  38 H8145 And the other H8426 company of them that gave thanks H1980 went [H8802]   H4136 over against H310 them, and I after H2677 them, and the half H5971 of the people H2346 upon the wall H4026 , from beyond the tower H8574 of the furnaces H7342 even unto the broad H2346 wall;

  40 H5975 So stood [H8799]   H8147 the two H8426 companies of them that gave thanks H1004 in the house H430 of God H2677 , and I, and the half H5461 of the rulers with me:

  42 H4641 And Maaseiah H8098 , and Shemaiah H499 , and Eleazar H5813 , and Uzzi H3076 , and Jehohanan H4441 , and Malchijah H5867 , and Elam H5829 , and Ezer H7891 . And the singers [H8789]   H8085 sang loud [H8686]   H3156 , with Jezrahiah H6496 their overseer.
  43 H3117 Also that day H2076 they offered [H8799]   H1419 great H2077 sacrifices H8055 , and rejoiced [H8799]   H430 : for God H8055 had made them rejoice [H8765]   H1419 with great H8057 joy H802 : the wives H3206 also and the children H8055 rejoiced [H8804]   H8057 : so that the joy H3389 of Jerusalem H8085 was heard [H8735]   H7350 even afar off.

  45 H7891 And both the singers [H8789]   H7778 and the porters H8104 kept [H8799]   H4931 the ward H430 of their God H4931 , and the ward H2893 of the purification H4687 , according to the commandment H1732 of David H8010 , and of Solomon H1121 his son.
  46 H3117 For in the days H1732 of David H623 and Asaph H6924 of old H7218 there were chief H7891 of the singers [H8789]   H7892 , and songs H8416 of praise H3034 and thanksgiving [H8687]   H430 unto God.
  47 H3478 And all Israel H3117 in the days H2216 of Zerubbabel H3117 , and in the days H5166 of Nehemiah H5414 , gave [H8802]   H4521 the portions H7891 of the singers [H8789]   H7778 and the porters H3117 , every day H1697 his portion H6942 : and they sanctified [H8688]   H3881 holy things unto the Levites H3881 ; and the Levites H6942 sanctified [H8688]   H1121 them unto the children H175 of Aaron.
