1 Samuel 15:14-24

  14 H8050 And Samuel H559 said, H6963 What meaneth then this bleating H6629 of the sheep H241 in mine ears, H6963 and the lowing H1241 of the oxen H8085 which I hear?
  15 H7586 And Saul H559 said, H935 They have brought H6003 them from the Amalekites: H5971 for the people H2550 spared H4315 the best H6629 of the sheep H1241 and of the oxen, H2076 to sacrifice H3068 unto Jehovah H430 thy God; H3498 and the rest H2763 we have utterly destroyed.
  16 H8050 Then Samuel H559 said H7586 unto Saul, H7503 Stay, H5046 and I will tell H3068 thee what Jehovah H1696 hath said H3915 to me this night. H1696 And he said H1696 unto him, Say on.
  17 H8050 And Samuel H559 said, H6996 Though thou wast little H5869 in thine own sight, H7218 wast thou not made the head H7626 of the tribes H3478 of Israel? H3068 And Jehovah H4886 anointed H4428 thee king H3478 over Israel;
  18 H3068 and Jehovah H7971 sent H1870 thee on a journey, H559 and said, H3212 Go, H2763 and utterly destroy H2400 the sinners H6002 the Amalekites, H3898 and fight H3615 against them until they be consumed.
  19 H8085 Wherefore then didst thou not obey H6963 the voice H3068 of Jehovah, H5860 but didst fly H7998 upon the spoil, H6213 and didst H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of Jehovah?
  20 H7586 And Saul H559 said H8050 unto Samuel, H8085 Yea, I have obeyed H6963 the voice H3068 of Jehovah, H3212 and have gone H1870 the way H3068 which Jehovah H7971 sent H935 me, and have brought H90 Agag H4428 the king H6002 of Amalek, H2763 and have utterly destroyed H6002 the Amalekites.
  21 H5971 But the people H3947 took H7998 of the spoil, H6629 sheep H1241 and oxen, H7225 the chief H2764 of the devoted H2076 things, to sacrifice H3068 unto Jehovah H430 thy God H1537 in Gilgal.
  22 H8050 And Samuel H559 said, H3068 Hath Jehovah H2656 as great delight H5930 in burnt-offerings H2077 and sacrifices, H8085 as in obeying H6963 the voice H3068 of Jehovah? H8085 Behold, to obey H2896 is better H2077 than sacrifice, H8085 and to hearken H2459 than the fat H352 of rams.
  23 H4805 For rebellion H2403 is as the sin H7081 of witchcraft, H6484 and stubbornness H8655 is as idolatry H205 and teraphim. H3988 Because thou hast rejected H1697 the word H3068 of Jehovah, H3988 he hath also rejected H4428 thee from being king.
  24 H7586 And Saul H559 said H8050 unto Samuel, H2398 I have sinned; H5674 for I have transgressed H6310 the commandment H3068 of Jehovah, H1697 and thy words, H3372 because I feared H5971 the people, H8085 and obeyed H6963 their voice.
