1 Samuel 6:9-19 And see; if it goeth up by the way of its own border to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

10 H582 And the men H6213 did so, H3947 and took H8147 two H5763 milch H6510 kine, H631 and tied H5699 them to the cart, H3607 and shut up H1121 their calves H1004 at home;

11 H7760 and they put H727 the ark H3068 of Jehovah H5699 upon the cart, H712 and the coffer H5909 with the mice H2091 of gold H6754 and the images H2914 of their tumors.

12 H6510 And the kine H3474 took the straight H1870 way H1870 by the way H1053 to Beth-shemesh; H1980 they went along H4546 the highway, H1600 lowing H1980 as they went, H5493 and turned not aside H3225 to the right hand H8040 or to the left; H5633 and the lords H6430 of the Philistines H1980 went H310 after H1366 them unto the border H1053 of Beth-shemesh.

13 H1053 And they of Beth-shemesh H7114 were reaping H2406 their wheat H7105 harvest H6010 in the valley; H5375 and they lifted up H5869 their eyes, H7200 and saw H727 the ark, H8055 and rejoiced H7200 to see it.

14 H5699 And the cart H935 came H7704 into the field H3091 of Joshua H1030 the Beth-shemite, H5975 and stood H1419 there, where there was a great H68 stone: H1234 and they clave H6086 the wood H5699 of the cart, H5927 and offered H6510 up the kine H5930 for a burnt-offering H3068 unto Jehovah.

15 H3881 And the Levites H3381 took down H727 the ark H3068 of Jehovah, H712 and the coffer H3627 that was with it, wherein the jewels H2091 of gold H7760 were, and put H1419 them on the great H68 stone: H582 and the men H1053 of Beth-shemesh H5927 offered H5930 burnt-offerings H5927 and sacrificed H2077 sacrifices H3117 the same day H3068 unto Jehovah.

16 H2568 And when the five H5633 lords H6430 of the Philistines H7200 had seen H7725 it, they returned H6138 to Ekron H3117 the same day.

17 H2091 And these are the golden H2914 tumors H6430 which the Philistines H7725 returned H817 for a trespass-offering H3068 unto Jehovah: H795 for Ashdod H259 one, H5804 for Gaza H259 one, H831 for Ashkelon H259 one, H1661 for Gath H259 one, H6138 for Ekron H259 one;

18 H2091 and the golden H5909 mice, H4557 according to the number H5892 of all the cities H6430 of the Philistines H2568 belonging to the five H5633 lords, H4013 both of fortified H5892 cities H6521 and of country H3724 villages, H1419 even unto the great H59 stone, H3240 whereon they set down H727 the ark H3068 of Jehovah, H3117 which stone remaineth unto this day H7704 in the field H3091 of Joshua H1030 the Beth-shemite.

19 H5221 And he smote H376 of the men H1053 of Beth-shemesh, H7200 because they had looked H727 into the ark H3068 of Jehovah, H5221 he smote H5971 of the people H582 seventy men, H2572 and fifty H505 thousand H582 men; H582 and the people H56 mourned, H3068 because Jehovah H5221 had smitten H5971 the people H1419 with a great H4347 slaughter.
