Acts 18:14-17

VIN(i) 14 Paul was about to speak when Gallio said to the Jews: "If you Jews were about to complain about some crime it would be reasonable for me to listen to you. 15 But since it is a dispute about words and names and your own law, settle it yourselves. I refuse to be a judge of such things.” 16 So he drove them away from the court. 17 Then they all seized Sosthenes, the leader of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the court. But Gallio paid no attention to it.
