11 And the multitudes, seeing what Paul did, lifted up their voice in the language of Lycaonia, saying, "The gods, made like to men, came down to us!"
12 And they were calling Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercury, since he was the chief speaker.
13 And the priest of Jupiter whose temple was before the city, having brought oxen and garlands to the gates, together with the multitudes, was wishing to offer sacrifice.
14 But the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, hearing of it, having rent their garments, leaped forth among the multitude, crying out,
15 and saying, "Men, why do ye these things? We also are men of like nature with you, proclaiming to you glad tidings, that ye should turn from these vanities to the living God, Who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them;
