  1 G2532 And G2980 the lord spoke G2962   G4314 to G* Moses G1909 upon G1424 the descent G* of Moab, G3844 by G3588 the G* Jordan, G2596 across from G* Jericho, G3004 saying,

  2 G4929 Give orders G3588 to the G5207 sons G* of Israel! G2532 and G1325 they shall give G3588 to the G* Levites G575 from G3588 the G2819 lots G2697 of their possession G1473   G4172 cities G2730 to dwell in; G2532 and G3588 the G4258.4 outskirts G3588 of the G4172 cities G2945 round about G1473 them G1325 you shall give G3588 to the G* Levites.

  3 G2532 And G1510.8.6 [³shall be G3588 ¹the G4172 ²cities] G2730 to dwell in. G2532 And G3588   G873.1 their separation offerings of lands G1473   G1510.8.3 will be G3588 for G2934 their cattle G1473   G2532 and G3956 all G3588   G5074 their four-footed animals . G1473  

  4 G2532 And G3588 the G4794.1 lands falling in with G3588 the G4172 cities, G3739 which G1325 you shall give G3588 to the G* Levites, G575 shall be from G5038 the wall G3588 of the G4172 city G2532 and G1854 outside -- G5507 a thousand G4083 cubits G2945 round about.

  5 G2532 And G3354 you shall measure G1854 outside G3588 the G4172 city -- G3588 the G2827.1 side G3588 the one G4314 towards G395 the east -- G1367 two thousand G4083 cubits; G2532 and G3588 the G2827.1 side G3588 the one G4314 towards G3047 the south -- G1367 two thousand G4083 cubits; G2532 and G3588 the G2827.1 side G3588 the one G4314 towards G2281 the west -- G1367 two thousand G4083 cubits; G2532 and G3588 the G2827.1 side G3588 the one G4314 towards G1005 the north -- G1367 two thousand G4083 cubits; G2532 and G3588 the G4172 city G3319 between G3778 this G1510.8.3 will be G1473 for you, G2532 and G3588 the G3672.7 adjoining areas G3588 of the G4172 cities.

  6 G2532 And G3588 the G4172 cities G3739 which G1325 you shall give G3588 to the G* Levites G3588 are the G1803 six G4172 cities G3588 of the G5435.5 places of refuge, G3739 which G1325 you shall give G5343 [³to flee G1563 ⁴there G3588 ¹for the G5407 ²one man-slaying]; G2532 and G4314 in addition G3778 to these, G5062 forty G2532   G1417 two G4172 cities.

  7 G3956 All G3588 the G4172 cities G3739 which G1325 you shall give G3588 to the G* Levites G5062 are forty G2532 and G3638 eight G4172 cities, G3778 these G2532 and G3588   G4258.4 their outskirts. G1473  

  8 G2532 And G3588 the G4172 cities G3739 which G1325 you shall give G575 from G3588 the G2697 possession G5207 of the sons G* of Israel, G575 from G3588 the ones having G3588   G4183 many G4183 will be many; G2532 and G575 from G3588 the ones having G1640 less G1640 will be less; G1538 each G2596 according to G3588   G2817 his inheritance G1473   G3739 which G2624.1 they shall allot, G1325 they shall give G575 from G3588 the G4172 cities G3588 to the G* Levites.

  9 G2532 And G2980 the lord spoke G2962   G4314 to G* Moses, G3004 saying,

  10 G2980 Speak G3588 to the G5207 sons G* of Israel! G2532 and G2046 you shall say G4314 to G1473 them, G1473 You G1224 are passing over G3588 the G* Jordan G1519 into G1093 the land G* of Canaan.

  11 G2532 And G1291 you shall draw apart G1473 to you G1473 for them G4172 cities for them; G5435.5 [²places of refuge G1510.8.3 ¹they will be] G1473 to you G5343 [³to flee G1563 ⁴there G3588 ¹ for the G5406.1 ²man-slayer]; G3956 any one G3588   G3960 striking G5590 a soul G190.7 unintentionally.

  12 G2532 And G1510.8.6 they will be G3588   G4172 cities G1473 for you G5435.5 as places of refuge G575 from G3588 the G70.4 one acting as next of kin G3588   G129 for blood, G2532 that G3766.2 in no way G599 should [³die G3588 ¹the one G5407 ²man-slaying] G2193 until G302 whenever G2476 he should stand G1725 before G3588 the G4864 congregation G1519 for G2920 judgment.

  13 G2532 And G3588 the G4172 cities G3739 which G1325 you shall appoint -- G3588 the G1803 six G4172 cities -- G5435.5 [²places of refuge G1510.8.6 ¹will be] G1473 for you.

  14 G3588   G5140 Three G4172 cities G1325 you shall appoint G1722 on G3588 the G4008 other side G3588 of the G* Jordan, G2532 and G3588   G5140 three G4172 cities G1325 you shall appoint G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Canaan.

  15 G5435.4 A place of refuge G1510.8.3 they will be G3588 to the G5207 sons G* of Israel. G2532 And G3588 to the G4339 foreigner G2532 and G3588 to the G3941 sojourner G3588   G1722 among G1473 you G1510.8.6 [²will be G3588   G4172 ¹these cities] G3778   G1519 for G5435.5 a place of refuge G5343 to flee G1563 there G3956 to all G3960 striking G5590 a soul G190.7 unintentionally.

  16 G1437 And if G1161   G1722 by G4632 an item G4604 of iron G3960 one should strike G1473 him, G2532 and G5053 he should come to an end -- G5406.1 that one is a murderer -- G1510.2.3   G2288 unto death G2289 let [³be put to death G3588 ¹the G5406.1 ²murderer]!

  17 G1437 And if G1161   G1722 by G3037 a stone G1537 from G5495 the hand G1722 in G3739 which G599 one should die G1722 by G1473 it, G3960 then the one who should strike G1473 him, G2532 even G599 he should die, G5406.1 he is a murderer -- G1510.2.3   G2288 unto death G2289 let [³be put to death G3588 ¹the G5406.1 ²murderer]!

  18 G1437 And if G1161   G1722 by G4632 an item G3585 of wood G1537 from G5495 his hand G1537 of G3778 which G599 one should die, G3960 as he should strike G1473 him, G2532 and G599 one should die, G5406.1 he is a murderer -- G1510.2.3   G2288 unto death G599 [³shall die G3588 ¹the G5406.1 ²murderer]!

  19 G3588 The G70.4 one acting as next of kin G3588   G129 for blood, G3778 this one G615 shall kill G3588 the G5407 one man-slaying; G3752 whenever G4876 he meets G1473 him, G3778 this one G615 shall kill G1473 him.

  20 G1437 And if G1161   G1223 through G2189 hatred G5605.2 he should thrust him through G1473   G2532 or G1977 should cast G1909 upon G1473 him G3956 any G4632 item G1537 by G1749 ambush, G2532 and G599 he should die,

  21 G2228 or G1223 through G3376.2 vehement anger G3960 he strikes G1473 him G3588 by the G5495 hand, G2532 and G599 he should die -- G2288 to death G2289 let [³be put to death G3588 ¹the one G3960 ²striking], G5406.1 he is a murderer! G1510.2.3   G3588 The G70.4 one acting as next of kin G3588 for G129 blood G615 shall kill G3588 the G5407 one man-slaying G1722 in G3588 the G4876 meeting up with G1473 him.

  22 G1437 But if G1161   G1819.1 suddenly, G3756 [²not G1223 ³by G2189 ⁴hatred G5605.2 ¹he should thrust him through], G1473   G2228 or G1977 cast G1909 upon G1473 him G3956 any G4632 item, G3756 not G1537 from G1749 ambush,

  23 G2228 or G3956 any G3037 stone G1722 in G3739 which G599 he shall die G1722 by G1473 it, G3756 not G1492 knowing, G2532 and G1968 he should fall G1909 upon G1473 him, G2532 and G599 he should die, G1473 but he G1161   G3756 [²not G2190 ³his enemy G1473   G1510.7.3 ¹was], G3761 nor G2212 seeking G2554 to do evil G1473 against him;

  24 G2532 then G2919 [³shall judge G3588 ¹the G4864 ²congregation] G303.1 between G3588 the G3960 one striking G2532 and G303.1 between G3588 the one G70.4 acting as next of kin G3588   G129 for blood, G2596 according to G3588   G2917 these cases. G3778  

  25 G2532 And G1807 [³shall rescue G3588 ¹the G4864 ²congregation] G3588 the one G5407 man-slaying G575 from G3588 the one G70.4 acting as next of kin G3588   G129 for blood; G2532 and G600 [³shall restore G1473 ⁴him G3588 ¹the G4864 ²congregation] G1519 into G3588 the G4172 city G3588   G5435.5 of his place of refuge, G1473   G3739 of which G2703 he took refuge; G2532 and G2730 he shall dwell G1563 there G2193 until G302 whenever G599 [⁴should die G3588 ¹the G2409 ³priest G3588   G3173 ²great], G3739 whom G5548 they anointed G1473 him G3588   G1637 [³oil G3588 ¹with the G39 ²holy].

  26 G1437 But if G1161   G1841 by an exit G1831 [³should come forth from G3588 ¹the one G5407 ²man-slaying] G3588 the G3725 borders G3588 of the G4172 city G1519 in G3739 which G2703 he took refuge G1563 there,

  27 G2532 and G2147 [⁴should find G1473 ⁵him G3588 ¹the one G70.4 ²acting as next of kin G3588   G129 ³for blood] G1854 outside G3588 the G3725 borders G3588 of the G4172 city G2707.1 of his refuge, G1473   G2532 and G5407 [⁴should slaughter G3588 ¹the one G70.4 ²acting as next of kin G3588   G129 ³for blood] G3588 the G5407 one man-slaying, G3756 [²not G1777 ³liable G1510.2.3 ¹is he]?

  28 G1722 For in G1063   G3588 the G4172 city G3588   G2707.1 of his refuge G1473   G2730 let him dwell G2193 until G599 [⁴should die G3588   G2409 ³priest G3588 ¹the G3173 ²great]! G2532 And G3326 after G3588 the G599 dying G3588 of the G2409 [²priest G3588   G3173 ¹great] G1879.1 [³will be able to return G3588 ¹the one G5407 ²man-slaying] G1519 unto G3588 the G1093 land G3588   G2697 of his possession. G1473  

  29 G2532 And G1510.8.3 these things will be G3778   G1473 to you G1519 for G1345 an ordinance G2917 of judgment G1519 unto G3588   G1074 your generations G1473   G1722 in G3956 all G3588   G2733 your dwellings. G1473  

  30 G3956 Every one G3960 striking G5590 a soul, G1223 with G3144 witnesses, G5407 you shall slaughter G3588 the G5407 one man-slaying; G2532 and G3144 [²witness G1520 ¹one] G3756 shall not G3140 witness G1909 for G5590 a soul G599 to die.

  31 G2532 And G3756 you shall not G2983 take G3083 ransoms G4012 for G5590 a soul G3844 from G3588 the one G5407 murdering -- G3588 the G1777 [²liable G1510.6 ¹one being] G337 is to be done away with, G2288 for unto death G1063   G2289 he shall be put to death.

  32 G2532 And G3756 you shall not G2983 take G3083 ransoms G3588 for the G5343 one fleeing G1519 into G4172 a city G3588 of the G5435.5 places of refuge, G3588   G3825 to again G2730 dwell G1909 in G3588 the G1093 land, G2193 until G302 whenever G599 [⁴should die G3588 ¹the G2409 ³priest G3588   G3173 ²great].

  33 G2532 And G3766.2 in no way G5407.1 should you pollute with murder G3588 the G1093 land G1909 upon G3739 which G1473 you G2730 dwell G1909 upon G1473 it; G3588   G1063 for G129 this blood G3778   G5407.1 pollutes [³by murder G3588 ¹the G1093 ²land], G2532 and G3756 [³shall not G1837.2 ⁴be atoned G3588 ¹the G1093 ²land] G575 from G3588 the G129 blood G3588   G1632 having been poured out G1909 upon G1473 it, G235 but G1909 it shall be upon G3588 the G129 blood G3588 of the G1632 one pouring it out.

  34 G2532 And G3756 you shall not G3392 defile G3588 the G1093 land G1909 upon G3739 which G2730 you dwell G1909 upon G1473 it, G1909 of G3739 which G1473 I G2681 should encamp G1722 among G1473 you. G1473 For I G1063   G1510.2.1 am G2962 the lord G2681 encamping G1722 in G3319 the midst G3588 of the G5207 sons G* of Israel.
