Jeremiah 38:17-23 ויאמר Then said ירמיהו Jeremiah אל unto צדקיהו Zedekiah, כה Thus אמר saith יהוה the LORD, אלהי the God צבאות of hosts, אלהי the God ישׂראל of Israel; אם If יצא thou wilt assuredly go forth תצא thou wilt assuredly go forth אל unto שׂרי princes, מלך the king בבל of Babylon's וחיתה shall live, נפשׁך then thy soul והעיר city הזאת and this לא shall not תשׂרף be burned באשׁ with fire; וחיתה shalt live, אתה and thou וביתך׃ and thine house:

17 H559 ויאמר Then said H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H413 אל unto H6667 צדקיהו Zedekiah, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H430 אלהי the God H6635 צבאות of hosts, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H518 אם If H3318 יצא thou wilt assuredly go forth H3318 תצא thou wilt assuredly go forth H413 אל unto H8269 שׂרי princes, H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon's H2421 וחיתה shall live, H5315 נפשׁך then thy soul H5892 והעיר city H2063 הזאת and this H3808 לא shall not H8313 תשׂרף be burned H784 באשׁ with fire; H2421 וחיתה shalt live, H859 אתה and thou H1004 וביתך׃ and thine house:

18 H518 ואם But if H3808 לא thou wilt not H3318 תצא go forth H413 אל to H8269 שׂרי princes, H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon's H5414 ונתנה be given H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת then shall this H3027 ביד into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים of the Chaldeans, H8313 ושׂרפוה and they shall burn H784 באשׁ it with fire, H859 ואתה and thou H3808 לא shalt not H4422 תמלט escape H3027 מידם׃ out of their hand.

19 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך the king H6667 צדקיהו And Zedekiah H413 אל unto H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah, H589 אני I H1672 דאג am afraid of H853 את H3064 היהודים the Jews H834 אשׁר that H5307 נפלו are fallen H413 אל to H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans, H6435 פן lest H5414 יתנו they deliver H853 אתי H3027 בידם me into their hand, H5953 והתעללו׃ and they mock

20 H559 ויאמר said, H3414 ירמיהו But Jeremiah H3808 לא They shall not H5414 יתנו deliver H8085 שׁמע Obey, H4994 נא I beseech thee, H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H834 לאשׁר which H589 אני I H1696 דבר speak H413 אליך unto H3190 וייטב thee: so it shall be well H2421 לך ותחי shall live. H5315 נפשׁך׃ unto thee, and thy soul

21 H518 ואם But if H3986 מאן refuse H859 אתה thou H3318 לצאת to go forth, H2088 זה this H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר that H7200 הראני hath showed H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD

22 H2009 והנה And, behold, H3605 כל all H802 הנשׁים the women H834 אשׁר that H7604 נשׁארו are left H1004 בבית house H4428 מלך in the king H3063 יהודה of Judah's H3318 מוצאות brought forth H413 אל to H8269 שׂרי princes, H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon's H2007 והנה and those H559 אמרות shall say, H5496 הסיתוך have set H3201 ויכלו thee on, and have prevailed H376 לך אנשׁי H7965 שׁלמך H2883 הטבעו are sunk H1206 בבץ in the mire, H7272 רגלך against thee: thy feet H5472 נסגו they are turned away H268 אחור׃ back.

23 H853 ואת H3605 כל all H802 נשׁיך thy wives H853 ואת H1121 בניך and thy children H3318 מוצאים So they shall bring out H413 אל to H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans: H859 ואתה and thou H3808 לא shalt not H4422 תמלט escape H3027 מידם out of their hand, H3588 כי but H3027 ביד by the hand H4428 מלך of the king H894 בבל of Babylon: H8610 תתפשׂ shalt be taken H853 ואת H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת and thou shalt cause this H8313 תשׂרף to be burned H784 באשׁ׃ with fire.
