Ezekiel 15 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying ,

2 H1121 Son H120 of man H1612 , What is the vine H6086 tree H6086 more than any tree H2156 , or than a branch H6086 which is among the trees H3293 of the forest?

3 H6086 Shall wood H3947 be taken [H8714] H6213 thereof to do [H8800] H4399 any work H3947 ? or will men take [H8799] H3489 a pin H8518 of it to hang [H8800] H3627 any vessel thereon?

4 H5414 Behold, it is cast [H8738] H784 into the fire H402 for fuel H784 ; the fire H398 devoureth [H8804] H8147 both H7098 the ends H8432 of it, and the midst H2787 of it is burned [H8737] H6743 . Is it meet [H8799] H4399 for any work?

5 H8549 Behold, when it was whole H6213 , it was meet [H8735] H4399 for no work H6213 : how much less shall it be meet [H8738] H4399 yet for any work H784 , when the fire H398 hath devoured [H8804] H2787 it, and it is burned [H8735] ?

6 H559 Therefore thus saith [H8804] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H1612 ; As the vine H6086 tree H6086 among the trees H3293 of the forest H5414 , which I have given [H8804] H784 to the fire H402 for fuel H5414 , so will I give [H8804] H3427 the inhabitants [H8802] H3389 of Jerusalem.

7 H5414 And I will set [H8804] H6440 my face H3318 against them; they shall go out [H8804] H784 from one fire H784 , and another fire H398 shall devour [H8799] H3045 them; and ye shall know [H8804] H3068 that I am the LORD H7760 , when I set [H8800] H6440 my face against them.

8 H5414 And I will make [H8804] H776 the land H8077 desolate H4603 , because they have committed [H8804] H4604 a trespass H5002 , saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD.

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, ² Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest? ³ Shall wood be taken thereof to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon? ⁴ Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel: the fire hath devoured both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned; is it profitable for any work? ⁵ Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned, shall it yet be meet for any work? ⁶ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. ⁷ And I will set my face against them; they shall go forth from the fire, but the fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them. ⁸ And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
