Deuteronomy 31:19-30 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel : put it in their mouths , that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

21 H7227 And it shall come to pass, when many H7451 evils H6869 and troubles H4672 are befallen [H8799] H7892 them, that this song H6030 shall testify [H8804] H6440 against H5707 them as a witness H7911 ; for it shall not be forgotten [H8735] H6310 out of the mouths H2233 of their seed H3045 : for I know [H8804] H3336 their imagination H6213 which they go about [H8802] H3117 , even now H935 , before I have brought [H8686] H776 them into the land H7650 which I sware [H8738] .

22 H4872 Moses H3789 therefore wrote [H8799] H7892 this song H3117 the same day H3925 , and taught [H8762] H1121 it the children H3478 of Israel.

23 H3091 And he gave Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H6680 a charge [H8762] H559 , and said [H8799] H2388 , Be strong [H8798] H553 and of a good courage [H8798] H935 : for thou shalt bring [H8686] H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H776 into the land H7650 which I sware [H8738] unto them: and I will be with thee.

26 H3947 Take [H8800] H5612 this book H8451 of the law H7760 , and put [H8804] H6654 it in the side H727 of the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of the LORD H430 your God H5707 , that it may be there for a witness against thee.

27 H3045 For I know [H8804] H4805 thy rebellion H7186 , and thy stiff H6203 neck H2416 : behold, while I am yet alive H3117 with you this day H4784 , ye have been rebellious [H8688] H3068 against the LORD H310 ; and how much more after H4194 my death?

28 H6950 Gather [H8685] H2205 unto me all the elders H7626 of your tribes H7860 , and your officers [H8802] H1696 , that I may speak [H8762] H1697 these words H241 in their ears H5749 , and call H8064 heaven H776 and earth H5749 to record [H8686] against them.

29 H3045 For I know [H8804] H310 that after H4194 my death H7843 ye will utterly [H8687] H7843 corrupt [H8686] H5493 yourselves, and turn aside [H8804] H1870 from the way H6680 which I have commanded [H8765] H7451 you; and evil H7122 will befall [H8804] H319 you in the latter H3117 days H6213 ; because ye will do [H8799] H7451 evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3707 , to provoke him to anger [H8687] H4639 through the work H3027 of your hands.
