Matthew 24:3-14

MLV(i) 3 Now when he sat upon the Mountain of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your presence and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said to them, Beware, do not let anyone mislead you. 5 For many will be coming in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and will be misleading many. 6 But you are about to hear of wars and reports of wars; behold, do not alarmed; for it is essential for all these things to happen, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will arise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes in different places. 8 But all these things are the beginning of travail. 9 Then they will be giving you up to affliction and will be killing you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of my name. 10 And then many will be offended, and will be giving up one another and will be hating one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and will be misleading many. 12 And because lawlessness will be multiplied, the love of the many will be cold. 13 But he who has endured to the end, this one will be saved. 14 And this good-news of the kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited-earth, for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will be coming.
