Leviticus 17 And the LORD spoke to Moses , saying,

2 H1696 [H8761] Speak H175 to Aaron H1121 , and to his sons H1121 , and to all the children H3478 of Israel H559 [H8804] , and say H1697 to them; This is the thing H3068 which the LORD H6680 [H8765] hath commanded H559 [H8800] , saying,

3 H376 Whatever H376 man H1004 there may be of the house H3478 of Israel H7819 [H8799] , that killeth H7794 an ox H3775 , or lamb H5795 , or goat H4264 , in the camp H7819 [H8799] , or that killeth H2351 it outside H4264 of the camp,

4 H935 [H8689] And bringeth H6607 it not to the door H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H7126 [H8687] , to offer H7133 an offering H3068 to the LORD H6440 before H4908 the tabernacle H3068 of the LORD H1818 ; blood H2803 [H8735] shall be imputed H376 to that man H8210 [H8804] ; he hath shed H1818 blood H376 ; and that man H3772 [H8738] shall be cut off H7130 from among H5971 his people:

5 H1121 To the end that the children H3478 of Israel H935 [H8686] may bring H2077 their sacrifices H2076 [H8802] , which they offer H6440 in the open H7704 field H935 [H8689] , even that they may bring H3068 them to the LORD H6607 , to the door H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H3548 , to the priest H2076 [H8804] , and offer H8002 them for peace H2077 offerings H3068 to the LORD.

6 H3548 And the priest H2236 [H8804] shall sprinkle H1818 the blood H4196 upon the altar H3068 of the LORD H6607 at the door H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H6999 [H8689] , and burn H2459 the fat H5207 for a sweet H7381 savour H3068 to the LORD.

7 H2076 [H8799] And they shall no more offer H2077 their sacrifices H8163 to demons H310 , with H2181 [H8802] which they have committed idolatry H2708 . This shall be a statute H5769 for ever H1755 to them throughout their generations.

8 H559 [H8799] And thou shalt say H376 to them, Whatever man H1004 there may be of the house H3478 of Israel H1616 , or of the strangers H1481 [H8799] which sojourn H8432 among H5927 [H8686] you, that offereth H5930 a burnt offering H2077 or sacrifice,

9 H935 [H8686] And bringeth H6607 it not to the door H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H6213 [H8800] , to offer H3068 it to the LORD H376 ; even that man H3772 [H8738] shall be cut off H5971 from among his people.

10 H376 And whatever man H1004 there may be of the house H3478 of Israel H1616 , or of the strangers H1481 [H8802] that sojourn H8432 among H398 [H8799] you, that eateth H1818 any manner of blood H5414 [H8804] ; I will even set H6440 my face H5315 against that soul H398 [H8802] that eateth H1818 blood H3772 [H8689] , and will cut him off H7130 from among H5971 his people.

11 H5315 For the life H1320 of the flesh H1818 is in the blood H5414 [H8804] : and I have given H4196 it to you upon the altar H3722 [H8763] to make an atonement H5315 for your souls H1818 : for it is the blood H3722 [H8762] that maketh an atonement H5315 for the soul.

12 H559 [H8804] Therefore I said H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel H5315 , No soul H398 [H8799] of you shall eat H1818 blood H1616 , neither shall any stranger H1481 [H8802] that sojourneth H8432 among H398 [H8799] you eat H1818 blood.

13 H376 And whatever man H1121 there may be of the children H3478 of Israel H1616 , or of the strangers H1481 [H8802] that sojourn H8432 among H6679 [H8799] you, who hunteth H6718 and catcheth H2416 any beast H5775 or fowl H398 [H8735] that may be eaten H8210 [H8804] ; he shall even pour H1818 out its blood H3680 [H8765] , and cover H6083 it with dust.

14 H5315 For it is the life H1320 of all flesh H1818 ; the blood H5315 of it is for the life H559 [H8799] of it: therefore I said H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel H398 [H8799] , Ye shall eat H1818 the blood H1320 of no manner of flesh H5315 : for the life H1320 of all flesh H1818 is its blood H398 [H8802] : whoever eateth H3772 [H8735] it shall be cut off.

15 H5315 And every soul H398 [H8799] that eateth H5038 that which died H2966 of itself, or that which was torn H249 with beasts, whether it is one of your own country H1616 , or a stranger H3526 [H8765] , he shall both wash H899 his clothes H7364 [H8804] , and bathe H4325 himself in water H2930 [H8804] , and be unclean H6153 until the evening H2891 [H8804] : then shall he be clean.

16 H3526 [H8762] But if he doth not wash H7364 [H8799] them, nor bathe H1320 his flesh H5375 [H8804] ; then he shall bear H5771 his iniquity.
