Judges 11:5-8 ויהי And it was כאשׁר so, that when נלחמו made war בני the children עמון of Ammon עם against ישׂראל Israel, וילכו went זקני the elders גלעד of Gilead לקחת to fetch את יפתח Jephthah מארץ out of the land טוב׃ of Tob:

5 H1961 ויהי And it was H834 כאשׁר so, that when H3898 נלחמו made war H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H5973 עם against H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H1980 וילכו went H2205 זקני the elders H1568 גלעד of Gilead H3947 לקחת to fetch H853 את H3316 יפתח Jephthah H776 מארץ out of the land H2897 טוב׃ of Tob:

6 H559 ויאמרו And they said H3316 ליפתח unto Jephthah, H1980 לכה Come, H1961 והייתה and be H7101 לנו לקצין our captain, H3898 ונלחמה that we may fight H1121 בבני with the children H5983 עמון׃ of Ammon.

7 H559 ויאמר said H3316 יפתח And Jephthah H2205 לזקני unto the elders H1568 גלעד of Gilead, H3808 הלא Did not H859 אתם ye H8130 שׂנאתם hate H853 אותי H1644 ותגרשׁוני me, and expel H1004 מבית house? H1 אבי me out of my father's H4069 ומדוע and why H935 באתם are ye come H413 אלי unto H6258 עתה me now H834 כאשׁר when H6862 צר׃ ye are in distress?

8 H559 ויאמרו said H2205 זקני And the elders H1568 גלעד of Gilead H413 אל unto H3316 יפתח Jephthah, H3651 לכן Therefore H6258 עתה thee now, H7725 שׁבנו we turn again H413 אליך to H1980 והלכת that thou mayest go H5973 עמנו with H3898 ונלחמת us, and fight H1121 בבני against the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H1961 והיית and be H7218 לנו לראשׁ our head H3605 לכל over all H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H1568 גלעד׃ of Gilead.
