2 Samuel 7:8-17 Now therefore so shalt thou say to my servant David , Thus saith the LORD of hosts , I took thee from the sheepfold , from following the sheep , to be ruler over my people , over Israel:

14 H1 I will be his father H1121 , and he shall be my son H5753 [H8687] . If he shall commit iniquity H3198 [H8689] , I will chasten H7626 him with the rod H582 of men H5061 , and with the stripes H1121 of the children H120 of men:

17 H1697 According to all these words H2384 , and according to all this vision H5416 , so did Nathan H1696 [H8765] speak H1732 to David.
