1 A songe of the steares of Dauid. If the Lorde hym selfe had not bene of our syde (nowe maye Israel saye) If the Lord him selfe had not bene of our syde when men rose vp agaynst vs.
2 They had swalowed vs vp quycke, when they were so wrathfully displeased at vs.
3 Yee, the waters had drowned vs, and the streame had gone ouer oure soule.
4 The depe waters of the proude had gone euen ouer our soule.
5 But praysed be the Lorde, whych hath not geuen vs ouer for a praye vnto their teeth.
