ירושׁלם to Jerusalem H2320 בחדשׁ month, H2549 החמישׁי in the fifth H1931 היא which H8141 שׁנת year H7637 השׁביעית in the seventh H4428 למלך׃ of the king.
  9 H3588 כי For H259 באחד upon the first H2320 לחדשׁ month H7223 הראשׁון of the first H1931 הוא he H3246 יסד began H4609 המעלה to go up H894 מבבל   H259 ובאחד and on the first H2320 לחדשׁ month H2549 החמישׁי of the fifth H935 בא came H413 אל he to H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem, H3027 כיד hand H430 אלהיו of his God H2896 הטובה according to the good H5921 עליו׃ upon
  10 H3588 כי For H5830 עזרא Ezra H3559 הכין had prepared H3824 לבבו his heart H1875 לדרושׁ to seek H853 את   H8451 תורת the law H3069 יהוה   H6213 ולעשׂת and to do H3925 וללמד and to teach H3478 בישׂראל in Israel H2706 חק statutes H4941 ומשׁפט׃ and judgments.
  11 H2088 וזה Now this H6572 פרשׁגן the copy H5406 הנשׁתון of the letter H834 אשׁר that H5414 נתן gave H4428 המלך the king H783 ארתחשׁסתא Artaxerxes H5830 לעזרא unto Ezra H3548 הכהן the priest, H5608 הספר the scribe, H5608 ספר a scribe H1697 דברי of the words H4687 מצות of the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H2706 וחקיו and of his statutes H5921 על to H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel.
  12 H783 ארתחשׁסתא Artaxerxes, H4430 מלך king H4430 מלכיא of kings, H5831 לעזרא unto Ezra H3549 כהנא the priest, H5613 ספר a scribe H1882 דתא of the law H1768 די of H426 אלה the God H8065 שׁמיא of heaven, H1585 גמיר perfect H3706 וכענת׃ and at such a time.
  13 H4481 מני they of H7761 שׂים I make H2942 טעם a decree, H1768 די that H3606 כל all H5069 מתנדב which are minded of their own freewill H4437 במלכותי in my realm, H4481 מן   H5972 עמה the people H3479 ישׂראל of Israel, H3549 וכהנוהי and his priests H3879 ולויא and Levites, H1946 למהך to go up H3390 לירושׁלם to Jerusalem, H5974 עמך with H1946 יהך׃ go

  15 H2987 ולהיבלה And to carry H3702 כסף the silver H1722 ודהב and gold, H1768 די which H4430 מלכא the king H3272 ויעטוהי and his counselors H5069 התנדבו have freely offered H426 לאלה unto the God H3479 ישׂראל of Israel, H1768 די whose H3390 בירושׁלם in Jerusalem, H4907 משׁכנה׃ habitation
  16 H3606 וכל And all H3702 כסף the silver H1722 ודהב and gold H1768 די that H7912 תהשׁכח thou canst find H3606 בכל in all H4083 מדינת the province H895 בבל of Babylon, H5974 עם with H5069 התנדבות the freewill offering H5972 עמא   H3549 וכהניא and of the priests, H5069 מתנדבין offering willingly H1005 לבית for the house H426 אלההם of their God H1768 די which H3390 בירושׁלם׃ in Jerusalem:

  19 H3984 ומאניא The vessels H1768 די also that H3052 מתיהבין are given H6402 לך לפלחן thee for the service H1005 בית of the house H426 אלהך of thy God, H8000 השׁלם deliver H6925 קדם thou before H426 אלה the God H3390 ירושׁלם׃ of Jerusalem.

  28 H5921 ועלי unto H5186 הטה And hath extended H2617 חסד mercy H6440 לפני me before H4428 המלך the king, H3289 ויועציו and his counselors, H3605 ולכל and before all H8269 שׂרי princes. H4428 המלך the king's H1368 הגברים mighty H589 ואני And I H2388 התחזקתי was strengthened H3027 כיד as the hand H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהי my God H5921 עלי upon H6908 ואקבצה me, and I gathered together H3478 מישׂראל   H7218 ראשׁים chief men H5927 לעלות to go up H5973 עמי׃ with
