Deuteronomy 13

  1 H6965 If there arise [H8799]   H7130 among H5030 you a prophet H2492 , or a dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H5414 , and giveth [H8804]   H226 thee a sign H4159 or a wonder,
  2 H226 And the sign H4159 or the wonder H935 come to pass [H8804]   H1696 , whereof he spake [H8765]   H559 unto thee, saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H310 after H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which thou hast not known [H8804]   H5647 , and let us serve [H8714]   them;
  3 H8085 Thou shalt not hearken [H8799]   H1697 unto the words H5030 of that prophet H2492 , or that dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H3068 : for the LORD H430 your God H5254 proveth [H8764]   H3045 you, to know [H8800]   H3426 whether ye H157 love [H8802]   H3068 the LORD H430 your God H3824 with all your heart H5315 and with all your soul.
  4 H3212 Ye shall walk [H8799]   H310 after H3068 the LORD H430 your God H3372 , and fear [H8799]   H8104 him, and keep [H8799]   H4687 his commandments H8085 , and obey [H8799]   H6963 his voice H5647 , and ye shall serve [H8799]   H1692 him, and cleave [H8799]   unto him.
  5 H5030 And that prophet H2492 , or that dreamer [H8802]   H2472 of dreams H4191 , shall be put to death [H8714]   H1696 ; because he hath spoken [H8765]   H5627 to turn H3068 you away from the LORD H430 your God H3318 , which brought you out [H8688]   H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H6299 , and redeemed [H8802]   H1004 you out of the house H5650 of bondage H5080 , to thrust [H8687]   H1870 thee out of the way H3068 which the LORD H430 thy God H6680 commanded [H8765]   H3212 thee to walk in [H8800]   H1197 . So shalt thou put H7451 the evil H1197 away [H8765]   H7130 from the midst of thee.
  6 H251 If thy brother H1121 , the son H517 of thy mother H1121 , or thy son H1323 , or thy daughter H802 , or the wife H2436 of thy bosom H7453 , or thy friend H5315 , which is as thine own soul H5496 , entice [H8686]   H5643 thee secretly H559 , saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H5647 and serve [H8799]   H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which thou hast not known [H8804]   H1 , thou, nor thy fathers;
  7 H430 Namely, of the gods H5971 of the people H5439 which are round about H7138 you, nigh H7350 unto thee, or far off H7097 from thee, from the one end H776 of the earth H7097 even unto the other end H776 of the earth;
  8 H14 Thou shalt not consent [H8799]   H8085 unto him, nor hearken [H8799]   H5869 unto him; neither shall thine eye H2347 pity [H8799]   H2550 him, neither shalt thou spare [H8799]   H3680 , neither shalt thou conceal [H8762]   him:
  9 H2026 But thou shalt surely [H8800]   H2026 kill [H8799]   H3027 him; thine hand H7223 shall be first H4191 upon him to put him to death [H8687]   H314 , and afterwards H3027 the hand H5971 of all the people.
  10 H5619 And thou shalt stone [H8804]   H68 him with stones H4191 , that he die [H8804]   H1245 ; because he hath sought [H8765]   H5080 to thrust thee away [H8687]   H3068 from the LORD H430 thy God H3318 , which brought thee out [H8688]   H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H1004 , from the house H5650 of bondage.
  11 H3478 And all Israel H8085 shall hear [H8799]   H3372 , and fear [H8799]   H6213 , and shall do [H8800]   H3254 no more [H8686]   H1697 any H7451 such wickedness H7130 as this is among you.
  12 H8085 If thou shalt hear [H8799]   H259 say in one H5892 of thy cities H3068 , which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 hath given [H8802]   H3427 thee to dwell [H8800]   H559 there, saying [H8800]  ,
  13 H582 Certain men H1121 , the children H1100 of Belial H3318 , are gone out [H8804]   H7130 from among H5080 you, and have withdrawn [H8686]   H3427 the inhabitants [H8802]   H5892 of their city H559 , saying [H8800]   H3212 , Let us go [H8799]   H5647 and serve [H8799]   H312 other H430 gods H3045 , which ye have not known [H8804]  ;
  14 H1875 Then shalt thou enquire [H8804]   H2713 , and make search [H8804]   H7592 , and ask [H8804]   H3190 diligently [H8687]   H571 ; and, behold, if it be truth H1697 , and the thing H3559 certain [H8737]   H2063 , that such H8441 abomination H6213 is wrought [H8738]   H7130 among you;
  15 H5221 Thou shalt surely [H8687]   H5221 smite [H8686]   H3427 the inhabitants [H8802]   H5892 of that city H6310 with the edge H2719 of the sword H2763 , destroying it utterly [H8685]   H929 , and all that is therein, and the cattle H6310 thereof, with the edge H2719 of the sword.
  16 H6908 And thou shalt gather [H8799]   H7998 all the spoil H8432 of it into the midst H7339 of the street H8313 thereof, and shalt burn [H8804]   H784 with fire H5892 the city H7998 , and all the spoil H3632 thereof every whit H3068 , for the LORD H430 thy God H8510 : and it shall be an heap H5769 for ever H1129 ; it shall not be built again [H8735]  .
  17 H1692 And there shall cleave [H8799]   H3972 nought H2764 of the cursed thing H3027 to thine hand H3068 : that the LORD H7725 may turn [H8799]   H2740 from the fierceness H639 of his anger H5414 , and shew [H8804]   H7356 thee mercy H7355 , and have compassion [H8765]   H7235 upon thee, and multiply [H8689]   H7650 thee, as he hath sworn [H8738]   H1 unto thy fathers;
  18 H8085 When thou shalt hearken [H8799]   H6963 to the voice H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God H8104 , to keep [H8800]   H4687 all his commandments H6680 which I command [H8764]   H3117 thee this day H6213 , to do [H8800]   H3477 that which is right H5869 in the eyes H3068 of the LORD H430 thy God.

  2 H935 ובא come to pass, H226 האות And the sign H4159 והמופת or the wonder H834 אשׁר whereof H1696 דבר he spoke H413 אליך unto H559 לאמר thee, saying, H1980 נלכה Let us go H310 אחרי after H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא thou hast not H3045 ידעתם known, H5647 ונעבדם׃ and let us serve
  3 H3808 לא Thou shalt not H8085 תשׁמע hearken H413 אל unto H1697 דברי the words H5030 הנביא prophet, H1931 ההוא of that H176 או or H413 אל   H2492 חולם dreamer H2472 החלום of dreams: H1931 ההוא that H3588 כי for H5254 מנסה proveth H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H853 אתכם   H3045 לדעת you, to know H3426 הישׁכם whether H157 אהבים ye love H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H3605 בכל with all H3824 לבבכם your heart H3605 ובכל and with all H5315 נפשׁכם׃ your soul.
  4 H310 אחרי after H3069 יהוה   H430 אלהיכם your God, H1980 תלכו Ye shall walk H853 ואתו   H3372 תיראו and fear H853 ואת   H4687 מצותיו his commandments, H8104 תשׁמרו him, and keep H6963 ובקלו his voice, H8085 תשׁמעו and obey H853 ואתו   H5647 תעבדו and ye shall serve H1692 ובו תדבקון׃ him, and cleave
  5 H5030 והנביא prophet, H1931 ההוא And that H176 או or H2492 חלם dreamer H2472 החלום of dreams, H1931 ההוא that H4191 יומת shall be put to death; H3588 כי because H1696 דבר he hath spoken H5627 סרה to turn away H5921 על from H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God, H3318 המוציא   H853 אתכם   H776 מארץ of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H6299 והפדך and redeemed H1004 מבית you out of the house H5650 עבדים of bondage, H5080 להדיחך to thrust H4480 מן of the land H1870 הדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוך commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H1980 ללכת thee to walk H1197 בה ובערת   H7451 הרע   H7130 מקרבך׃ from the midst
  6 H3588 כי If H5496 יסיתך entice H251 אחיך thy brother, H1121 בן thy son, H517 אמך of thy mother, H176 או or H1121 בנך   H176 או or H1323 בתך thy daughter, H176 או or H802 אשׁת the wife H2436 חיקך of thy bosom, H176 או or H7453 רעך thy friend, H834 אשׁר which H5315 כנפשׁך as thine own soul, H5643 בסתר thee secretly, H559 לאמר saying, H1980 נלכה Let us go H5647 ונעבדה and serve H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא thou hast not H3045 ידעת known, H859 אתה thou, H1 ואבתיך׃ nor thy fathers;
  7 H430 מאלהי , of the gods H5971 העמים of the people H834 אשׁר which H5439 סביבתיכם round about H7138 הקרבים you, nigh H413 אליך unto H176 או thee, or H7350 הרחקים far off H4480 ממך of the gods H7097 מקצה thee, from the end H776 הארץ of the earth H5704 ועד even unto H7097 קצה the end H776 הארץ׃ of the earth;
  8 H3808 לא Thou shalt not H14 תאבה consent H3808 לו ולא unto him, nor H8085 תשׁמע hearken H413 אליו unto H3808 ולא him; neither H2347 תחוס pity H5869 עינך shall thine eye H5921 עליו pity H3808 ולא him, neither H2550 תחמל shalt thou spare, H3808 ולא neither H3680 תכסה shalt thou conceal H5921 עליו׃ shalt thou conceal
  9 H3588 כי But H2026 הרג thou shalt surely kill H2026 תהרגנו thou shalt surely kill H3027 ידך him; thine hand H1961 תהיה shall be H7223 בו בראשׁונה first H4191 להמיתו upon him to put him to death, H3027 ויד the hand H3605 כל of all H5971 העם the people. H314 באחרנה׃ and afterwards
  10 H5619 וסקלתו And thou shalt stone H68 באבנים him with stones, H4191 ומת that he die; H3588 כי because H1245 בקשׁ he hath sought H5080 להדיחך to thrust thee away H5921 מעל from H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H3318 המוציאך which brought thee out H776 מארץ of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H1004 מבית from the house H5650 עבדים׃ of bondage.
  11 H3605 וכל And all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H8085 ישׁמעו shall hear, H3372 ויראון and fear, H3808 ולא no H3254 יוספו more H6213 לעשׂות and shall do H1697 כדבר any H7451 הרע such wickedness H2088 הזה as this H7130 בקרבך׃ is among
  12 H3588 כי If H8085 תשׁמע thou shalt hear H259 באחת in one H5892 עריך of thy cities, H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5414 נתן hath given H3427 לך לשׁבת thee to dwell H8033 שׁם there, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  13 H3318 יצאו are gone out H376 אנשׁים men, H1121 בני the children H1100 בליעל of Belial, H7130 מקרבך from among H5080 וידיחו you, and have withdrawn H853 את   H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H5892 עירם of their city, H559 לאמר saying, H1980 נלכה Let us go H5647 ונעבדה and serve H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא ye have not H3045 ידעתם׃ known;
  14 H1875 ודרשׁת Then shalt thou inquire, H2713 וחקרת and make search, H7592 ושׁאלת and ask H3190 היטב diligently; H2009 והנה and, behold, H571 אמת truth, H3559 נכון certain, H1697 הדבר the thing H6213 נעשׂתה is wrought H8441 התועבה abomination H2063 הזאת such H7130 בקרבך׃ among
  15 H5221 הכה   H5221 תכה   H853 את   H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H5892 העיר city H1931 ההוא of that H6310 לפי with the edge H2719 חרב of the sword, H2763 החרם   H853 אתה   H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H834 אשׁר that H853 בה ואת   H929 בהמתה therein, and the cattle H6310 לפי thereof, with the edge H2719 חרב׃ of the sword.
  16 H853 ואת   H3605 כל all H7998 שׁללה the spoil H6908 תקבץ And thou shalt gather H413 אל of it into H8432 תוך the midst H7339 רחבה of the street H8313 ושׂרפת thereof, and shalt burn H784 באשׁ with fire H853 את   H5892 העיר the city, H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H7998 שׁללה the spoil H3632 כליל thereof every whit, H3068 ליהוה for the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God: H1961 והיתה and it shall be H8510 תל a heap H5769 עולם forever; H3808 לא it shall not H1129 תבנה be built H5750 עוד׃ again.
  17 H3808 ולא naught H1692 ידבק And there shall cleave H3027 בידך to thine hand: H3972 מאומה naught H4480 מן of H2764 החרם the cursed thing H4616 למען that H7725 ישׁוב may turn H3068 יהוה the LORD H2740 מחרון from the fierceness H639 אפו of his anger, H5414 ונתן and show H7356 לך רחמים thee mercy, H7355 ורחמך and have compassion H7235 והרבך upon thee, and multiply H834 כאשׁר thee, as H7650 נשׁבע he hath sworn H1 לאבתיך׃ unto thy fathers;
  18 H3588 כי When H8085 תשׁמע thou shalt hearken H6963 בקול to the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H8104 לשׁמר to keep H853 את   H3605 כל all H4687 מצותיו his commandments H834 אשׁר which H595 אנכי I H6680 מצוך command H3117 היום thee this day, H6213 לעשׂות to do H3477 הישׁר right H5869 בעיני in the eyes H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיך׃ thy God.
