Galatians 3:6-14

Thomson(i) 6 As Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness, 7 know therefore, that they who are believers are children of Abraham. 8 The scripture indeed, foreseeing that God would justify the nations for belief, predicted to Abraham the glad tidings [in these words] "By thee all the nations shall be blessed." 9 So that they who are believers are blessed with the believing Abraham. 10 For as many as are of works of law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed is every one who will not persevere in all that. are written in the book of the law to do them." 11 And that none is justified by law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live because of faith." 12 Now the law is not because of belief, but, "The man who doth these things shall live by them." 13 From this curse of the law Christ hath redeemed us, being made a curse for us; [for it is written, "Cursed, is every one who is suspended on a cross,"] 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the nations by Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the spirit by means of this belief.
