  10 H559 ואמרה And I said H589 לכם אני unto you, I H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God; H3808 לא not H3372 תיראו fear H853 את   H430 אלהי the gods H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר in whose H859 אתם ye H3427 יושׁבים dwell: H776 בארצם land H3808 ולא but ye have not H8085 שׁמעתם obeyed H6963 בקולי׃ my voice.

  12 H7200 וירא appeared H413 אליו unto H4397 מלאך And the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H559 ויאמר him, and said H413 אליו unto H3068 יהוה him, The LORD H5973 עמך with H1368 גבור thee, thou mighty man H2428 החיל׃ of valor.

  14 H6437 ויפן looked H413 אליו upon H3068 יהוה And the LORD H559 ויאמר him, and said, H1980 לך Go in H3581 בכחך thy might, H2088 זה this H3467 והושׁעת and thou shalt save H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H3709 מכף from the hand H4080 מדין of the Midianites: H3808 הלא have not H7971 שׁלחתיך׃ I sent

  15 H559 ויאמר And he said H413 אליו unto H994 בי him, Oh H136 אדני my Lord, H4100 במה wherewith H3467 אושׁיע shall I save H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel? H2009 הנה behold, H504 אלפי my family H1800 הדל poor H4519 במנשׁה in Manasseh, H595 ואנכי and I H6810 הצעיר the least H1004 בבית house. H1 אבי׃ in my father's

  16 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H3068 יהוה And the LORD H3588 כי him, Surely H1961 אהיה I will be H5973 עמך with H5221 והכית thee, and thou shalt smite H853 את   H4080 מדין the Midianites H376 כאישׁ man. H259 אחד׃ as one

  17 H559 ויאמר And he said H413 אליו unto H518 אם him, If H4994 נא now H4672 מצאתי I have found H2580 חן grace H5869 בעיניך in thy sight, H6213 ועשׂית then show H226 לי אות me a sign H859 שׁאתה that thou H1696 מדבר talkest H5973 עמי׃ with

  18 H408 אל not H4994 נא I pray thee, H4185 תמשׁ Depart H2088 מזה hence, H5704 עד until H935 באי I come H413 אליך unto H3318 והצאתי thee, and bring forth H853 את   H4503 מנחתי my present, H3240 והנחתי   H6440 לפניך before H559 ויאמר thee. And he said, H595 אנכי I H3427 אשׁב will tarry H5704 עד until H7725 שׁובך׃ thou come again.

  20 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H4397 מלאך And the angel H430 האלהים of God H3947 קח him, Take H853 את   H1320 הבשׂר the flesh H853 ואת   H4682 המצות and the unleavened cakes, H3240 והנח   H413 אל upon H5553 הסלע rock, H1975 הלז this H853 ואת   H4839 המרק the broth. H8210 שׁפוך and pour out H6213 ויעשׂ And he did H3651 כן׃ so.

  22 H7200 וירא perceived H1439 גדעון And when Gideon H3588 כי that H4397 מלאך an angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H1931 הוא he H559 ויאמר said, H1439 גדעון Gideon H162 אהה Alas, H136 אדני O Lord H3069 יהוה GOD! H3588 כי for H5921 על because H3651 כן because H7200 ראיתי I have seen H4397 מלאך an angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H6440 פנים face H413 אל to H6440 פנים׃ face.

  23 H559 ויאמר said H3068 לו יהוה And the LORD H7965 שׁלום unto him, Peace H408 לך אל not: H3372 תירא unto thee; fear H3808 לא thou shalt not H4191 תמות׃ die.

  25 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H3915 בלילה night, H1931 ההוא the same H559 ויאמר said H3068 לו יהוה that the LORD H3947 קח unto him, Take H853 את   H6499 פר young bullock, H7794 השׁור young bullock, H834 אשׁר that H1 לאביך thy father's H6499 ופר bullock H8145 השׁני even the second H7651 שׁבע of seven H8141 שׁנים years H2040 והרסת old, and throw down H853 את   H4196 מזבח the altar H1168 הבעל of Baal H834 אשׁר that H1 לאביך thy father H853 ואת   H842 האשׁרה the grove H834 אשׁר   H5921 עליו by H3772 תכרת׃ hath, and cut down

  29 H559 ויאמרו And they said H376 אישׁ one H413 אל to H7453 רעהו another, H4310 מי Who H6213 עשׂה hath done H1697 הדבר thing? H2088 הזה this H1875 וידרשׁו And when they inquired H1245 ויבקשׁו and asked, H559 ויאמרו they said, H1439 גדעון Gideon H1121 בן the son H3101 יואשׁ of Joash H6213 עשׂה hath done H1697 הדבר thing. H2088 הזה׃ this

  30 H559 ויאמרו said H376 אנשׁי Then the men H5892 העיר of the city H413 אל unto H3101 יואשׁ Joash, H3318 הוצא Bring out H853 את   H1121 בנך thy son, H4191 וימת that he may die: H3588 כי because H5422 נתץ he hath cast down H853 את   H4196 מזבח the altar H1168 הבעל of Baal, H3588 וכי and because H3772 כרת he hath cut down H842 האשׁרה the grove H834 אשׁר that H5921 עליו׃ by

  31 H559 ויאמר said H3101 יואשׁ And Joash H3605 לכל unto all H834 אשׁר that H5975 עמדו stood H5921 עליו against H859 האתם him, Will ye H7378 תריבון plead H1168 לבעל for Baal? H518 אם if H859 אתם will ye H3467 תושׁיעון save H853 אותו   H834 אשׁר him? he that H7378 יריב will plead H4191 לו יומת for him, let him be put to death H5704 עד whilst H1242 הבקר morning: H518 אם   H430 אלהים a god, H1931 הוא he H7378 ירב let him plead H3588 לו כי for himself, because H5422 נתץ hath cast down H853 את   H4196 מזבחו׃ his altar.

  32 H7121 ויקרא he called H3117 לו ביום day H1931 ההוא Therefore on that H3378 ירבעל him Jerubbaal, H559 לאמר saying, H7378 ירב plead H1168 בו הבעל Let Baal H3588 כי against him, because H5422 נתץ he hath thrown down H853 את   H4196 מזבחו׃ his altar.

  36 H559 ויאמר said H1439 גדעון And Gideon H413 אל unto H430 האלהים God, H518 אם If H3426 ישׁך   H3467 מושׁיע thouwilt save H3027 בידי by mine hand, H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דברת׃ thou hast said,

  39 H559 ויאמר said H1439 גדעון And Gideon H413 אל unto H430 האלהים God, H408 אל Let not H2734 יחר be hot H639 אפך thine anger H1696 בי ואדברה against me and I will speak H389 אך but H6471 הפעם this once: H5254 אנסה let me prove, H4994 נא I pray thee, H7535 רק but H6471 הפעם this once H1492 בגזה with the fleece; H1961 יהי be H4994 נא let it now H2721 חרב dry H413 אל upon H1492 הגזה the fleece, H905 לבדה only H5921 ועל and upon H3605 כל all H776 הארץ the ground H1961 יהיה let there be H2919 טל׃ dew.

  2 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H1439 גדעון Gideon, H7227 רב thee too many H5971 העם The people H834 אשׁר that H854 אתך with H5414 מתתי for me to give H853 את   H4080 מדין the Midianites H3027 בידם into their hands, H6435 פן lest H6286 יתפאר vaunt themselves H5921 עלי against H3478 ישׂראל Israel H559 לאמר me, saying, H3027 ידי Mine own hand H3467 הושׁיעה׃ hath saved

  3 H6258 ועתה   H7121 קרא proclaim H4994 נא therefore go to, H241 באזני in the ears H5971 העם of the people, H559 לאמר saying, H4310 מי Whosoever H3373 ירא fearful H2730 וחרד and afraid, H7725 ישׁב let him return H6852 ויצפר and depart early H2022 מהר from mount H1568 הגלעד Gilead. H7725 וישׁב And there returned H4480 מן from mount H5971 העם the people H6242 עשׂרים twenty H8147 ושׁנים and two H505 אלף thousand; H6235 ועשׂרת ten H505 אלפים thousand. H7604 נשׁארו׃ and there remained

  4 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H1439 גדעון Gideon, H5750 עוד yet H5971 העם The people H7227 רב many; H3381 הורד   H853 אותם   H413 אל unto H4325 המים the water, H6884 ואצרפנו and I will try H8033 לך שׁם them for thee there: H1961 והיה and it shall be, H834 אשׁר of whom H559 אמר I say H413 אליך unto H2088 זה thee, This H1980 ילך shall go H854 אתך with H1931 הוא thee, the same H1980 ילך shall go H854 אתך with H3605 וכל thee; and of whomsoever H834 אשׁר thee; and of whomsoever H559 אמר I say H413 אליך unto H2088 זה thee, This H3808 לא shall not H1980 ילך go H5973 עמך with H1931 הוא thee, the same H3808 לא shall not H1980 ילך׃ go.

  5 H3381 ויורד So he brought down H853 את   H5971 העם the people H413 אל unto H4325 המים the water: H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה and the LORD H413 אל unto H1439 גדעון Gideon, H3605 כל Every one H834 אשׁר that H3952 ילק lappeth H3956 בלשׁונו with his tongue, H4480 מן of H4325 המים the water H834 כאשׁר as H3952 ילק lappeth, H3611 הכלב a dog H3322 תציג him shalt thou set H853 אותו   H905 לבד by himself; H3605 וכל likewise every one H834 אשׁר that H3766 יכרע boweth down H5921 על upon H1290 ברכיו his knees H8354 לשׁתות׃ to drink.

  7 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H1439 גדעון Gideon, H7969 בשׁלשׁ By the three H3967 מאות hundred H376 האישׁ men H3952 המלקקים that lapped H3467 אושׁיע will I save H853 אתכם   H5414 ונתתי you, and deliver H853 את   H4080 מדין the Midianites H3027 בידך into thine hand: H3605 וכל and let all H5971 העם the people H1980 ילכו go H376 אישׁ every man H4725 למקמו׃ unto his place.

  9 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H3915 בלילה night, H1931 ההוא the same H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H3068 יהוה that the LORD H6965 קום him, Arise, H3381 רד get thee down H4264 במחנה unto the host; H3588 כי for H5414 נתתיו I have delivered H3027 בידך׃ it into thine hand.

  13 H935 ויבא was come, H1439 גדעון And when Gideon H2009 והנה behold, H376 אישׁ a man H5608 מספר that told H7453 לרעהו unto his fellow, H2472 חלום a dream H559 ויאמר and said, H2009 הנה Behold, H2472 חלום a dream, H2492 חלמתי I dreamed H2009 והנה and, lo, H6742 צלול a cake H3899 לחם bread H8184 שׂערים of barley H2015 מתהפך tumbled H4264 במחנה into the host H4080 מדין of Midian, H935 ויבא and came H5704 עד unto H168 האהל a tent, H5221 ויכהו and smote H5307 ויפל it that it fell, H2015 ויהפכהו and overturned H4605 למעלה and overturned H5307 ונפל lay along.   14 H6030 ויען answered H7453 רעהו And his fellow H559 ויאמר and said, H369 אין nothing else H2063 זאת This H1115 בלתי save H518 אם save H2719 חרב the sword H1439 גדעון of Gideon H1121 בן the son H3101 יואשׁ of Joash, H376 אישׁ a man H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H5414 נתן delivered H430 האלהים hath God H3027 בידו into his hand H853 את   H4080 מדין Midian, H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H4264 המחנה׃ the host.

  15 H1961 ויהי And it was H8085 כשׁמע heard H1439 גדעון when Gideon H853 את   H4557 מספר the telling H2472 החלום of the dream, H853 ואת   H7667 שׁברו and the interpretation H7812 וישׁתחו thereof, that he worshiped, H7725 וישׁב and returned H413 אל into H4264 מחנה the host H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H559 ויאמר and said, H6965 קומו Arise; H3588 כי for H5414 נתן hath delivered H3068 יהוה the LORD H3027 בידכם into your hand H853 את   H4264 מחנה the host H4080 מדין׃ of Midian.
