  2 H7069 So I got [H8799]   H232 a girdle H1697 according to the word H3068 of the LORD H7760 , and put [H8799]   H4975 it on my loins.
  3 H1697 And the word H3068 of the LORD H8145 came unto me the second time H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
  4 H3947 Take [H8798]   H232 the girdle H7069 that thou hast got [H8804]   H4975 , which is upon thy loins H6965 , and arise [H8798]   H3212 , go [H8798]   H6578 to Euphrates H2934 , and hide [H8798]   H5357 it there in a hole H5553 of the rock.
  5 H3212 So I went [H8799]   H2934 , and hid [H8799]   H6578 it by Euphrates H3068 , as the LORD H6680 commanded [H8765]   me.
  6 H7093 And it came to pass after H7227 many H3117 days H3068 , that the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H6965 unto me, Arise [H8798]   H3212 , go [H8798]   H6578 to Euphrates H3947 , and take [H8798]   H232 the girdle H6680 from thence, which I commanded [H8765]   H2934 thee to hide [H8800]   there.
  7 H3212 Then I went [H8799]   H6578 to Euphrates H2658 , and digged [H8799]   H3947 , and took [H8799]   H232 the girdle H4725 from the place H2934 where I had hid [H8804]   H232 it: and, behold, the girdle H7843 was marred [H8738]   H6743 , it was profitable [H8799]   for nothing.
  8 H1697 Then the word H3068 of the LORD H559 came unto me, saying [H8800]  ,
  9 H559 Thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H7843 , After this manner will I mar [H8686]   H1347 the pride H3063 of Judah H7227 , and the great H1347 pride H3389 of Jerusalem.
  10 H7451 This evil H5971 people H3987 , which refuse H8085 to hear [H8800]   H1697 my words H1980 , which walk [H8802]   H8307 in the imagination H3820 of their heart H3212 , and walk [H8799]   H310 after H312 other H430 gods H5647 , to serve [H8800]   H7812 them, and to worship [H8692]   H232 them, shall even be as this girdle H6743 , which is good [H8799]   for nothing.
  11 H232 For as the girdle H1692 cleaveth [H8799]   H4975 to the loins H376 of a man H1692 , so have I caused to cleave [H8689]   H1004 unto me the whole house H3478 of Israel H1004 and the whole house H3063 of Judah H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H5971 ; that they might be unto me for a people H8034 , and for a name H8416 , and for a praise H8597 , and for a glory H8085 : but they would not hear [H8804]  .
  12 H559 Therefore thou shalt speak [H8804]   H1697 unto them this word H559 ; Thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H5035 , Every bottle H4390 shall be filled [H8735]   H3196 with wine H559 : and they shall say [H8804]   H3045 unto thee, Do we not certainly [H8800]   H3045 know [H8799]   H5035 that every bottle H4390 shall be filled [H8735]   H3196 with wine?
  13 H559 Then shalt thou say [H8804]   H559 unto them, Thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H4390 , Behold, I will fill [H8764]   H3427 all the inhabitants [H8802]   H776 of this land H4428 , even the kings H3427 that sit [H8802]   H1732 upon David's H3678 throne H3548 , and the priests H5030 , and the prophets H3427 , and all the inhabitants [H8802]   H3389 of Jerusalem H7943 , with drunkenness.
  14 H5310 And I will dash [H8765]   H376 them one H251 against another H1 , even the fathers H1121 and the sons H3162 together H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H2550 : I will not pity [H8799]   H2347 , nor spare [H8799]   H7355 , nor have mercy [H8762]   H7843 , but destroy [H8687]   them.
  15 H8085 Hear [H8798]   H238 ye, and give ear [H8685]   H1361 ; be not proud [H8799]   H3068 : for the LORD H1696 hath spoken [H8765]  .

  18 H559 Say [H8798]   H4428 unto the king H1377 and to the queen H8213 , Humble [H8685]   H3427 yourselves, sit down [H8798]   H4761 : for your principalities H3381 shall come down [H8804]   H5850 , even the crown H8597 of your glory.
  19 H5892 The cities H5045 of the south H5462 shall be shut up [H8795]   H6605 , and none shall open [H8802]   H3063 them : Judah H1540 shall be carried away captive [H8717]   H7965 all of it, it shall be wholly H1540 carried away captive [H8717]  .
