Job 16

IYOB ANSWERS
And Iyob answers and says, 2 I hear many such as these; sighers of toil - all of you. 3 Is there an end to words of wind/spirit? What reinforces you to answer? 4 I also word as you; O that your soul were in the stead of my soul to charm utterances against you and shake my head at you. 5 I strengthen you by my mouth that the moving of my lips spare you. 6 Though I word, my pain is not spared; and though I cease, what goes? 7 But now I weary; you desolate all my witnesses; 8 you pluck me for a witness; my emaciation rises within me and answers to my face: 9 in his wrath, my opponent tears me; he gnashes on me with his teeth; my tribulator sharpens his eyes on me; 10 they gape on me with their mouth; they smite me on the cheek reproachfully; they fulfill against me. 11 El shuts me to the pervert and hurls me to the hands of the wicked. 12 I am serene, and he breaks me; and he takes me by my neck and shatters me; he raises me for his target; 13 his archers surround me; he cleaves my reins and spares not; he pours out my bitters on the earth; 14 he breaches me at the face of breach on breach; he runs on me as the mighty. 15 I sew saq on my skin and exploit my horn in the dust; 16 my face foams with weeping and on my eyelids is the shadow of death; 17 no violence is in my palms; and my prayer is pure. 18 O earth, cover not my blood that there be no place for my cry. 19 Also now, behold, my witness in the heavens; my witness in the heights. 20 My friends scorn me; but my eye drips to Elohah. 21 O that one reprove for the mighty with Elohah as a son of humanity for his friend! 22 When years of number come, I go the way of no return.
