Galatians 3:6-14 As Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness, 7 know therefore, that they who are believers are children of Abraham.

Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁶ As Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness, 7 know therefore, that they who are believers are children of Abraham. ⁸ The scripture indeed, foreseeing that God would justify the nations for belief, predicted to Abraham the glad tidings [in these words] "By thee all the nations shall be blessed." ⁹ So that they who are believers are blessed with the believing Abraham. ¹⁰ For as many as are of works of law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed is every one who will not persevere in all that. are written in the book of the law to do them." ¹¹ And that none is justified by law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live because of faith." ¹² Now the law is not because of belief, but, "The man who doth these things shall live by them." ¹³ From this curse of the law Christ hath redeemed us, being made a curse for us; [for it is written, "Cursed, is every one who is suspended on a cross,"] ¹⁴ that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the nations by Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the spirit by means of this belief.
