Numbers 17:2-9 דבר Speak אל unto בני the children ישׂראל of Israel, וקח and take מאתם מטה every one of them a rod מטה rods: לבית according to the house אב of fathers, מאת כל all נשׂיאהם their princes לבית according to the house אבתם of their fathers שׁנים twelve עשׂר twelve מטות his rod. אישׁ thou every man's את שׁמו name תכתב write על upon מטהו׃

2 H1696 דבר Speak H413 אל unto H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3947 וקח and take H853 מאתם H4294 מטה every one of them a rod H4294 מטה rods: H1004 לבית according to the house H1 אב of fathers, H853 מאת H3605 כל all H5387 נשׂיאהם their princes H1004 לבית according to the house H1 אבתם of their fathers H8147 שׁנים twelve H6240 עשׂר twelve H4294 מטות his rod. H376 אישׁ thou every man's H853 את H8034 שׁמו name H3789 תכתב write H5921 על upon H4294 מטהו׃

3 H853 ואת H8034 שׁם name H175 אהרן Aaron's H3789 תכתב And thou shalt write H5921 על upon H4294 מטה the rod H3878 לוי of Levi: H3588 כי for H4294 מטה rod H259 אחד one H7218 לראשׁ for the head H1004 בית of the house H1 אבותם׃ of their fathers.

4 H3240 והנחתם H168 באהל in the tabernacle H4150 מועד of the congregation H6440 לפני before H5715 העדות the testimony, H834 אשׁר where H3259 אועד I will meet H8033 לכם שׁמה׃ where

5 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass, H376 האישׁ the man's H834 אשׁר whom H977 אבחר I shall choose, H4294 בו מטהו rod, H6524 יפרח shall blossom: H7918 והשׁכתי and I will make to cease H5921 מעלי from H853 את H8519 תלנות me the murmurings H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר whereby H1992 הם they H3885 מלינם murmur H5921 עליכם׃ against

6 H1696 וידבר spoke H4872 משׁה And Moses H413 אל unto H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5414 ויתנו gave H413 אליו gave H3605 כל and every one H5387 נשׂיאיהם of their princes H4294 מטה him a rod H5387 לנשׂיא apiece, H259 אחד one, H4294 מטה rods: H5387 לנשׂיא for each prince H259 אחד H1004 לבית houses, H1 אבתם according to their fathers' H8147 שׁנים twelve H6240 עשׂר twelve H4294 מטות and the rod H4294 ומטה their rods. H175 אהרן of Aaron H8432 בתוך among H4294 מטותם׃

7 H3240 וינח H4872 משׁה And Moses H853 את H4294 המטת the rods H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD H168 באהל in the tabernacle H5715 העדת׃ of witness.

8 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H4283 ממחרת that on the morrow H935 ויבא went H4872 משׁה Moses H413 אל into H168 אהל the tabernacle H5715 העדות of witness; H2009 והנה and, behold, H6524 פרח was budded, H4294 מטה the rod H175 אהרן of Aaron H1004 לבית for the house H3878 לוי of Levi H3318 ויצא and brought forth H6525 פרח buds, H6692 ויצץ and bloomed H6731 ציץ blossoms, H1580 ויגמל and yielded H8247 שׁקדים׃ almonds.

9 H3318 ויצא brought out H4872 משׁה And Moses H853 את H3605 כל all H4294 המטת the rods H6440 מלפני from before H3069 יהוה H413 אל unto H3605 כל all H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H7200 ויראו and they looked, H3947 ויקחו and took H376 אישׁ every man H4294 מטהו׃ his rod.
