And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H1732 to David H3212 [H8798] , Go H5221 [H8689] , and smite H6430 the Philistines H3467 [H8689] , and save H7084 Keilah.
  3 H1732 And David's H582 men H559 [H8799] said H3373 to him, Behold, we are afraid H3063 here in Judah H3212 [H8799] : how much more then if we come H7084 to Keilah H4634 against the armies H6430 of the Philistines?
  4 H1732 Then David H7592 [H8800] enquired H3068 of the LORD H3254 [H8686] yet again H3068 . And the LORD H6030 [H8799] answered H559 [H8799] him and said H6965 [H8798] , Arise H3381 [H8798] , go down H7084 to Keilah H5414 [H8802] ; for I will deliver H6430 the Philistines H3027 into thy hand.
  5 H1732 So David H582 and his men H3212 [H8799] went H7084 to Keilah H3898 [H8735] , and fought H6430 with the Philistines H5090 [H8799] , and brought away H4735 their cattle H5221 [H8686] , and smote H1419 them with a great H4347 slaughter H1732 . So David H3467 [H8686] saved H3427 [H8802] the inhabitants H7084 of Keilah.
  6 H54 And it came to pass, when Abiathar H1121 the son H288 of Ahimelech H1272 [H8800] fled H1732 to David H7084 to Keilah H3381 [H8804] , that he came down H646 with an ephod H3027 in his hand.
  7 H5046 [H8714] And it was told H7586 to Saul H1732 that David H935 [H8804] had come H7084 to Keilah H7586 . And Saul H559 [H8799] said H430 , God H5234 [H8765] hath delivered H3027 him into my hand H5462 [H8738] ; for he is shut in H935 [H8800] , by entering H5892 into a town H1817 that hath gates H1280 and bars.

  9 H1732 And David H3045 [H8799] knew H7586 that Saul H2790 [H8688] secretly devised H7451 mischief H559 [H8799] against him; and he said H54 to Abiathar H3548 the priest H5066 [H8685] , Bring here H646 the ephod.
  10 H559 [H8799] Then said H1732 David H3068 , O LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H5650 , thy servant H8085 [H8800] hath certainly H8085 [H8804] heard H7586 that Saul H1245 [H8764] seeketh H935 [H8800] to come H7084 to Keilah H7843 [H8763] , to destroy H5892 the city for my sake.
  11 H1167 Will the men H7084 of Keilah H5462 [H8686] deliver me up H3027 into his hand H7586 ? will Saul H3381 [H8799] come down H5650 , as thy servant H8085 [H8804] hath heard H3068 ? O LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H5046 [H8685] , I beseech thee, tell H5650 thy servant H3068 . And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H3381 [H8799] , He will come down.
  12 H559 [H8799] Then said H1732 David H1167 , Will the men H7084 of Keilah H5462 [H8686] deliver H582 me and my men H3027 into the hand H7586 of Saul H3068 ? And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H5462 [H8686] , They will deliver thee up.
  13 H1732 Then David H582 and his men H8337 , who were about six H3967 H376 hundred H6965 [H8799] , arose H3318 [H8799] and departed H7084 from Keilah H1980 [H8691] , and went H834 wherever H1980 [H8691] they could go H5046 [H8717] . And it was told H7586 Saul H1732 that David H4422 [H8738] had escaped H7084 from Keilah H2308 [H8799] ; and he did not H3318 [H8800] go there.
  14 H1732 And David H3427 [H8799] abode H4057 in the wilderness H4679 in strong holds H3427 [H8799] , and remained H2022 in a mountain H4057 in the wilderness H2128 of Ziph H7586 . And Saul H1245 [H8762] sought H3117 him every day H430 , but God H5414 [H8804] delivered H3027 him not into his hand.
  15 H1732 And David H7200 [H8799] saw H7586 that Saul H3318 [H8804] had come out H1245 [H8763] to seek H5315 his life H1732 : and David H4057 was in the wilderness H2128 of Ziph H2793 in a wood.
  16 H3083 And Jonathan H7586 Saul's H1121 son H6965 [H8799] arose H3212 [H8799] , and went H1732 to David H2793 into the wood H2388 [H8762] , and strengthened H3027 his hand H430 in God.

  18 H8147 And they two H3772 [H8799] made H1285 a covenant H6440 before H3068 the LORD H1732 : and David H3427 [H8799] abode H2793 in the wood H3083 , and Jonathan H1980 [H8804] went H1004 to his house.
  19 H5927 [H8799] Then came up H2130 the Ziphites H7586 to Saul H1390 to Gibeah H559 [H8800] , saying H1732 , Doth not David H5641 [H8693] hide H4679 himself with us in strong holds H2793 in the wood H1389 , in the hill H2444 of Hachilah H3225 , which is on the south H3452 of Jeshimon?
  20 H4428 Now therefore, O king H3381 [H8798] , come down H185 according to all the desire H5315 of thy soul H3381 [H8800] to come down H5462 [H8687] ; and our part shall be to deliver H4428 him into the king's H3027 hand.
  21 H7586 And Saul H559 [H8799] said H1288 [H8803] , Blessed H3068 be ye of the LORD H2550 [H8804] ; for ye have compassion on me.
  22 H3212 [H8798] Go H3559 [H8685] , I pray you, prepare H3045 [H8798] yet, and know H7200 [H8798] and see H4725 his place H7272 where his haunt H7200 [H8804] is, and who hath seen H559 [H8804] him there: for it is told H6191 [H8800] to me that he dealeth very H6191 [H8686] subtilly.

  25 H7586 Saul H582 also and his men H3212 [H8799] went H1245 [H8763] to seek H5046 [H8686] him. And they told H1732 David H3381 [H8799] : therefore he came down H5553 into a rock H3427 [H8799] , and abode H4057 in the wilderness H4584 of Maon H7586 . And when Saul H8085 [H8799] heard H7291 [H8799] that, he pursued H310 after H1732 David H4057 in the wilderness H4584 of Maon.
  26 H7586 And Saul H3212 [H8799] went H6654 on this side H2022 of the mountain H1732 , and David H582 and his men H6654 on that side H2022 of the mountain H1732 : and David H2648 [H8737] made haste H3212 [H8800] to get away H6440 for fear H7586 of Saul H7586 ; for Saul H582 and his men H5849 0 surrounded H1732 David H582 and his men H5849 [H8802] on all sides H8610 [H8800] to take them.
  27 H935 [H8804] But there came H4397 a messenger H7586 to Saul H559 [H8800] , saying H4116 [H8761] , Haste H3212 [H8798] thee, and come H6430 ; for the Philistines H6584 [H8804] have invaded H776 the land.
  28 H7586 Therefore Saul H7725 [H8799] returned H7291 [H8800] from pursuing H310 after H1732 David H3212 [H8799] , and went H7125 [H8800] against H6430 the Philistines H7121 [H8804] : therefore they called H4725 that place H5555 Selahammahlekoth.
  29 H1732 Then David H5927 [H8799] went up H3427 [H8799] from there, and dwelt H4679 in strong holds H5872 at Engedi.
