1 Samuel 23:2-13 Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said to David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and liberate Keilah.

H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H1732 to David, H3212 [H8798] Go, H5221 [H8689] and smite H6430 the Philistines, H3467 [H8689] and liberate H7084 Keilah.

3 H1732 And David's H582 men H559 [H8799] said H3373 to him, Behold, we are afraid H3063 here in Judah: H3212 [H8799] how much more then if we come H7084 to Keilah H4634 against the armies H6430 of the Philistines?

4 H1732 Then David H7592 [H8800] enquired H3068 of the LORD H3254 [H8686] yet again. H3068 And the LORD H6030 [H8799] answered H559 [H8799] him and said, H6965 [H8798] Arise, H3381 [H8798] go down H7084 to Keilah; H5414 [H8802] for I will give H6430 the Philistines H3027 into thine hand.

5 H1732 So David H582 and his men H3212 [H8799] went H7084 to Keilah, H3898 [H8735] and fought H6430 with the Philistines, H5090 [H8799] and brought away H4735 their cattle, H5221 [H8686] and smote H1419 them with a great H4347 slaughter. H1732 So David H3467 [H8686] liberated H3427 [H8802] the inhabitants H7084 of Keilah.

6 H54 And it came to pass, when Abiathar H1121 the son H288 of Ahimelech H1272 [H8800] fled H1732 to David H7084 to Keilah, H3381 [H8804] that he came down H646 with an ephod H3027 in his hand.

7 H5046 [H8714] And it was told H7586 to Saul H1732 that David H935 [H8804] had come H7084 to Keilah. H7586 And Saul H559 [H8799] said, H430 God H5234 [H8765] hath delivered H3027 him into my hand; H5462 [H8738] for he is shut in, H935 [H8800] by entering H5892 into a town H1817 that hath gates H1280 and bars.

8 H7586 And Saul H8085 0 called H5971 all the people H8085 [H8762] together H4421 to war, H3381 [H8800] to go down H7084 to Keilah, H6696 [H8800] to besiege H1732 David H582 and his men.

9 H1732 And David H3045 [H8799] knew H7586 that Saul H2790 [H8688] secretly devised H7451 evil H559 [H8799] against him; and he said H54 to Abiathar H3548 the priest, H5066 [H8685] Bring here H646 the ephod.

10 H559 [H8799] Then said H1732 David, H3068 O LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel, H5650 thy servant H8085 [H8800] hath certainly H8085 [H8804] heard H7586 that Saul H1245 [H8764] seeketh H935 [H8800] to come H7084 to Keilah, H7843 [H8763] to decay H5892 the city for my sake.

11 H1167 Will the men H7084 of Keilah H5462 [H8686] deliver me up H3027 into his hand? H7586 will Saul H3381 [H8799] come down, H5650 as thy servant H8085 [H8804] hath heard? H3068 O LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel, H5046 [H8685] I beseech thee, tell H5650 thy servant. H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said, H3381 [H8799] He will come down.

12 H559 [H8799] Then said H1732 David, H1167 Will the men H7084 of Keilah H5462 [H8686] deliver H582 me and my men H3027 into the hand H7586 of Saul? H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said, H5462 [H8686] They will deliver thee up.

13 H1732 Then David H582 and his men, H8337 who were about six H3967 H376 hundred, H6965 [H8799] arose H3318 [H8799] and departed H7084 from Keilah, H1980 [H8691] and went H834 wherever H1980 [H8691] they could go. H5046 [H8717] And it was told H7586 Saul H1732 that David H4422 [H8738] had escaped H7084 from Keilah; H2308 [H8799] and he did not H3318 [H8800] go there.
