Isaiah 25 O Jehovah, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth.

2 H7760 For thou hast made H5892 of a city H1530 a heap, H1219 of a fortified H7151 city H4654 a ruin, H759 a palace H2114 of strangers H5892 to be no city; H5769 it shall never H1129 be built.

3 H5794 Therefore shall a strong H5971 people H3513 glorify H7151 thee; a city H6184 of terrible H1471 nations H3372 shall fear thee.

4 H4581 For thou hast been a stronghold H1800 to the poor, H4581 a stronghold H34 to the needy H6862 in his distress, H4268 a refuge H2230 from the storm, H6738 a shade H2721 from the heat, H7307 when the blast H6184 of the terrible ones H2230 is as a storm H7023 against the wall.

5 H2721 As the heat H6724 in a dry place H3665 wilt thou bring down H7588 the noise H2114 of strangers; H2721 as the heat H6738 by the shade H5645 of a cloud, H2159 the song H6184 of the terrible ones H6030 shall be brought low.

6 H2022 And in this mountain H3068 will Jehovah H6635 of hosts H6213 make H5971 unto all peoples H4960 a feast H8081 of fat things, H4960 a feast H8105 of wines on the lees, H8081 of fat things H4229 full of marrow, H8105 of wines on the lees H2212 well refined.

7 H1104 And he will destroy H2022 in this mountain H6440 the face H3875 of the covering H3874 that covereth H5971 all peoples, H4541 and the veil H5259 that is spread H1471 over all nations.

8 H1104 He hath swallowed up H4194 death H5331 for ever; H136 and the Lord H3069 Jehovah H4229 will wipe away H1832 tears H6440 from off all faces; H2781 and the reproach H5971 of his people H5493 will he take away H776 from off all the earth: H3068 for Jehovah H1696 hath spoken it.

9 H559 And it shall be said H3117 in that day, H430 Lo, this is our God; H6960 we have waited H3467 for him, and he will save H3068 us: this is Jehovah; H6960 we have waited H1523 for him, we will be glad H8055 and rejoice H3444 in his salvation.

10 H2022 For in this mountain H3027 will the hand H3068 of Jehovah H5117 rest; H4124 and Moab H1758 shall be trodden down H4963 in his place, even as straw H1758 is trodden down H4087 in the water of the dunghill.

11 H6566 And he shall spread forth H3027 his hands H7130 in the midst H7811 thereof, as he that swimmeth H6566 spreadeth forth H7811 his hands to swim; H8213 but Jehovah will lay low H1346 his pride H698 together with the craft H3027 of his hands.

12 H4869 And the high H4013 fortress H2346 of thy walls H7817 hath he brought down, H8213 laid low, H5060 and brought H776 to the ground, H6083 even to the dust.
