Joshua 3:7-17

  7 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H3091 to Joshua, H3117 This day H2490 [H8686] will I begin H1431 [H8763] to magnify H5869 thee in the eyes H3478 of all Israel, H3045 [H8799] that they may know H4872 that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

  8 H6680 [H8762] And thou shalt command H3548 the priests H5375 [H8802] that bear H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant, H559 [H8800] saying, H935 [H8800] When ye have come H7097 to the brink H4325 of the water H3383 of Jordan, H5975 [H8799] ye shall stand still H3383 in Jordan.

  9 H3091 And Joshua H559 [H8799] said H1121 to the sons H3478 of Israel, H5066 [H8798] Come here, H8085 [H8798] and hear H1697 the words H3068 of the LORD H430 your God.

  10 H3091 And Joshua H559 [H8799] said, H3045 [H8799] By this ye shall know H2416 that the living H410 God H7130 is among H3423 [H8687] you, and that he will without fail H3423 [H8686] drive out H6440 from the face of H3669 you the Canaanites, H2850 and the Hittites, H2340 and the Hivites, H6522 and the Perizzites, H1622 and the Girgashites, H567 and the Amorites, H2983 and the Jebusites.

  11 H727 Behold, the ark H1285 of the covenant H113 of the Sovereign H776 of all the earth H5674 [H8802] passeth over H6440 at the face of H3383 you into Jordan.

  12 H3947 [H8798] Now therefore take H8147 H6240 for yourselves twelve H376 men H7626 out of the tribes H3478 of Israel, H259 out of every H7626 tribe H376 a man.

  13 H3709 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles H7272 of the feet H3548 of the priests H5375 [H8802] that bear H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD, H113 the Sovereign H776 of all the earth, H5117 [H8800] shall rest H4325 in the waters H3383 of Jordan, H4325 that the waters H3383 of Jordan H3772 [H8735] shall be cut off H4325 from the waters H3381 [H8802] that come down H4605 from above; H5975 [H8799] and they shall stand H259 in an H5067 heap.

  14 H5971 And it came to pass, when the people H5265 [H8800] departed H168 from their tents, H5674 [H8800] to pass over H3383 Jordan, H3548 and the priests H5375 [H8802] bearing H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant H6440 at the face of H5971 the people;

  15 H5375 [H8802] And as they that bore H727 the ark H935 [H8800] had come H3383 to Jordan, H7272 and the feet H3548 of the priests H5375 [H8802] that bore H727 the ark H2881 [H8738] were dipped H7097 in the brim H4325 of the water, H3383 (for Jordan H4390 [H8804] overfloweth H1415 all its banks H3117 all the time H7105 of harvest,)

  16 H4325 That the waters H3381 [H8802] which came down H4605 from above H5975 [H8799] stood H6965 [H8804] and rose up H259 in an H5067 heap H3966 very H7368 [H8687] far H5892 from the city H121 Adam, H6654 that is beside H6891 Zaretan: H3381 [H8802] and those that came down H3220 toward the sea H6160 of the plain, H4417 even the salt H3220 sea, H8552 [H8804] failed, H3772 [H8738] and were cut off: H5971 and the people H5674 [H8804] passed over H3405 opposite Jericho.
