Judges 3:1-4 ואלה Now these הגוים the nations אשׁר which הניח יהוה the LORD לנסות to prove בם את ישׂראל Israel את כל by them, as many אשׁר by them, as many לא as had not ידעו known את כל all מלחמות the wars כנען׃ of Canaan;

2 H7535 רק Only H4616 למען that H1847 דעת H1755 דרות the generations H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3925 ללמדם to teach H4421 מלחמה them war, H7535 רק at the least H834 אשׁר such as H6440 לפנים before H3808 לא nothing H3045 ידעום׃ might know,

3 H2568 חמשׁת five H5633 סרני lords H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines, H3605 וכל and all H3669 הכנעני the Canaanites, H6722 והצידני and the Sidonians, H2340 והחוי and the Hivites H3427 ישׁב that dwelt H2022 הר in mount H3844 הלבנון Lebanon, H2022 מהר from mount H1179 בעל חרמון Baal-hermon H5704 עד unto H935 לבוא the entering in H2574 חמת׃ of Hamath.

4 H1961 ויהיו And they were H5254 לנסות to prove H853 בם את H3478 ישׂראל Israel H3045 לדעת by them, to know H8085 הישׁמעו whether they would hearken H853 את H4687 מצות unto the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה he commanded H853 את H1 אבותם their fathers H3027 ביד by the hand H4872 משׁה׃ of Moses.
