ABU(i)
And they come to him, bringing one that was palsied, borne by four.
And not being able to come near him, on account of the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and having broken it up, they let down the bed whereon the palsied man lay.
And Jesus, seeing their faith, says to the palsied man: Child, thy sins are forgiven.
But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts:
Why does this man speak thus? He blasphemes. Who can forgive sins but one, God?
And Jesus, immediately perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them: Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Which is easier, to say to the palsied man, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (he says to the palsied man,)
I say to thee, arise, take up thy bed, and go to thy house.
