Joshua 9:18-21 ולא them not, הכום smote בני And the children ישׂראל of Israel כי because נשׁבעו had sworn להם נשׂיאי the princes העדה of the congregation ביהוה unto them by the LORD אלהי God ישׂראל of Israel. וילנו murmured כל And all העדה the congregation על against הנשׂיאים׃ the princes.

19 H559 ויאמרו said H3605 כל But all H5387 הנשׂיאים the princes H413 אל unto H3605 כל all H5712 העדה the congregation, H587 אנחנו We H7650 נשׁבענו have sworn H3068 להם ביהוה unto them by the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H6258 ועתה now H3808 לא not H3201 נוכל therefore we may H5060 לנגע׃ touch

20 H2063 זאת This H6213 נעשׂה we will do H2421 להם והחיה H853 אותם H3808 ולא lest H1961 יהיה be H5921 עלינו upon H7110 קצף wrath H5921 על us, because of H7621 השׁבועה the oath H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבענו׃ we swore

21 H559 ויאמרו said H413 אליהם unto H5387 הנשׂיאים And the princes H2421 יחיו them, Let them live; H1961 ויהיו but let them be H2404 חטבי hewers H6086 עצים of wood H7579 ושׁאבי and drawers H4325 מים of water H3605 לכל unto all H5712 העדה the congregation; H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דברו had promised H5387 להם הנשׂיאים׃ the princes
