Nehemiah 9:27-37 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried to you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your manifold mercies you gave them saviors, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

28 H5117 But after they had rest, H6213 they did H7451 evil H7725 again H6440 before H5800 you: therefore left H3027 you them in the land H341 of their enemies, H7287 so that they had the dominion H7725 over them: yet when they returned, H2199 and cried H8085 to you, you heard H8064 them from heaven; H7227 and many H6256 times H5337 did you deliver H7356 them according to your mercies;

29 H5749 And testified H7725 against them, that you might bring H7725 them again H8451 to your law: H2102 yet they dealt proudly, H8085 and listened H4687 not to your commandments, H2398 but sinned H4941 against your judgments, H834 (which H120 if a man H6213 do, H2421 he shall live H5414 in them;) and withdrew H5437 H3802 the shoulder, H7185 and hardened H6203 their neck, H8085 and would not hear.

30 H7227 Yet many H8141 years H4900 did you forbear H5749 them, and testified H7307 against them by your spirit H5030 in your prophets: H238 yet would they not give ear: H5414 therefore gave H3027 you them into the hand H5971 of the people H776 of the lands.

31 H7227 Nevertheless for your great H7356 mercies’ H3615 sake you did not utterly consume H3808 them, nor H5800 forsake H2587 them; for you are a gracious H7349 and merciful H410 God.

32 H6258 Now H430 therefore, our God, H1419 the great, H1368 the mighty, H3372 and the terrible H410 God, H8104 who keep H1285 covenant H2617 and mercy, H3605 let not all H8513 the trouble H4591 seem H4591 little H6440 before H4672 you, that has come H4428 on us, on our kings, H8269 on our princes, H3548 and on our priests, H5030 and on our prophets, H1 and on our fathers, H3605 and on all H5971 your people, H3117 since the time H4428 of the kings H804 of Assyria H2088 to this H3117 day.

33 H6662 However, you are just H3605 in all H935 that is brought H6213 on us; for you have done H571 right, H7561 but we have done wickedly:

34 H3808 Neither H4428 have our kings, H8269 our princes, H3548 our priests, H3808 nor H1 our fathers, H6213 kept H8451 your law, H3808 nor H7181 listened H4687 to your commandments H5715 and your testimonies, H834 with which H5749 you did testify against them.

35 H5647 For they have not served H4438 you in their kingdom, H7227 and in your great H2898 goodness H5414 that you gave H7342 them, and in the large H8082 and fat H776 land H834 which H5414 you gave H6440 before H3808 them, neither H7725 turned H7451 they from their wicked H4611 works.

36 H2009 Behold, H5650 we are servants H3117 this day, H776 and for the land H5414 that you gave H1 to our fathers H398 to eat H6529 the fruit H2898 thereof and the good H2009 thereof, behold, H5650 we are servants in it:

37 H7235 And it yields H7235 much H8393 increase H4428 to the kings H834 whom H5414 you have set H5921 over H2403 us because of our sins: H4910 also they have dominion H5921 over H1472 our bodies, H5921 and over H929 our cattle, H7522 at their pleasure, H1419 and we are in great H6869 distress.
