  14 H7971 וישׁלח sent H4872 משׁה And Moses H4397 מלאכים messengers H6946 מקדשׁ   H413 אל unto H4428 מלך the king H123 אדום of Edom, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H251 אחיך thy brother H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H859 אתה Thou H3045 ידעת knowest H853 את   H3605 כל all H8513 התלאה the travail H834 אשׁר that H4672 מצאתנו׃ hath befallen
  15 H3381 וירדו went down H1 אבתינו How our fathers H4714 מצרימה into Egypt, H3427 ונשׁב and we have dwelt H4714 במצרים in Egypt H3117 ימים time; H7227 רבים a long H7489 וירעו vexed H4713 לנו מצרים   H1 ולאבתינו׃ us, and our fathers:
  16 H6817 ונצעק And when we cried H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD, H8085 וישׁמע he heard H6963 קלנו our voice, H7971 וישׁלח and sent H4397 מלאך an angel, H3318 ויצאנו and hath brought us forth H4714 ממצרים   H2009 והנה and, behold, H587 אנחנו we H6946 בקדשׁ in Kadesh, H5892 עיר a city H7097 קצה in the uttermost H1366 גבולך׃ of thy border:
  17 H5674 נעברה Let us pass, H4994 נא I pray thee, H776 בארצך through thy country: H3808 לא we will not H5674 נעבר pass through H7704 בשׂדה the fields, H3754 ובכרם or through the vineyards, H3808 ולא neither H8354 נשׁתה will we drink H4325 מי the water H875 באר of the wells: H1870 דרך way, H4428 המלך by the king's H1980 נלך we will go H3808 לא we will not H5186 נטה turn H3225 ימין to the right hand H8040 ושׂמאול nor to the left, H5704 עד until H834 אשׁר until H5674 נעבר we have passed H1366 גבלך׃ thy borders.
  18 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H123 אדום And Edom H3808 לא him, Thou shalt not H5674 תעבר pass H6435 בי פן by me, lest H2719 בחרב thee with the sword. H3318 אצא I come out H7125 לקראתך׃ against
  19 H559 ויאמרו said H413 אליו unto H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4546 במסלה by the high way: H5927 נעלה him, We will go H518 ואם and if H4325 מימיך of thy water, H8354 נשׁתה drink H589 אני I H4735 ומקני and my cattle H5414 ונתתי   H4377 מכרם   H7535 רק for it: I will only, H369 אין without H1697 דבר any thing H7272 ברגלי on my feet. H5674 אעברה׃ go through
  20 H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא Thou shalt not H5674 תעבר go through. H3318 ויצא came out H123 אדום And Edom H7125 לקראתו against H5971 בעם people, H3515 כבד him with much H3027 וביד hand. H2389 חזקה׃ and with a strong
  21 H3985 וימאן refused H123 אדום Thus Edom H5414 נתן to give H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5674 עבר passage H1366 בגבלו through his border: H5186 ויט turned away H3478 ישׂראל wherefore Israel H5921 מעליו׃ from
