² That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

²¹ Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

⁵⁰ For whoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother.

³¹ Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, That the tax gatherers and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you.

³⁵ For whoever shall do the will of God is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,

¹³ Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

¹⁷ If any man is willing to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself.

² By no means. How shall we, who are dead to sin, live in it any longer?

¹¹ In the same way, consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

⁴ Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ; so that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead that we might bring forth fruit for God.

² And do not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.

⁷ For none of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself.

¹⁵ And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.

¹⁹ For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live to God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

³ Among them we all lived in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, like the others.

¹⁷ This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as other Gentiles walk, in the futility of their minds,

²² Then put off the old man, which belongs to your former life, which is corrupt through deceitful lusts; ²³ And be renewed in the spirit of your minds; ²⁴ And put on the new man, who, in the likeness of God, is created in true righteousness and holiness.

⁷ Therefore, do not be partakers with them. ⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;

¹⁷ Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

⁶ Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁹ For this reason, since the day we heard it, we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

⁷ And in them you also walked at one time, when you lived in them. ⁸ But now put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy speech from your mouth.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that you may stand firm and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹⁸ In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

³ For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaves to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy; hated, and hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, ⁵ He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit; ⁶ Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; ⁷ That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life. ⁸ This is a faithful saying; and I want you to affirm these things constantly, that those who have believed in God might be careful to engage in good works. These things are good and profitable for men.

²¹ Equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ By his own will he brought us forth with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

¹⁴ Live as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the lusts of your former ignorance:

¹ Therefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all kinds of slander,

¹⁴ Or to governors, as to those who are sent by him to punish evildoers, and to praise those who do well. ¹⁵ For this is the will of God, that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men:

¹⁷ And the world passes away, along with its lusts: but he who does the will of God abides forever.
